My stay here was for work and its not the worst place that I have been in but also not the best. The rooms were kept clean and re-stocked with coffee every day which I greatly appreciated since I require coffee to start my morning. However I did not like that I could not find a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign for the door. I will always hang that sign because to be frank, I don't like the idea of people I don't know being in my room when I am not there. The rooms themselves were nothing special just your average room; bed, TV, Bathroom etc. I honestly can't think of anything good or bad to say about the room, it was just a room that I slept in. If I was to stay in it all day for more then just sleep I might have been able to find something wrong but for the limited time I spent in there it was fine. The breakfast was good always lots of food prepared and if I had a question (how long should I toast for??) I got an answer and a smile right away which at 7am can be a little hard to manage. It was also nice that they switched it up each morning. First morning I got bacon and the 2nd sausage. The eggs were prepared differently as well which I like since I don't want the exact same meal every morning. The staff was helpful if I needed anything and professional in addressing any concerns that I had, although anything I asked about was an easy answer. When I checked in she asked my first name and knew who I was and had my paperwork waiting so my check in was super fast. I was late checking in due to bad weather and coming from the airport so they must have been waiting for me. The staff was not overly friendly either which I appreciated because at many other hotels it comes across as fake, (who is THAT happy to see me at 630am??) At this hotel though I never felt as though I was annoying them in any way shape or form, but also never felt smothered by smiles and over-helpfulness. I wouldn't give this hotel a 4 rating based only on the elevator and hallways although clean they definitely need a little TLC. Everything just looks a little run down or outdated. Its fairly obvious that this hotel gets quite a bit of traffic through it and the cleaning team can only do so much before the fact that it just needs some new paint becomes obvious. Based only on my interaction with the staff though I would give it a 5 though. Consistently professional and friendly I really appreciated the service that they provided, so congrats to whoever does the hiring at the Comfort Inn, you picked some good ones :) Collapse

This is my 2nd review for this hotel, the first in 2013. My only complaint was the guests next to my room who were extremely loud at 2:30 am. Of course, calling the front desk to complain didn't quiet the neighbors much. The front desk staff was very sympathetic the next day and mentioned she'd ask the manager to call me. Surprise, he did and apologized for the other guests and offered a partial rebate for my stay. Note for people that are always too warm: currently the rooms don't have individual temperature control, but renovations have started and this should be completed in the next few months. The on-site restaurant is still excellent. Collapse

This hotel is poorly maintained. The heating and cooling controls in these rooms are LOCKED! You can't control the temperature in your own room. You are at the mercy of the hotel staff for these temperatures. My elderly parents had a space heater brought to their room in order to keep warm in mid October. The iron and ironing board should not even be there due to the fact that the iron didn't work properly and the ironing board was pretty much unusable. The bath tub/shower had no mat in the bottom so in order to have a shower you had to hang on for your life to the shower curtain or else end up on your butt. Nothing about this hotel impressed me except the Hot Tub. The reason for this was probably because I was freezing from the lack of heat in the rooms. Collapse

We found the staff to be friendly, the rooms to be an adequate and average size; with 2 queen beds at least. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. The Comfort Inn & Suites provides a decent breakfast from 7am - 10am. There's customer parking in the back for $10. Located on the corner of a busy road, but in a good location to many restaurants and businesses. 15 min walk to Rogers Place. No views. Traffic under your window. Nothing luxurious. It works and gives you somewhere to sleep at a decent price and right downtown. You get what you pay for! If I just wanted some place to stay and wasn't looking for anything fancy; we'd go back. I spent a night there to attend a concert at Rogers Place. Absolutely convenient and very clean. The room was comfortable and despite some aging of the building evident it was inn very good shape. The price was fantastic and the included breakfast was delicious with a great assortment of breads, fruit, there were cooked eggs and also bacon. Coffee and tea and the waffle maker and choice of plain or blueberry waffle batter were also great choices for breakfast. I have zero complaints. Christine and TJ, at the desk/reception area were very helpful and professional. Collapse
