I had a short stay here with my 14 year old daughter.. There are quite a few rooms getting renovated and a new pool and restaurant being built and being out of season a few amenities were shut or not running (i.e. Courtesy bus) .. Which was a little disappointing but did not ruin our stay ... We were upgraded to a ground floor sea view room which was excellent but not for the immobile due to the the first 2 floors of the lift out of action because of the building work .. We stayed self catering but I would opt for the all inclusive if I was to return as I found the drinks a little pricey (€3.50 for a pint of coke) but the food was reasonable and of a good standard.. The entertainment was good although difficult to get a seat if you came in later on as it was all in the small piano bar again because it was out of season and the hotel was not at capacity.. Now I don't know if the fact the hotel was not at capacity and some of the residents were of an older age but the wifi was better than my own house in the U.K. .. This pleased my teenage daughter immensely as you can imagine but to the point she didn't want to leave the hotel ha ha The staff were very friendly and helpful.. We had an issue when we first got there with opening our apartment door which was resolved very very quickly.. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained and the service was good I would love to return here in the height of season not just because of the hotel but of the whole area as there was a lot of bars and restaurants getting renovated as well. One thing I would note is that this hotel is at the bottom of cardiac hill so to wander into town it's best to go the back way or via another hotel which you can go up in the lift and get to the top .. A handy hint given to me after we had walked up the hill Overall both myself and my daughter really enjoyed our stay here and do hope to return in the near future Collapse

What can we say.. All inclusive is NOT ALL INCLUSIVE.. Lunch time menu is the same as the evening meal.. No choice at all unless you pay extra.. But why when all inclusive... If larger groups arrive there will be preferential treatment with buffet service. Checking in took 3 hours!! Rooms ok but could be cleaned more often... Clean towels etc.. Lacking in entertainment.. Bar area near reception that's not good.. Staff very pleasant including Pedro, Francisco, Antonio Costa and Bruno... Also Isobel general help. Overall this would not be my first choice of hotel but the resort is lovely.. Good job there is local amenities available although we shouldn't of had to pay for so many meals eating out.. Breakfast lunch and evening meal. Snacks were non existent.. Good job as a group of friends we made our own entertainment.. Collapse

A place my wife and I have visited regularly every winter for many years and have enjoyed it. Situated on the beach, great views. Enjoyed it very much. This year and with new ownership things are changing. Rooms are adequate no more. Prices are being pushed higher. As a destination for a short break it is ok, for long stay it is slipping down the ratings. There is an attempt underway to turn it into a 5 star hotel complex. The back up system of customer care, good reception facilities and overall good treatment of customers and members just is not there. Something has been lost along the way. The management needs to understand that customer care is the priority not the buildings.despite this it is a pleasant spot. Sadly management is pushing people away by over pricing and shabby treatment of members. I will return again another year in hope of improvement. Reasonable place but is now too expensive and quality is not there. They can and must do better. Collapse

Well what can I say, visited Albufeira Portugal, wonderful! The hotel, advise about the Hotel, building work was ongoing as the winter is the only time to fit it in! When we arrived we were given a room on the second floor! The instructions for getting there were minimal! On attempting to find the room through locked gates that we knew nothing about I got lost, left my 75 year old husband watching the big case I set off with the small cases! A visitor to the hotel let me through one gate and showed me to the lift for the second floor, now on entering the lift pressed for second floor and up I started going, when the lift stopped it was on the third floor! Waited for the doors to open, nothing! So pressed the Second floor button again....nothing! Started shouting to no avail! Thought I would try the open door button, help the light went out and my worst nightmare came to me 3 floors up and the thought of crashing to the ground floor! So scared did not even think about using my phone! Remembered where the alarm button was s pressed it about 5 times, nobody came so stared shouting and held the alarm button in until a visitor to the hotel opened the door for me, phew what a relief! Reported to the hotel twice but no come back, did not use that lift again! Other than all tha fiasco the room and the view were great the cleaner was the nicest of people! Collapse
