Where do I start? The hotel was just great - beautiful grounds and a lovely secluded beach. The room that we had overlooked the sea and gardens and was probably one of the nicest rooms that we have stayed in on our annual visit to Albuferia. The food was to die for but we were room only but eat in the restaurant was cheap as there was 20% off all food and 50% off drinks. As it was March when we went there was quite a bit of maintenance work going on but this in know way got in the way of our holiday. Collapse

Have just returned from a week at CPO. It was a quiet period and it seems to be returning to the original ethos of a family based resort. No hen or stag parties to be seen. No drunken behaviour or late night parties.Notices in reception advising inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Reception staff were all very helpful and the maid service was exceptional. At the annual Infiniti meeting I was advised MGM had reviewed their package holiday deals and this did seem to be evidenced by the much improved ambience of the resort. A new pool and restaurant are under construction nearer to the beach. This is good news as Jac's restaurant is providing a very limited a la carte service which hopefully will be improved when the new facilities open. Nearby restaurants Vivaldo's and Wild and Co provide 20% discounts on second visits. Sad to see Malabar restaurant has closed and is up for sale. I took my daughter and her two children on this visit and was somewhat apprehensive after my last visit in 2016 which was dreadful but am pleased to report an upward swing in the resort overall. A real effort is being made to make this a family resort once again and from an Infiniti membership point of view, it is much appreciated. Collapse

Stayed here in March 2017 and I thought the hotel was great, the location was great....... Actually, it was all spot on but I wouldn't recommend going All Inclusive. You could be sat by the pool but to get a drink, you would have to walk past two bars to get to the one serving, just not convenient really. Not a lot of variety at meal times either. No such thing as snacks unless you want to use one of the vending machines. Too many options surrounding the hotel to not try sampling the food elsewhere. Like I said though, nothing at all wrong with the place and would love to come back but I would go self catering or bed and breakfast. Collapse

We stayed in a standard room which was very nice internally but unfortunately we didn't get any sun on the balcony which is probably a blessing in the height of summer but not in March when everyone else is sat on their balconies in tee shirts and bikinis and we had our jumpers on. The gardens were really lovely and are a credit to the hotel. The general staff were friendly and helpful. We did have an issue on our last day with builders in the next but one apartment, when we spoke to reception they checked with builders and told us it would be another hour before they would be finished, reception (reluctantly) offered to move us to other room but kept pointing out to us that we would be going in the morning, their manner was efficient but impersonal. I would consider returning to the hotel as location is good but would book a superior room with sea view, possibly on top floor as we had a very noisy couple above us, they returned to their room late at night/morning and started banging about but this is not the fault of the hotel its the inconsideration of a couple of holidaymakers. Hotel was nice, room overlooked gardens which were maintained well. Great location. I arrived for a 4 night stay with my mother and daughter. Slightly pricy and despite 'special offers' advertised we were charged full price on numerous occasions and had to remind bar/restaurant staff about the offers/happy hour on at least 3 occasions where we were charged full price. Further to this the hotel requests all guests to pay upfront a £100 deposit to which my mother had paid in cash. When we checked out we were not handed this back and didn't realise until we had left. he hotel acknowledges they have the money but after numerous phonecalls (at least 15) I was asked to send an email to which they would reply and attach a form to complete and that I could expect to wait up to 2 months for any return and would I not be returning in a few months so I could collect it at another time?? I still have had no email/ form or any correspondence regarding this. I feel very let down by the hotel as until now I may have recommended the chain...i'll keep everyone updated on my progress in order to hopefully amend my review. Collapse
