Reception clerk Nicholas was especially welcoming and the staff in the dining room are pleasant and courteous , the location is very close to Paddington Station, walking distance to Lancaster Gate Station and lots of bus stops to various locations in the city. Lots of restaurants around, a green park opposite the hotel, a quiet environment. Breakfast was Fair but monotonous The room was relatively small and we were moved to a triple room that was more spacious and improved the quality of stay in the hotel. The rooms are outdated. The flow of water on the upper floors is weak and the internet is weak On our next visit to London we will go back there again Collapse

I think this is the first time I have really not been happy with a hotel. I booked a single room which was ok but tired, the ensuite shower was ridiculously small. I didn't take a shower until the morning but was disgusted at the state of the shower. Furthermore, there was no hairdryer in room as stated and I had to go down to reception to ask for one. Room was stuffy (and the window had been left open before I arrived!) Breakfast was edible but not great (though the young girls serving were very sweet). Location was great (why I chose hotel) but though staff weren't unfriendly they were also not particularly friendly or helpful either. Won't stay here again. First time I have also stayed in a hotel that doesn't have a smoke alarm in the room too. Collapse

Had 2 pieces of dried human feces on the balcony which is our only source of breeze. 3. Very slow and small elevator 4. Very old 5. Have to go though 1 door to get to 2 separate rooms 6. The room I had, had a platform upon exiting the room. 7. The guy on the front desk was not friendly. didn't even help out with our luggage. 8. Can't say that it's clean in general. Collapse

This is a hotel that is sufficient for a short stay in London. The rooms are small as expected in budget hotels in London but the most difficult part was during our stay London was surprisingly warm and the rooms became very stuffy. Our family was given two rooms, one on the first and the other on the third floor overlooking Norfolk gardens. The one on the first floor given to us was by the managers statement, the largest in the house and was decently spaced for two people, though all rooms have only single beds and no double beds. The room on d first floor had French windows which could be opened and so the ventilation was better. The room on the third could only have one fourth of the huge window opened and got very stuffy. We were provided fans but only on day 2 as they did not have enough on day 1 to go around all the rooms. This is a problem because the rooms being so small can get very suffocating. The hotel therefore must ensure that they are able to provide fans to all d rooms that require it at times of need, without exception. Otherwise the rooms were neat and the cleaning everyday was always impeccable. The bathrooms had a new clean look. In fact I would actually give a 4/5 for the bathrooms despite being a very average hotel on the whole. Breakfast gives you two options - English and continental. It is not a buffet. You are served a portion on a plate and it is not clear if u can ask for more - it doesn't seem that way. So for people who start their day with a good wholesome breakfast, this is not d best option for a starter meal! I would suggest the hotel improves on d breakfast options. D reception staff are average at best in the way they handle guests and you don't feel too inclined to take their help on matters. The strength of this hotel is it's location. It's in the heart of Paddington, with a lot of options for food and some shopping. So if all you are looking for is a place to crash, this is a decently priced hotel I would recommend with a warning that it gets stuffy on hot days without a fan. But if you are looking for a hotel that is comfortable and spacious and an enriching experience this is not your cup of tea. For my next trip to London, I'd definitely give this hotel a miss. I booked this hotel last minute after having a problem with the original hotel that I booked (which clearly was not a hotel!!!) I checked in five minutes after booking online (the length of the walk from the prev. Hotel to this one). The room had a comfortable double bed and an en-suite shower room. There was a desk with tea and coffee making facilities. The room was very very stuffy with no air - conditioning. However, with the window open, it soon cooled down to a more comfortable temperature. Breakfast was included and although it was cold, it was tasty. However I was not made aware of any options for breakfast other than a full English which consisted of one egg, one piece of bacon, one sausage and some beans. There was good coffee though and I could see some cereals on offer at the end of the room. Everything was fine with the hotel. It was very conveniently located, just a two minute walk from Paddington station. It is excellent value for money. I will definitely stay here again. Collapse
