An enthusiastic two thumbs up to the Conrad Hong Kong and its staff! Having stayed at the Conrad in Koh Samui, Bangkok, and Istanbul, our expectations were high for the Conrad Hong Kong. We were not disappointed at all. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is unrivalled located adjacent to the metro in the Central District. Located on the 61st floor we had an unparalleled view of Victoria Harbor, and the view was stunning. Staff always make or break a stay. We can categorically say that the staff at the Conrad Hong Kong made our stay! It started from the moment we arrived at the hotel, which was pretty early - 8:30 am to be exact. After a long 15 hour flight, we were understandably tired. We were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready and an early check in was provided. Andy, one of the bellman was outstanding in providing his daily wisdom on getting to the sights we had selected to visit. His advice was spot on all the time. Each of our days were jam packed from early in the day to the evening. Being able to relax in the executive lounge in the evening and interact with the highly professional staff was a highlight of each day. Two people in particular stand out. The first was Ken Cho, the Assistant Manager for Butler Services. He was an encyclopedia of information on all things ‘Hong Kong’. Ken had clearly been in this business for quite some time as he was professional in all aspects. We additionally noticed a new member of the Conrad Hong Kong, and that was Cayley Yeung, who had just completed her first full week at the Conrad. Though new, her enthusiasm came through and she was eager to assist. It was clear that she will be an asset to the hotel. A big thanks to Thomas Hoeborn, the General Manager, and Jan Jansen, the Hotel Manager for providing the leadership to such a fine group of employees. When we visit Hong Kong again, we will certainly stay at the Conrad. Collapse

The Sunday brunch experience does not seem to be what it used to be. I've been doing to this established Sunday brunch for the past 6 years and was my favorite Sunday brunch offering in Hong Kong. However, following yesterdays brunch, it seems to have lost some of its sparkle and bubble, and I'm not talking about the champagne flow. The staff were as always attentive and our waitress was amazing. Unfortunately as I have an allergy to champagne, on all previous trips I have always been allowed to swap drinks and have Bloody Mary's instead of the champagne for no extra charge.. NOT this time. so in addition to paying for the free flow champagne that I didn't drink, I had to pay for the bloody Mary's. Some of the hot food dishes looked quite dry and uninviting and was not always as hot as you would have expected it to be. Collapse

The Conrad Hotel is treasure of Hong Kong. The facilities are exquisite and the staff is formal but personal and very caring. My room on the top 61st floor made for fabulous views even though the weather very cloudy for my two day business trip. My room was so comfortable and inviting. Upon arrival around 10pm in this executive room I was greeted to soft lighting. Music coming from speakers throughout the suite. On an ottoman was a tray with a bottle of cabernet and two glasses, five macaroons and a plate of fruit. Moments later there was knock on my door and a gentleman delivered me a teapot, cup and saucer with Welcome Tea service. The room was comfortable and delightful. The Executive Lounge on the 58th Floor had a decent breakfast selection. It was “smaller” than I had expected – the JW Marriott next door really set the mark for Executive Suites that I have experienced in my global travels – but I don’t travel for the purposes of spending a lot of time in Executive Suites. And, like the rest of the hotel this is a class act. For those who care about meetings. I was there to speak at a relatively small business event and the meeting room on the 7th floor that the company used was very nicely set up and there was staff there the whole time helping our company organizers. We have a group lunch in an adjacent room that was as good as any plated event lunch that I have ever had – probably better. What a wonderful experience. Collapse
