We were mis-sold this holiday by Thomson as the Hotel Saturno but it is very much a young family complex of 3 hotels, The Saturno being exclusive to Thomson. However as a mature couple we had an amazing week in this fab. complex which is worth a stay for the superb all inclusive deal including quality drinks and consistently excellent food. We felt that the quality of the meals was probably not appreciated by all, it would cost lots to eat to this incredible standard locally. Excellent staff, beautiful surroundings gardens ,pools all well maintained, rooms etc couldn't fault it. Would love to return with our grown up kids and grandkids. Yes, as a mature couple we waited for term time but the large number of kids never really bothered us. An incredible venue which we wish we had found a few years ago! Collapse
wish people would stop moaning!!!

The food is excellent, the hotel take grate pride in there pools if there is a accident in the water i.e a child has a accident then the hotel immediately shut the pool off and clean the pool = excellent work. yes its a little loud at times but its people all in the holiday zone and enjoying themselves. we had a great holiday and without doubt beats our 2016 holiday to terrible Tenerife!! We have just returned from Club Mac! And i was a bit worried when was reading bad reviews but people, everything was just great! Cleanliness of the hotel is good, all the time you can see someone cleaning! Food is delicious and it is plenty of choice to cater everyone! You can use all 3 restaurants in the complex, which is great! Also every day there is a theme meal( Spain,Brasil,Italy etc)Evening shows were good! Entertaining and funny! If you don't want to stay in complex after dinner or day time they provide free bus to the beach and also in the evening there is a free shuttle to the Alcudia Port! There are plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes etc! I have to say that sometimes there are queues at the bar,but there are several of them so if you just walk to another one it is not that busy! Big choice of domestic alcohol! I liked Melon Shnapps!!! Very nice! And tge fact that they do like a newspaper every day with thins that are going on is great stuff!!Only one thing i would say is that they would charge you for all extras(TV,Iron etc) also there are deposits for remotes, but i think it is done because it is a lot of kids in there and they can break something easily. Overall I enjoyed staying there and if next year i will go to Spain it probably will be Clib Mac!! Thank you very much! Collapse
Slightly above average, good if its a family break.

The wife booked this place for a weeks family holiday and after reading the trip advisor reviews I was not pleased at her choice! Anyway, its a 45minute direct coach ride from the airport so not too far. There was no queue at the hotel checkin desk, so we checked straight in, got our wrist bands and went straight into a restaurant for lunch. There are 3 hotel blocks, each with its own bar & restaurant plus numerous outside bars. They serve the same range of food in each restaurant, so if one had a queue we would just go to another and walk straight in. Jupiter block seemed the busiest. The food selection was really good and there was so much to choose from that you never was faced with something you didnt like. Even our 4 year old was happy & ate loads. Food was always warm and they refilled everything quickly. Staff were constantly cleaning & were always friendly. Usual selection of drinks avaiable at the bars, again if there was a queue at one (such as the one near the Dragon Pool), you would find zero queue at others. The lager in particular tasted awesome, miles better than ive had before in spain. There were about 5 pools, and when we were there we had no problems at all with pools being over crowded. Of course you got the usual towel on sunlounger people, but there were stacks and stacks of spare chairs & loungers so you never couldnt find one. Water in the pools varied in temperature it seemed from freezing to lukewarm, but was okay for us. The standard room was a bit small, ours had 2 double beds, which were big, but the balconey was so small it was only ideal for 2 people max. The maids were friendly and the rooms clean. We had no problems at all with door cards. If you wanted to use the tv in the room, a safe key or a hair dryer they were extras, but we knew that and didnt come on holiday to watch telly. It rained whilst we were here and so they shut the outside bars and open up the inside ones. Again, even though a huge number of people were in the jupiter indoor area we had no problems with getting drinks quickly. As with any resort, it does get noisy in the evenings. We were 1st floor jupiter, so above the bar etc but found the patio door etc on the room actually offered good sound proofing. Of course, as others have said you still can get noisey people walking down the corridoors etc. but in all fairness it didnt bother us too much. Checkout was very easy, we also found the information about our coach back to the airport easy to find etc. We checked out at 6:45am and they even had opened up the restaurant in one building early so we could fuel up ready for the trip home. As for the guests? Well I had to smile as the reviews on here summed them up perfectly. Tattooed covered chain smoking lager swilling English people with 5 kids running about etc. Personally it didnt bother us, but from the looks of some of the people I could see the potential for problems later in the evening after a hard days drinking. We didnt use the evenings entertainment, preferring to have a few drinks and retire early. But during the day if you like people watching it was great fun. We visited the lovely beach - 10mins walk. £6.50 for a sunbed. And visited the waterpark over the road - some mad slides and loads to keep the kids entertained. All in all, I think for a kids holiday it was a good place to come, loads to keep them entertained, our lad loved it. Collapse

Me and my wife (23) landed back with our little boy who is almost 2 from our first family holiday yesterday. Upon arrival at the airport it took around 1 hour and 20mins to get to Club Mac, there was 1 hotel drop before ours. There had been a rain cloud before landing and shortly after getting to club mac there was a thunderstorm. Please be advised you have to get a ticket from the reception area of Marte for check in. It took around 30 minutes to be seen too but wasn't too fussed as you appreciate it's busy. When we got to the reception we were hit with an unexpected tax charge for the three of us it was €12.40 (apparently our travel agents are supposed to inform us of this) We paid to stay in a 'premium' room which was situated on the 2nd floor of Jupiter. The room was relatively small, had 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed, it had hardly any balcony however it had a reasonable plasma TV and also had an efficient shower. Requested a travel cot through agents which was not supplied by hotel but we didn't request one once there as we had brought our own travel cot (wanted to ensure our toddler slept in a clean bed) The room is suffice for getting ready and some rest (not big enough if your couped up in the room due to adverse weather which we unfortunately endured for our last 2 days. However for the rest of our time there it's was big enough for what we needed. On the grounds of the hotel there is a park, mini golf course, 6 pools ( 2 of which are baby) small amusement games located in each of the 3 hotels onsite and 2 entertainment areas (circus & saturno) Entertainment for us started too late in the evening our little one got restless and wouldn't sleep so cant comment on how the evening entertainment was because we took him to bed every night before it started which was around 9pm. Which was a shame. Everyone waits to read what the food is like and to be honest it's not great...eatable but that's as far as I would go with it. You pay for what you get I suppose, 3* all inclusive is never going to be Michelin star food but you expect flavour which majority of the food lacked. Kids choice was the same or there bouts every night (smileys, chips, sausage, beans etc) so you can rest assure the kids will be fine with the food. There is the usual array for fruit, deserts on offer and they have fruit juice machines located to quench your thirst. During lunch there is a burger bar by the lake which serves chips, nuggets and burgers to keep you ticking over to dinner (the restaurants are also open during lunch but we just had the burger bar' **Note** Britannia Bar / Malones Gym literally 2 min walk outside hotel ( Turn right out of hotel and right again, it is on your left) great food, had the chilli jacket on 3 occasions and chicken madras twice. Staying at club mac gives you inclusive access to the Hidropark over the road. I must say we had a great time of several occasions and you can come and go as you please. When you first walk through you are asked to do a family/group photo with your 'party' we chose to buy them price is €8 for 1, €12 for 2, €18 for 3 **Note** Food and drink is not included via hotel and must be paid separately which is fine. Reasonably priced but as stated before if your gonna eat out go the Britannia bar. Sun beds are also an additional charge €4.50 a bed. Lockers are also chargeable but didn't use so don't know the price. The beach is a nice 15 minute walk from hotel. Nice white sand, little seaweed but pleasant enough. A KFC, Burger King and Lidl are along the route if you fancy. The hotel has a shop outside Marte, the first 2 days we used this as we hadn't ventured out of the grounds as we enjoyed the amenities the hotel had to offer however when we went into the Spar (again a 2 min walk from hotel) we soon realised we were paying over the odds so moral of the story is use Spar. Overall we had great 4-5 days but the weather on the last 2 days put a dampening on it (no pun intended) My wife and I agreed that when the weather is nice there is loads to do but should the weather take a turn for the worst you will struggle to find anything to keep you going. Won't be coming back to club mac but it wasn't because of a bad experience. Final note which I was impressed by was the cleanliness. Considering the sheer volume of numbers there was always someone cleaning well done cleaning team. I hope anyone reading this finds it a true reflection. Collapse
