From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming. We stayed in the suite and it is very spacious for a family of 4. They have a leisure centre and kids club so our kids really enjoyed the pool and club. The hotel was so good that when we ventured out into galway our kids begged us to go back to the hotel because they had so much fun. We stayed here for the first time in December and when we arrived back in March many of the staff reconised us. Overall I cannot recommend this family friendly hotel highly enough Collapse

I booked a very (very) last minute Confirmation dinner for my Son and all my family (all 25+ of us) at the begging of March and I was put in contact with Rebecca in conferencing, Rebecca went above and beyond to fit us in and treated it like it was no problem, even though I increased the numbers each time we were in contact : ) Everything went great! My Son LOVED the customized menu's Rebecca did with his picture on them, it really made it for him! I actually never ate in the restaurant before (only bar food) the food was amazing and everyone said it, so I was thrilled! It really was perfect. I hope that my review makes it way to Rebecca, the Chef and also, there was a blonde woman and blonde waitress that were looking after us and they couldn't have been more brilliant, wish I could have caught their names! Stayed for one night here recently whilst attending a soccer match in nearby Deacy Park. There’s plenty of parking to the front of the hotel, and also some underground parking. The hotel is in a good location, and is on a very busy road. Check in was prompt, and it seemed like an age before we got to our room; it’s a very big hotel, and the corridors seemed endless! Our room was on the 3rd floor, was quite big and had a balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, there was an in-room safe and plenty of toiletries etc. We went to the leisure centre shortly after our arrival, and this is a very good facility. Lockers are free, but if you have valuables to store, keys are €5 which is refundable. Best not to bring valuables of any kind with you to the pool. Really enjoyed the swim, but had to ask one of the lifeguards on duty to remove children from the swimming lanes, and adults who decided to stand in the lanes and have a chat. Showers in the pool were good. Had a meal in the hotel restaurant following our return from the match. There was another match on the TV in the bar which is beside the restaurant, and which could be seen from the dining area. We asked for a table for two and were directed to one in the corner. We declined the offer as the TV wasn’t visible from the corner and pointed to another table that suited us better. The waitress wasn’t a bit pleased with this, and huffed and puffed in annoyance. What happened to customer service? Unfortunately she wasn’t wearing a name badge (all other staff had them) and was dressed differently too - wearing a navy waistcoat, (but not sure whether she wore a skirt or trousers), which made us think she was a supervisor. She sent another staff member to take our order and did not come near our table for the duration of our meal. I caught her several times glaring in our direction. Despite this ridiculous behaviour, our meals were good and we retired to our room afterwards. Had a good night’s sleep until we were abruptly woken by the incessant siren of a car alarm somewhere in the vicinity, and which went on for about 90 minutes. On our way to breakfast we noticed a pizza box discarded on the 3rd floor near the lifts. Breakfast was just ok, nothing exciting. There are a few things that need to be attended to – there was dark nail varnish on the dresser in our room, one of the curtains was hanging off the curtain rail, there was chewing gum and some items of rubbish on the balcony, the towel rail plug in the bathroom was popping out of the wall, and on some of the corridors the carpet is frayed in several places. We filled in the comment card for our stay and mentioned the unpleasant waitress in the restaurant. We had absolutely no problem with the other staff we encountered, they were friendly and cheerful. The other matters are things that the household staff should see, so we didn’t mention them on our comment card. It’s not a bad hotel, but be aware that it caters for bus loads of tourists, so you could be left waiting a very long time to check in or out if you happen to arrive at the wrong time. There is a swift check out facility where you can pop your room key in a box on the wall (provided you have no outstanding bar bills etc. to settle), so we took advantage of that. Collapse

Family of five we stayed here recently. We booked a suite on the fourth floor. The suite included 2 bedrooms and two ensuites and a little sitting room kitchen combined. This made a great difference to our stay children had there own room own telly etc and we had ours. The kitchen is very handy for families with plenty of cups and plates etc and kettles microwave . Staff were friendly and I have to mention a young man named David I think who was working the floor of the restaurant for the three nights we were there he was lovely very good at his job and very helpful and great manners. Kids in fact watched out for him and we're glad when they wld see him on. So we'll done David hope I got his name right. There was also a young woman with long dark hair with glasses on as well one of the nights who was equally lovely. Hotel was very clean both the bedrooms and public areas. Pool was nice and clean too as we're changing rooms. It wld be a bonus if there was a spa but there isn't. Food was very well presented and tasty try the red Thai curry it's lovely. All in all despite galway being g a very busy place it was quiet at night no noise in hallways etc. So we'll done to all involved. Wld recommend this hotel for families and business. I wld go back again. Well done. Collapse

The staff at the front desk and in Ryan's (attached restaurant) were absolutely brilliant! We were a part of a VERY large group who had reserved more than 50 rooms. We found the hotel to be quite comfortable with firm beds, plenty of pillows, new carpet in the bedrooms, wonderful water pressure, hot showers, etc. They were quick to meet our needs, whether they were medical, needing directions, additional newspapers, power converters, and more. Really lovely people! The wi-fi in many rooms didn't work. I suspect it couldn't handle the volume of users at one time, as I could use it VERY early in the morning (around 5:00 a.m.). The wi-fi in the lobby was very strong though, so there were options. A big shout-out to Liemur J. (spelling is incorrect, - sorry!) in Ryan's restaurant that was attached. She provided kind service with a smile. She worked hard and was very pleasant. Request her service if you have a chance! Collapse
