Chateau Clery is an ideal hotel if you are on the way to or from the tunnel. It is very convenient and only about thirty minutes away. This is an attractive building in extensive grounds and it has been updated in a very sensitive way. Our room in the old stable block was excellent, beautifully decorated with a very good ensuite. We ate in the Chateau and the standard of our meal and the service was first rate. As to be expected the wine list was extensive and should satisfy both the expert and novice alike. We would thoroughly recommend Chateau Clery especially for an extra special weekend retreat. It is perfect for a relaxing and restful break. Collapse

Took advantage of an offer from Eurotunnel to stay overnight at this delightful place. The reception was welcoming and friendly. The room on ground level in one of the annexes generous, quiet, with direct access into the park was generously large and spotless clean. The bathroom separated from the toilet was an appreciated asset. The communal rooms in the main building, bar and salon looked inviting and comfortable. Dinner as well as breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking the park. Dinner was excellent, service impeccable by a friendly waitress. Breakfast could be improved, fresh fruit and a larger selection of charcuterie would be appreciated. Collapse

If you ever feel the need to have a relaxing weekend or week , far from the madding crowd , this place will suit you fine. A fine mansion, placed in the middle of a green garden full of trees and flowers , with only the sound of little birds. If you want to feel like the Lord of the Castle, then do ask for one of the somptuous rooms in the castle itself, but if you're not really up to take the stairs every night, better choose for one of the nice cottage rooms alongside. The meals can be taken with a nice view on the gardens in the conservatory and will certainly be to your liking. In the morning the breakfast gives you everything to start the day healthy and satisfied. In the evening you can have a gastronomic treat and then retire to the bar or the cosy salon for a lovely cup of coffee or tea or maybe one of the excellent single malts... And yet we left all this behind every day to explore the villages nearby and we were not disappointed : Le Touquet, Etaples, Montreuil-sur-Mer , Hardelot Plage, Wimereux, Boulogne. These are all lovely places to enjoy the Plage, the Sea, the Belle Epoque houses... I recommend especially Montreuil with its walks on the remparts and two very lovely Tearooms where the patisserie is delicious! In Boulogne you have Nausicaa to look forward to as wel as an interesting walk on the walls of the city. Plenty of History around , especially if you want to know about Napoleon. Even in your Chateau! Collapse

We booked on a special offer via Eurotunnel. The room was very nice - lots of space as it ran from front to back of the chateau. Little odd to find a two halves bathroom, with the wash hand basin not in the same part as the toilet, but it was OK. Good TV in room, and a nice touch to have bottles of water beside the bed. Dinner was superb, although we were, of course, on the cheapest set menu, all the courses were very good and beautifully cooked, served in the pretty conservatory setting. The gardens looked lovely, but adverse weather meant we did not have the opportunity to enjoy them. Breakfast was excellent, and far better than the usual French breakfast we had expected. Full marks for this off-season opportunity. Collapse

After spending 1 night in Chateau Tilques (also form the Najeti group) I was a bit doubtful, but this doubt was very misplaced. It is a lovely old chateau (with all the ups and downs of an old chateau of course), and the staff was really friendly (we had bad luck with the weather, so it rained 3/3 days, but the receptionist kept an eye on us to open the door every time we entered the main building. Our room was in the fermettes (new part) alongside the chateau, and it was spacious, very clean and with all the comfort one needs for 2 nights. Only minor: it was very cold (and I mean really cold) in the hallway, so if you put on the heating in your room, it is like jumping into the sea in winter when you got in the corridor. We left our room at 11.30 in the morning, and when we returned the room hasn't been cleaned (propbably because we left so late), this was a small disappointment, but just a small one. It disappeared when we went to the restaurant: dinner was unbelievably good, and most of the staff was very friendly and helpful (except for that older lady, wow, she looked like she just murdered Bambi) and the atmosphere was just like it should be in a castle. The bar was cosy and the pina colada tasted like summer, super! The park around the castle was a bit messy, but our visit was in February, so I think that is normal... Anyway, hope my review was helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We have found a replacement for chateau Tilques: Chateau Clery! Collapse
