Just back from a week here and loved it. Was a bit apprehensive after reading some bad reviews but cannot fault it. Yes it's not 5 star luxury, but you're not paying 5 star luxury prices. For the price it is excellent value. The room was basic but clean and thats all I expect as it's not somewhere you spend much time, just a place to sleep, shower and get dressed. the main pool is HUGE with plenty sunbeds. It was never crowded and never a problem getting a lounger. Gardens are very nice and the Zen pool is a good size too if you just want peace & quiet. The food was varied but you would never starve, there was always enough choice to suit most unless you're a particularly fussy eater!! The bar and restaurant staff were all very friendly . Finally the Animation team - those guys really earn their money, they don't stop! They were all really friendly and even though they didn't have many takers for a lot of their activities (we just wanted to lie in the sun and relax) that never dampened their spirits or enthusiasm. Keep smiling boys and girls. I would recommend this hotel and I'd definitely go back. Collapse

For the price, this is a very good hotel. We stayed here for two weeks. The setting and especially the gardens are great. Rooms are simple and clean, but how often are you gonna be there anyway? I'm happy with a good shower and a bed with clean sheets, and we got that :) Again, the gardens are great and they make this place just a bit better than others. You can do all dinner shifts outside and that is my pet peeve for hot countries, i dont like to be locked up in some silly dining area inside as i get enough of that at home.So kudo's there ^^ The animation team is friendly but easy to avoid. The Zen Pool has no animation and a good bar so you can be there in peace all day, we loved that!.And we werent really forced to do karaoke at night :P The shuttle bus to Marrakech is free and very reliable (20 minute ride) and drops you off on Liberty square, about a 20 min walk to the Jamaa El Fna square. If you tip the driver he might drop you off on Jamaa el Fna, but you'll have to go back to Liberty on your way back . We really did like the food, especially the tajines, as we dont go abroad to eat fries and pizza's. Gotta admit their pizza's are really good though ^^ But no complaints at all about the food, apart from the fact i gained 3kg in 2 weeks.>< Tipping works well, ofc, and after a week we had our table and our winecooler set when we arrived. Doesnt take much. All in all a good, nice looking resort that defo offers value for money. We both speak french, but the personal seems obsessed with speaking english. We appreciate your efforts, but felt less appreciated when we practised our french. Its not that bad! All in good spirits tho, we had a great holiday :) Collapse

Stayed at this hotel for the first 10 days of August with my husband and ten year old daughter . We paid £1600 , first all the hotel is nice does need a bit of TLC , the rooms are clean and spacious and the air con in our room was excellent , the staff are very helpful and do speak English however the reviews are right about the fact the hotel is aimed at their French customers with all entertainment in French and most of the guests are French . The entertainment team are brilliant and yes they do speak English and try their best to involve everyone , all the music is English so you can still get whats going on . We had a different show every night and kids disco , we had a pool party one night which was fantastic . The hotel has a lovely pool which has a shallow end you can sit in , which is lovely in the heat also sun beds are plenty but need to be reserved fairly early . The food at the hotel is not to everyones taste but there is plenty of it and a good variety lots of Moroccan and English food , they even had a go at a sunday roast whilst we were there which was very nice . Theres snacks and candy floss throughout the day for the kids . The kids club , the staff are lovely but the club itself is a bit dingy and its all in French . Going out from this hotel I would advise a taxi its quite away to the market , go at night its way too hot especially for the kids during day . So all in all the hotel is nice , food good , entertainment good and staff good . However like i said hotel is mainly French and luckily we met two other English families thank goodness otherwise my daughter would have struggled to make friends and a unhappy child is a unhappy holiday for everyone . My only complaint really about the hotel is the WASPS , oh my its awful you are swarmed every day , you cannot bring a drink back from the bar to the pool as within five minutes you will have a least ten wasps around you , the amount of people and poor kids that got stung was terrible . The barmens hands are completely covered in stings . For the price we paid for this holiday it was well worth the money but would I go back again , im afraid not only because I personally would prefer a hotel that catered a bit more for English but the main reason is the WASPS . Salaam-Alaikum to you all. Wow, what a great two weeks and thanks to all of the staff and also the guests - you know who you are. Let's start with the animation team: Hossein - Lets shimmy Moroccan style Nezar - 'It is Jawaaaaaaaaad' Abdul - 'Are you all right Abdul?' 'Yeeeeeees' Rashid - the diving penguin Salem - 'Jawad, come and play water polo' Mido - Half a job (only JOKING - He went on holiday for the second week) Ssamadi - Un, Deux, Trois, Quatre, Cinq, Six, Sept, Huit, Neuf, Dix, Un, deux........ Mimi - Thank you for the dance Marianne - Thank you for the dance Lila - Thank you for the dance I didn't catch the name of one man (the silent impressionist in one of the acts with audience participation). He was excellent all the same. The whole team were great from start to finish. Everyone would talk to you around the pool, encourage you to participate but didn't ever push it. Some resorts don't take no for an answer but this team quickly work out whos who. They even socialised at meal times and joined us on four occasions with our evening meal. Hats off to them all for working very long days and evenings. They are the best animation team I have seen with great evening entertainment. I think that it is the personal interaction that they all do that make them special. They clearly stand out from other hotel resorts where perhaps only a few take time out to talk with you.. I have to give a special thank you to Hossein for teaching me to dance Moroccan style and for also giving me a Moroccan shirt. All of the bar staff were very friendly and polite and soon get to know you. I have seem some negative reviews about the resturant but I can honestly say that they were all awesome. Some speak English, some don't but thay are all friendly. The restaurant has a good variety of food from Moroccan, stir fries, pizza and pasta, meat, vegetables and salad. I am not a 'pudding' person but the rest of my family are and they 'stuffed' themselves rotten so it must have been nice. At every meal we had a bottle of water and asked if the children wanted soft drinks. In the evening we always had a bottle of wine. I couldn't fault the self-service restaurant. We also booked into the Moroccan restaurant on two occasions and has two excellent Italian meals. Some staff do speak more English than others but this didn't prevent us from wanting anything. We knew this before we came here but, again, it didn't give us any issues. The only thing that could be improved upon is the WiFi. In the first week it was hit and miss (probably due to the number of guests) and I could only connect in reception when there were othe connection points throughout the site but, for some reason, wouldn't connect. This was only a small issue as it's sometimes nice not to be in contact when on our 'jollies'. There was a sewage smell near to the entrance of the block looking onto the gardens but this was only in a small area. Shukran all and in the words of Nezar - 'See you later alligator' (same time next year). We will be coming back in 20017. Gary (aka Jawad) p.s I even learnt a couple of Arabic phrases. Did you spot them? Collapse
