My family of 3 have just spent a week here with friends (another family of 3)and overall had a lovely time although we did have some minor problems the hotel has just re-opened after changing hands and I am confident that those problems will be sorted out. Pools were lovely not sure if they were heated but once you were in it wasn't too cold. Plenty of sun loungers available but hotel was not full. My daughter loved the splash pool and the play area and I loved the zen pool my husband loved the gym. We didn't join in any sport while there as I didn't take any trainers but lots of sports activities available like tennis, basketball, spinning, Bowles, football and lots more. We did not try the trapeze was not brave enough but children were joining in and put us to shame. Our room was very nice with a walk in rainfall shower which I loved but we had ants and the bed was 2 singles pushed together although very comfortable they moved apart too easily falling down the middle we did ask to be moved and the night staff on reception reluctantly showed us another room after repeating "come back tomorrow" but I did not like the lower ground rooms which was personal choice not the fault of the hotel so we decided to stay in original room and the day staff on reception put a big mattress topper on our bed to stop falling down the middle. The TV only seem to have news in English nothing for my daughter to watch luckily we had an iPad with us for the short time we were in the room. The bottle of water in the fridge was a nice touch and we were away from the noise except when children were running up and down the corridor at night which was not the hotels fault. The service of the staff is better than anywhere I have stayed very helpful and friendly and they work very hard. We would like to thank the restaurant staff but the ones that really stood out for excellent service were Sebas and Leila so thank you for everything you did for us at meal times. Also thank you to Asma on reception on helping us with a few problems we had which she resolved quickly. I became unwell on my stay which again nothin to do with hotel but staff assisted with taxi to nearest pharmacy and offered to call doctor but I did not think it was necessary. Would like to mention the waiters and staff around the pool and cleaners for our room as the hotel and grounds were immaculate with beautiful gardens they all work so hard. We would also like to thank the animation team especially ilham and Mohammed (the student) and Rasta man for going out of their way to make us feel included as most of the entertainment was in French so my daughter was not Comfortable joining in as she didn't understand. This was our main disappointment in the hotel we did not realise when booking that it was solely for the French. The entertainment in the evening was hit and miss but that might be due to hotel not being full. We did notice when the hotel had a higher number of guest at the weekend the entertainment was excellent and the food was slightly better as the food was getting repetitive i.e same at lunch and dinner although a high standard they did have a problem with flies. The drinks were good we liked the cocktails and we loved the sparkling wine at dinner and sitting outside had a better ambiance than the restaurant as inside was too much like a canteen had no colour or atmosphere. Would love to see twinkle lights in the trees in the outdoor restaurant that would make it very romantic. We did have one rude member of staff take my daughters dinner away as we sat in the wrong area but we were waiting for our friends and as my daughter was under the weather we were trying to encourage her to eat but I did not catch his name it was in the outdoor bar area (attached to the outdoor eating area) so made no sense to us. Overall we had a very nice stay here and would love to return in the future thank you for a lovely holiday Collapse

We booked this last minute (the day before flying) for a quick weekend away in the sun. We weren't disappointed. Within 5 hours of leaving Bristol we were sat in 25 degree heat. Welcome at reception was excellent and room was lovely. As we arrived late sandwiches were put aside in the restaurant which was a lovely touch. Facilities at the hotel were excellent with staff extremely friendly and going out of their way to help and keeping everything spotlessly clean. Food was excellent-make sure you reserve the Moroccan restaurant whilst you are there. Only thing that stopped this having an excellent review was an unfortunate problem with the room with the air conditioning unit leaking excessively and flooding the tiled floor. Whilst we appreciate problems occur it was dangerous and at 1am I visited reception to advise them of the problem The maintenance guy did everything he could but could not fix the problem. The night Manager unfortunately didn't see it as being a problem shrugging his shoulders and showing me to a dirty room which we could have. What made him think we would sleep in someone else's dirty sheets! We stayed put and put lots of towels on the floor until the morning. The day time reception team were brilliant in finding us another room immediately. So sorry Iberostar with your night Manager having a different attitude with regard to customer service you would definitely had excellent. All in all a fantastic short break and we will be back. I wish there were 10 stars to give to this hotel!!! The hotel has been refurbished around 8 months ago so everything is brand new. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful and you can see how they are very well managed and they truly want to make sure no customer is left unhappy. They pay incredible attention to cleanliness!! As I was going for breakfast one morning, I saw the manager asking one of the staff to clean the floor again because there was a small line made by someone's suitcase. At the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet, there are staff who literally clean all the surfaces as the guests help themselves to the food if there are any drops of sauces or any spots. One morning I was by the pool quite early and I saw the manager taking photos of the pool because there were a few tiny tiles missing in the pool. The gardens all around the hotel are just beautiful. There are 3 pools, one is a splash pool for children, the main pool is usually packed with kids off all ages, and there is another pool which has a bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, which is a quieter. There is a food truck by the main pool where snacks, sandwiches, burgers, pancakes and waffles are served all day long. The staff are so polite, they greet everyone even when they just pass by you! The hotel is around 20min away from the city centre but there is a free shuttle bus that goes to the city and stops around 10-15min walk away from the souq and the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa and the big market. The timings of the bus are not very often but actually quite convenient. The taxi drivers from the airport might not know the name of the hotel as it has been refurbished and given a somewhat different name so note down the hotel's phone number or even better, the old name of the hotel (Eldorador Palmeraie). I can't praise this hotel enough, I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the looks of the hotel, the rooms, the gardens, the pools, the staff, everything was extraordinary!!!! The food was very good, especially the sweets and the moroccan food! Collapse

Our family of three spent three nights here in April, as a base to explore the wonders of Marrakech as well as the surrounding attractions. We have only positive impressions of the friendly and professional reception staff, well kept grounds (always seemed to be multiple workers keeping things clean), pools, numerous activities, relaxing outdoor dining facilities, as well as the food (excellent quality and variety). The only detraction was the high sound level of the musical entertainer who performed in the courtyard until 11 PM, somewhat disturbing early sleepers. I strongly urge you to consider this all-inclusive resort if you need a retreat from the hustle & bustle that is Marrakech. Collapse

Grounds are he impeccably kept, absolutely stunning, pools are both huge with no problem getting a lounger at anytime, animation team will leave you be if you don't want to participate. Food was almost complete tasteless but for the price you pay (peanuts) and all inclusive there has to be some give somewhere! Although as a foodie I wouldn't visit again, I would recommend if you are ok eating tasteless pizza but also to relax in the beautiful morrocan sun, top up your tan and drink (surprisingly tasty) all inclusive beer! French predominantly spoken but it's not the end of the world, you just have to make a little effort to extend your GCSE French. Collapse
