Very welcoming Hotel, with lovely friendly staff who go out of their way to help you. Rooms are a little bit tired, but that is just cosmetic and they are well equipped and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and had Breakfast which was fabulous! Lots of choice and eat as much as you like. We also went for a swim and tried the jacuzzi, steam room and Sauna. Only criticism was that there was no steam! Also, a large, note on the Sauna door saying to press the grey button on the other side of the room, would be useful!! Also, may we suggest a cold water drinks dispenser? The Hotel is literally over the road from the beach & walking distance to the lovely St Annes or couple of minutes in a taxi. We didn't make it up to Lytham this time, but we'll defintely stay at The Chadwick again. Collapse

I loved our weekend in this hotel. The most impressive thing about this place is the people who work here, really friendly and welcoming, they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Great location, directly across the road from beach! The rooms could be described as 'retro' ...ours had an apricot bathroom suite, peach carpet and gold fittings, think a snazzy Auntie's house in the 80's ...where you might enjoy watching Dallas with a babycham. Lovely quality bright white bedding and comfortable beds! Plus the family room accommodates 2 adults and 3 children which is a massive bonus for families. The swimming pool was really nice, modern, clean, well kept and warm water. Enjoyed the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too! Breakfast was great! We also ate lunch and dinner in the hotel which we also enjoyed. Not gourmet faffy cuisine, but the type of food a favourite grandma might make you if you are invited for dinner! Good quality comfort food! Not a pretentious hotel you would pick to show off how flash you are to a new partner (see other reviews) ...BUT the perfect place to go with loved ones to have a great relaxed time and be well looked after. Lots of older generation staying in this hotel whilst we were there which I also really liked. Having lost both sets of grandparents it was nice having the types of conversations only used to have with them. Collapse

Firstly we hadn't booked with this hotel. We had been moved here due to issues with Howarth House Apartments. Potentially over booking but was made out to be because our rooms were trashed but with 3 groups being given this excuse I highly doubt this. We were greeted by the reception very warmly and given a room. We were expecting an apartment type room as we had been sold via booking.com that it was the same as what we had asked for(how wrong). After going round the maze, we found our room and it was so unbelievably dated and scruffy. The floors were uneven, the rooms were baking hot and you could barely all move in the room. The windows only just opened. The raidator knob even fell off in my friends hand so the room remained hot. After complaining, they kindly gave us another room as we were a party of a married couple and 2 friends and felt it wasnt appropriate for us to all stay in one room when our apartment was a room and a sofa bed in the seperate lounge area. We got into the new room. The beds were comfy and we had a slight view of the sea in between the buildings but again uneven floor (which considering the target audience for guests is old people, I found this not acceptable) and very dated (including stains on sheets). We also could hear so much from other rooms, some other friends were below us and we could hear every word, again if you are older and slight of hearing this wouldn't be an issue. Considering it was a weekend away from the delights of our children waking us up (which is rare) we were kindly awoken by noise from a television from a neighbouring room at 7 in the morning which continued until we left. Being a light sleeper this was not appreciated. The food was nice in the morning and the reception area was nice to chat with our friends with a nice view of the sea. All in all, if you have no expectations then its fine. They have obviously invested in communal areas but rooms could do with modernising and soundproofing. Collapse

We stayed for a night midweek with a Wowcher, so it was excellent value for money. The welcome was friendly and whilst our room was being made ready we went into the bar and had a lovely lunch with a bottle of wine which put us in the right frame of mind to enjoy our stay! Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. If one could fault it at all, we couldn't work out how to increase the heating and we were a bit cold but not enough to make a fuss. We went and used the lovely pool and had a jacuzzi and sauna instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast also was a delight, not the usual horrible buffet style that most hotels use, but it was freshly cooked and beautifully served at our table. Lytham is a lovely town and we will definitely go back again. Collapse

The Location is great, just across from dunes and such. The lobby is nice and clean, and the receptionist was very nice. The Rooms, are okay for one night. I wouldn't want to spend a whole weekend here. The rooms are tired and a little dirty. Mould around the windows and between a few tiles in the bathroom. The televisions stick right out of the wall. And the coax cable at the back was loose and the plug had come off the end. I fixed it myself. I never used the pool. Purely due to the rooms. Although the Lobby and pool looked clean. I couldn't help but think that if the room was like it was, I don't really trust the pool. The food is very expensive. If you're looking for somewhere to stay just outside of blackpool for the evening, but near the beach. Then this hotel is fine for that. But If I had to stay more than one night, I wouldn't. Collapse
