I had high hopes for the Conrad after enjoying the Macau property. The welcome couldnt have been more different. I turned up first thing in the morning to check in and drop my bags and there was no one at reception. I stood foe 5 min and eventually the doorman tried to find someone. Came back later to the room and it was nice but nothing special. Comfortable and functional bit no wow factor and perhaps a little tired. Location is good with the huge mall and once you get the lay of the land it is easy to find your way around. The lifts are a bit like a zoo. Slow and very busy and going up and down can be tiresome and slow. The biggest let down was the executive lounge. Cramped and unpleasant. Tiny tables and low seating and the staff, whilst friendly, are poorly trained. They don't clear the tables which means the tables become cluttered and the only way to deal with this was to move things to another lxtable which seemed to upset them rather than make the staff realise they need to clear things. The worst part was arriving at 5.30pm for the cocktail and was faced with a line 5 deep. Within minutes there was a line of probably 20 people filling the lift lobby. A bit like I would imagine black Monday at the Apple Store rather than an executive lounge atmosphere. This was greatly worsened by the lack of ability of any of the staff to properly deal with the situation. They all rushed around with eyes locked to the floor and not acknowledging a single person except for the one at the front of the line. They really need to learn some customer care and shoukd have staff handling this situation. To be frank, stop selling the upgrades to the executive floor when you can't accommodate guests. I am a good card member and entitled to the executive lounge but if you can't deliver on the promise then don't offer it. I found the service lacklustre at best and compared to the Conrad Macau, night and day and you should send a team to that property to understand your benchmark. My conclusion is that for the price there is way better in HK and I wouldn't return to the Conrad based on the lacklustre care for guests. Collapse

Location and room size are fine, but this hotel and the JW are from another era and have yet to be sufficiently updated to compete with any of the newer or better 5 star hotels in Hong Kong. Rooms are dated, service was inconsistent, elevators packed with conventioneers, nothing special at all across my stay. This is a business conference hotel, not one where you will receive any special attention. Its nice being over the Pacific Place mall. If you are looking for a special stay, the Four Season, Ritz and Peninsula are far better choices. Collapse

This was our very best stay ever at the Conrad. We loved our spacious Harbour facing room on the 43rd Floor. It even had a TV in the bathroom! The staff were all gracious and helpful, despite the incredible froth of activity that had enveloped the Hotel over this early part of the Yuletide season. There are computer facilities available on the Lobby Floor and a state of the art yet soothing gymnasium with clean cream lines down a stairwell from the Below Lobby LL Floor. Collapse
Luxury, yet homely

The hotel is like 5 star luxury liner. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are beautifully prepared and laundry/pressing turned around quickly and immaculately. This hotel excels at "old style" service. The only hotel in Hong Kong to stay at!

The hotel is above a very high end mall and is centrally located to everything. The staff made sure I received everything I needed and went above and beyond. Very clean room and nice views of the harbor.
