This is the place to stay when in Hong Kong. My last visit was at the Hyatt (also very nice). But I f you are part of the Hilton Family - you must stay here! My room upgrade was over the top, the Executive Lounge is very nice, breakfast is amazingly good, location is great, gym/pool is nice and the restaurants are all you would expect of a top 5-Star hotel (Michelin Star restaurant & a second restaurant has a Michelin * Chef). You can stay in many nice places in Hong Kong... but why would you? Collapse

Choosing between this and the neighbouring Shangri-La is a tough call. Both good sized rooms (almost identically sized), similar facilities etc. I have used restaurants in neither. The gym facilities at the Shang are certainly better (they let you use the gym, showers, plunge pools etc until check-out which is a great help if you have a late flight out!) whilst Conrad offers easier access to the Pacific Place shopping centre. Choose either, you'll be happy! Collapse

My wife and I stayed at Conrad Hong Kong during a recent trip in May 2017. We arrived at the Airport and caught the Airport Express straight to the Hong Kong Station. From the Hong Kong Station, it was just a short hop to the Airport Express shuttle bus to the Pacific Place stop (there isn't a dedicated stop for Conrad as Pacific Place has 3 big hotels in its close proximity). From the bus stop at the Pacific Place driveway, it's a short walk over to the central elevators and up to the 5th floor where the linkway to Conrad is. There aren't that many signs to the lift so we had to wander around for a bit before locating the lifts. As we arrived at about 3.30pm, this was peak check-in hour and being a big business hotel, check-in took a little bit of time (but nothing out of the ordinary). Check-in was prompt and quick, and our preferred room (on the 51st floor) selected using the Hilton App a day before arrival was available for us. We selected a King Deluxe Peak View Room on this occasion and the room did not disappoint. There are huge windows which provided excellent views of The Peak and the mountain/hill range just behind the hotel. Upon entering the room, first impression was that it was huge (certainly by Hong Kong standards) - this was almost double the size from some of the other Hong Kong hotels that we've previously stayed at. The design of the room, however, was somewhat dated and the rooms did look somewhat in need of a makeover given the pricing and what you could get from the nearby competition. The bathroom was very large with a separate shower and bath area, as well as a separate room for use of the WC. There was also a TV in the bathroom which was a nice touch. Bathroom amenities were good (Aromatherapy Associates, UK) but what was even better was that they allowed you to "order" several other sets of bathroom amenities. During our stay, we also ordered the "Shanghai Tang" bathroom toiletries and 2 full sets were brought over to our room. Service at the hotel was good, the staff were generally courteous but not over-the-top. As a Hilton Honors member, we were also offered a Welcome Drink for 2 and this could be used at the Lobby Lounge anytime during our stay. We enjoyed this benefit on the second night of our stay and weren't disappointed because they served a very sizeable glass of wine to both of us. As a Hilton Honors member, the use of the internet was also free - which is a must given the high cost for use of the wireless internet access. Our only 2 minor qualms during this trip were (1) the Nespresso machine in the room was somewhat dirty with residue of coffee stains in both the machine (dried coffee powder residue and the first rinse of the machine came out brown-coloured water) and a dirty coffee mug with a stain on the side, and (2) a less-than-friendly check-out agent who appeared somewhat too eager to get on with payment. All said, this is an excellent hotel with an unbeatable location in Admiralty. It is directly connected to Pacific Place (ultra upmarket mall) which is, in turn, connected to the Admiralty MTR. For the price, there are various other competitors in the nearby vicinity that we would consider trying out in the future but if the price is right, we'll certainly keep the Conrad in mind during our next visit to HK.
