From My Understanding the Niagara Fee Is optional, We asked to have it removed, we even showed him the articles from our Iphone saying we have option to remove it - however the Manager said he reused to take off the fee off! Totally Killed the Stay and our Review. Hotel was Ok - heating system is old and fan stays on during the night - probably will keep you up (the old part of the hotel) Collapse

We have stayed at this location before. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff was quite pleasant and helpful. However, this time we learned something which has made us take this location off our list for future visits. Our reason may not resonate with your readers here but it made a difference to us. We have stayed at many Comfort Inns in different locations over the years. One of the many reasons is that they have a pretty good breakfast. This location has breakfast too but their restrictions make this a much different experience from all of the others. The restrictions are that you cannot go into the restaurant area unless there is a table available and also that you cannot take your breakfast to your room. As a result, we found a very long line waiting to get in. I might mention that the breakfast area is in the basement (their first floor) and the crush of tables makes it very cramped and noisy. Not a comfortable place to eat at all. I went in and got coffee and tea in our travel cups and left. Not sure if that was OK with the staff but no-one stopped me. This experience was enough to make us decide to look for another accommodation when we return to NF. Another tip I can share is that if you are there in December, you need to know that in the area of this hotel, there is an outdoor sound and light show for the Christmas season. They bounce the light show off the high-rise hotel across the street and that's OK because the light show is really neat. What kills it is that the sound outside is extremely loud and goes on for hours in the evening. When I say loud, I mean loud. If you are in your room trying to rest, read or watch TV, this noise invades your space. It's not pleasant. It's too bad that we had these negative experiences because the room was quite nice and the bed was really comfortable. But there is too much competition in NF for us not to go somewhere else in the future. Collapse

After reading other reviews for this hotel, I did not have high expectations when I checked in for a business stay one night in November 2016. However, this hotel easily beat the low bar that I had set by being clean and reasonably quiet. The good: Off-season prices are very reasonable. My room had a queen-sized bed, sofa, chair and table for $49 Canadian per night. Everything in my room worked well and the bedding seemed new. Some rooms view the Falls, but mine looked onto the parking lot about which I had no complaints. The location was very near the Falls and Casino Niagara and only about a 20-minute walk from the other main attraction area at Clifton Hill. The breakfast was much better than other reviews made it sound. It is a free Comfort inn breakfast, after all, so don't expect Eggs Benedict! Others have also complained about the lack of seating in the breakfast room. I counted 50 seats in that room (which must be accessed with your room key) which seemed like plenty for the off-season. During the busy tourist months, however, this could be a crowded area. Finally, unlike other Niagara Falls hotels with free breakfasts, this one runs from 6:00 am to 9:00 am making it accessible for both business and tourist guests. The less-than-good: The hotel has 8 floors but only one slow elevator. My room was on the fifth floor and even though the hotel was not nearly full, it seemed like a long wait to get between my floor and the lobby. While the room rate was very affordable, expect to be nickeled and dimed by the time you get your final bill. Parking, while convenient, is $15 (plus HST) per night. A "tourism levy" (about which others have complained) of about 4% (again, plus HST) is added to the bill. (I understand that this levy is voluntary and can be removed if you ask. I have never tried this, though.) If I had not been paying such a low room rate, I probably would have been annoyed by the amount of these extra charges. Finally, when you check-in, you will be given restaurant coupons. If you can, try not to eat in this tourist area. Average restaurants and even budget-priced food chain outlets have unreasonably inflated prices. If possible, find a spot near the Queen Elizabeth highway where you should have a better chance of finding normal restaurant prices. In the end, I felt that this was a nice Comfort Inn and would stay here again. Collapse

Stayed one night after hockey game in Buffalo. This is a basic room with decent pool, and a passible breakfast included. We would stay here again given the same cercumstances. Our rating is based on amenities offered not poor service
