First I will start with the positive: the hotel looks nice. It looked clean. It's pretty for a non fancy schmancy hotel. There's a pool and a water play area for children. There is a relaxing seating area outside. There is a security guard when you first drive in and you have to put a parking pass on your dashboard. There is a restaurant grill, buffet & a store that sells some food items along with gifts. The Disney gifts are reasonably priced including the clothing. Unfortunately there is no mirror or fitting room and they sell a whole bunch of different types of Disney shirts. The staff in the store was very friendly. In the room, there is a microwave and mini-fridge ( the thermostat was not working in our fridge). On to the negative: the beds were very Lumpy, the air conditioning in the room did not turn on very often so it was warm. It was colder outside than it was in the room. We paid $9 a person for the breakfast buffet. The only decent thing on it was the Mickey Mouse head waffles. The timer to not work on all of the waffle making machines. The orange juice just tasted funky and the coffee had a ton of grounds in it even when I got a fresh cup from an employee working in that restaurant. If you have the choice, do not stay in a room that faces the highway. You hear the noise from the highway all night long and it's hard to sleep. Bring earplugs just in case as long as you could still hear your alarm in the morning. Also, one of the white towels on the bathroom had a mysterious yellow stain on it. I threw it on the floor so no one accidentally used it. Collapse

The staff was extremely friendly! From the guard post when I arrived, the people showing us where to pull up and park to the front desk staff. There was a young lady in glasses at the desk when we checked in helping a rude customer while I waited in line and being in the hotel industry, I know how hard it is to deal with some people and I thought she did a VERY good job keeping her cool and handling the situation to the best of her abilities. Very large area but easy to navigate. Pool and playground looked like fun but didn't have a chance to go in. Bed was SO comfy! I didn't want to get up. So much was great at this hotel and I definitely will be back on my next trip to Orlando. Only negative was that there was no DND sign in the room and housekeeping knocked on our door a little after 8 in the morning even though I had requested a late check out. Collapse

Visited with my two daughters, 13&9, in July 2016, when the hotel was extremely busy. Room size is good, two double beds for the three of us, but everything about the hotel is jaded and outdated, noisy air-con which you absolutely needed 24/7 in July. Convenient having a microwave and fridge in room, but bizarre having it in the bathroom?! Free safe, convenient mini-market at reception, but the buffet at breakfast was like feeding time at the zoo, food all over the floor, often out of drinks & food, and not a place to linger, but this was more due to the clientèle than the staff being at fault. Convenient for Disney, but not for Universal, & the free shuttle to Universal only runs once a day, and was usually full in July, very annoying, as no way to pre-book. Part of a cheap package holiday for us, so good value, but I wouldn't book the hotel again by choice. Collapse

We booked a very late deal for our first visit to Florida and stayed here for two weeks with a toddler. The good points The location of the hotel is very good with easy access to all major attractions. The lynx bus stop (route 50) stops directly outside the hotel and is good for getting to the Disney transport centre, down town Disney and seaworld. There are several restaurants within walking distance including a Brazilian steak house, TGI Friday's, IHOP, Dennys, Angus Steak House - all of which offered good food at reasonable prices (the Brazilian was quite expensive). The grounds of the hotel are well kept and it does almost have a "resort" feel to it with water features, nice greenery, outdoor seating etc However the hotel does have several negatives that I feel need to be improved to offer good value for money. The rooms are very dated and run down. It is obvious that some of the fittings and fixtures have been installed for along time. The bathrooms in particular need updating (when we first checked in our bathroom was flooded form a faulty toilet valve - although fixed quickly). The rooms are accessed via an external walkway which means that security is of a concern particularly with the standard of finish of the doors (our lock was not fixed properly and there was an half inch gap beneath the door). The rooms have an air conditioning unit however these are very noisy and dated. In the two weeks that we stayed we had to request our room be cleaned and fresh towels provided no fewer than 4 times which is not really acceptable. We didn't eat in the hotel as there is too much choice outside at reasonable prices. We did have several drinks from the on site bar and the service was slow. We were on the inner side of the hotel facing the car park. The noise to the rear of the hotel form the interstate was very loud. The complementary transport is very poor. There is no form of queue and when the buses arrive its every man for them self which was very frustrating. My advice would be to use the lynx 50 across the road which IIRC was $2 each way. There was a lot of construction going on to the car park which looked as though it was being re-surfaced. Overall the hotel did not stop us from having a fantastic holiday. With some updating of the interiors and sound proofing from the interstate (possibly glaze the external walkways) I think it could be a good hotel. I would suggest only staying here if you get a really good price and do not plan on using the facilities much. Collapse

I stayed at Clarion Inn for 10 days in January 2016 with family and friends. We were visiting Walt Disney World and the hotel's location was perfect. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful when we asked to store our luggage for a few hours (the only detail I'd like to point is that this service was kind of "self service", you enter in a room, put your bags and pick them up later). Rooms were cleaned everyday. I'd definitely recommend and stay there again. Collapse
