Chateau? Really? Maybe Dracula's!! This building is so old and it requires an investition of millions in order to be able to call itself "chateau". Right now ,it is a very faded and dated building with zero facilities. Bathroom: there is no curtain in shower so if you take a shower you will have to clean the floor after..I had to clean all my cosmetics also which were wetted. The closet was a real joke ,it has no depth so it was possible to hang in only 2 hangers. There is no minibar in room ,also no safe. All the furnishing are old and the whole room has a sort of dump smell. And the worst with our room: it is on the first floor (room 103) and above the lobby and the bar of the hotel. At the time we were there ,a large group of clients arrived ,they were organized in a sort of group and were celebrating something. At 6 o'clock in the afternoon ,loud music started to be played at the bar making the stay in our room impossible, This bunch of people got drunk later and made a terrible noise until 12 o'clock in the night. All our efforts to explain them that we want to rest were in vane ...no attitude from the hotel side. I suppose that hotel was happy that they "consume" a lot of alcool! We were lucky that they left the hotel after one day... About the hotel: is in a desperate need of a renovation and refurbishing. Collapse

We have just returned from our 2nd stay this year. Reading reviews some are mixed and I feel this time to say we have stayed here over the years. The Chateau has a certain charm about it. Yes shabby chic would best describe all the rooms we have stayed in. All fermette room which are deluxe being away from the chateau itself (but umbrellas are provided for short walk to chateau) the 6 hecters of grounds including the wood are very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms themselves are large except for 23 which has patio doors but still comfortable. Tiled floors which can appear cold in the winter but slippers and robes are provided. Beds are comfortable and cleanliness is excellent as is the hot water, heating and toiletries which is from a wall dispenser but good quality. Q tips and various ladies requirements all provided in the bathroom. As in France tea making facilities are not in the room and that is the only minus. The restaurant is only open in the evening and restrictive menus but always good quality ingredients and well cooked. The wine menus is excellent but very expensive. Breakfast has improved over the last few years and hot and cold is available. Again basic but quality ingredients. The reception staff are both welcoming and helpful. In conclusion if you like oldie worldly charm and a relaxing couple of nights coupled with a good deal then this is really good value. Collapse

Hotel lies in a small village near Boulogne sur mer. It is easy to find even without gps. On main roads you find already indicators. The chateau hotel lies in a huge park. There are several parking areas on the territory: one in front of the main building ,and two other ones right near the cottage buildings. Reception is in the main building. Staff is very polite and welcoming. We had a room in one of the cottages , room was shown by the receptionist. There are no elevators ,but I think this is not a problem becavuse recetionist helped us with the luggage. Room was very big, and although lying in the cottage, you felt as being in a castle because the furniture was same classy stile as in main building. There were huge rooms facing garden, very quiet. Bathroom had bath and seperate shower. Bathroom was also very spacious. There was seperate toilet. There was no airco, free water bottles, free wifi which didn' t work thar day due to server problem. This was for me not a big problem , because on such a quiet place you are not in search to answer emails ... Breakfast was in the restaurant main building. Rather basic, but nice athmosphere. Dinner was in the same restaurant. Preset menu at good price quality.Attentive staff and fast service. Good hotel for relaxing Weekend or stop over or just for visiting Boulogne sur mer. Collapse
