Citadines Part Dieu Lyon Non Refundable
(Lyon) 3 3 Star:
Per Person Per Night
Apart’hotel Citadines Part-Dieu Lyon is your gateway to one of France’s most vibrant cities, with a rich and unique architectural, cultural, culinary and industrial heritage. This heritage has been nourished by the numerous pages of history that have been written there, from ancient Roman times, through the Renaissance, right up to the present day. Explore Old Town, the Fourvière hill and the Presqu’île peninsula. Enjoy a gourmet regional fare at one of the city’s famous traditional restaurants, known as bouchons. In the Croix-Rousse district, follow in the footsteps of the Canuts, the silk weavers whose revolts influenced the major trends in social thought in 19th century France.
Whether for a one or two-person stay in a studio, or in serviced apartments for three or four, complete with a separate bedroom and living room, all our accommodation is fully equipped. Enjoy such practical modern comforts as a separate kitchen area, flat screen TV or complimentary high-speed Internet access. To personalise your stay even further, choose from a list of à la carte services such as private car park, laundry, housekeeping on request and breakfast.
Lyon’s historic Old Town and Presqu’île area are just a few minutes’ walk away. Lose yourself in the maze of little streets and traboules (covered passageways) in Old Town and the Presqu’île area. Fourvière basilica towers over the city on Fourvière hill. Treat yourself to a gastronomic break in one of the typical bouchons in the Saint-Jean district in Old Town. There you will also find the Gadagne house, one of the most beautiful Renaissance structures in France and now a museum of the history of Lyon. Lyon has no shortage of museums. In addition to its fine arts museum, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Maison des Canuts silk production and weaving museum. If you’re in the mood for shopping, head for the streets around Place Bellecour, the main square. When dusk falls, choose between a performance at the Opera House or the Célestins Theatre.

Perfect location near train station, metros, buses, trams etc. Easy access for airport. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Safe and quiet even though so central. Fantastic service and clean rooms made for a lovely stay. Also enjoyed having a dishwasher! Bring your own paper filters for making coffee as they are not provided! Also bear in mind that the sofa bed in the studio rooms DOES NOT fold out into a double bed but into two single beds with a gap between them! Collapse

We stayed at this hotel one night, we were 3 adults and a teenager, we booked an apartment with two floors, floor one had a couch that opens up to a bed, floor two was great, it had a regular bed. The water in the shower didn't go down well but overall it's pretty good hotel. Breakfast costs 10 euros each person, it has bread, jam, cheese, ham, coffee tea and cerals. The hotel is about 20 minutes walking to palce bellacour (city center) very beautiful, and about 15 minutes walking to the train station. Collapse

If you need to stay short or long time in a place well localized and fell as at home, to cook, stay there, choose Citadines. no problem during 1 month I've stayed there. Internet worked well, cleaning too. I stayed in room 783 that is bigger (others are too but this is better if you need to say long time). I stayed with my wife and son and the unique concern is that the Toillete is in the grow floor and the room in 2nd (duplex), so pay a attention with the ledders, at night you can have problems.... We stayed here mid September in a one bedroom suite. I was a bit worried reading other travellers reviews about the heat and there being no air conditioning. However, the temperature was near perfect during our stay and the hotel staff were quite accommodating and were able to give us a small fan when we asked. We were given a room on the main floor of the building. Walking down the hallway to the room it smelled a bit of smoke, but our room itself was completely fresh and no trace of smoke. The windows and blinds/shutters were an absolute mystery to us as we have never seen them before. With the shutters (metal) completely down, it was very dark in the room, I just assumed we would need to use the lights indoors to see all the time. However, once we figured out that you can draw the shutters by a lightswitch type near the door, and were able to have daylight and then figured out how to open the windows, it was great. No real instructions on how to operate these things but I guess they assume you are familiar with such, as we began to notice the same type of shutters on many buildings after that. The room was very spacious had very tall ceilings and large windows which swung open completely like a door. This was lovely but it would have been nicer had we been on a higher floor, as we were not comfortable leaving the windows open at night or when we left, which would have been nice to do and let the air flow through all the time. However, being on the main floor, if the windows are open, the sidewalk and a pedestrian street are right outside, which means people are walking right beside the windows and could easily hop in if they wanted. I had asked the reception about possibly changing rooms to get on a higher level due to the security concerns , but they could only do it 2 days later (we were there for 4 days) and after reevaluating we did not think it was worth it to pack up all our things and move it after 2 days and then again upon check out. But the staff were very helpful in trying to accommodate our requests and really did all they could do. We did discover the windows opened a second way where you can tilt them so open only at the top and sealed at the bottom, which was much more comfortable for us and typically how we left them. The bed and couch (which is a sofa bed) were very comfortable. Bathroom lovely. Safe in the room which was good for us. The apartment style was very nice for us as it allows you to bring food home to prepare instead of eating every meal out. It even had a washer/dryer. The hotel had breakfast, for a price, but it's not worth it. It's so much easier, cheaper, and better to grab something from the close radius around the hotel. The coffee and hot chocolate are complimentary though! There is a fantastic bakery just on the corner if you turn left as you exit the hotel (it's signage is all pink) and has everything you could want (pastries, cakes, breads, sandwiches), and there is also Paul Bocusse food hall (basically an indoor food market) right across the street from that bakery, where you can find everything you need to fix yourself any meal of the day. We went there every morning we were there. Plenty of other great food spots around, close to many bus stops and the metro. It was extremely convenient for us to make it to anywhere else in the city. It also seemed safe at nights which was important. The hotel is right across from a school and children's playground. Some other reviewers commented about the noise from the street and the playground, but we didn't notice it much, even with the windows open. The staff are friendly enough and most spoke english well, and if not, they did try to assist the best they could. Excellent amenities, and fabulous location. I would definitely stay here again!
