We just enjoyed a wonderful 5 day stay in Key West at Casa Marina. As part of a Delta package, as the air conditioning system at The Reach (originally booked) was having issues when we arrived, we were offered to be transferred to Casa Marina and happily agreed. We had a full suite overlooking the tennis courts and were treated very well. The Casa Marina staff members went out of their way to help us in every which way, from providing information about the hotel itself (very good spa) and Key West in general. All staff members (from reception personnel to doormen) were polite and eager to assist. The private beach is absolutely beautiful. Yes, there is seaweed, but you can move a bit in the water and have sand under your feet. The area is calm and quiet and people are respectful of the ambiance. There are plenty of lounge chairs and several hammocks. The chickens are roosters were fun to have around. The wait staff was cordial and were willing to even move the dining tables out further towards the beach for a better view. The food was very good (a bit pricey, but we're from NYC). There is a coffee house and gift shop in the hotel offering a more affordable breakfast. Cabs are ordered promptly to get you to Duval St. for dining and tourist attractions, or you can take a long walk when it cools down towards evening. All in all, we highly recommend the Casa Marina. I stayed for three nights with my family after coming from South Beach the same week. Our interior room was near the pool and made it great from walking back and forth for the restroom or anything else we needed. The room itself was nice and we had everything we needed when requested. Unsure of what KW had become after 25 years away, my family decided to spend out entire days lounging on the beach and by the pool. The fitness room was plenty spacious, well stocked, and had a variety of machines. We enjoyed the amenities, although I myself wished there was some from of entertainment outside in the evening to keep the party going onsite. We LOVED the pool and beach servers and the conversations we shared with them. They are all kind and considerate. Even though I had ONE drink, our server Juan remembered the exact one before I could say it two days later. Juan is amazing, keep him around! The front desk staff was helpful when we had a few mail items arrive at the hotel as well. When we arrive the elevator didn't work, and they allowed us to stay on the first floor rather than the 3rd floor room the gave us. We were sadden by the price of food onsite and left for each meal. I don't mind paying more for beverages and I appreciate the offering of a "Drink of the Day"/affordable beer. This was the first time I didn't get to eat breakfast at a Hilton. The breakfast was of no higher caliber than any other breakfast I've seen at a Hilton, but it is price so unfairly and offers no perks to Diamond members. In the cafe and store, snack bars cost almost $5 each. A small coffee cost almost $5. Fruit in a cup cost over $6. And when I was too hungry after dinner offsite, it was $19 for less than half a cup of ceviche. This is just not right. I can't believe anyone feels comfortable paying more for something of no greater quality. Despite this, I enjoyed the views and sanctuary offered at Casa Marina while staying in KW. While I don't think I'll be back to KW, I am to have at least found a peaceful retreat on the island. Collapse

Lovely room and balcony overlooking the ocean with a complimentary pair of woodpeckers nesting in the palm tree outside , an osprey on a tree near the pool and a pelican flypast every morning. We enjoyed the dolphin and scuba trip with Barefoot Billy who have a franchise at the resort and watching the 4th of July fireworks from a vantage point on their jetty was great. Casa Marina was expensive but worth it for the 3 days we were there. One tip though, remember to factor in the car park charges when looking at the room rate. Collapse

The hotel is very nice. The pools were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly. I liked you could use the sister hotel The Reech (just down the road) It had a very nice beach and reasonable happy hour with selected drinks and appetizers half price. We never ate at the hotel I don't see any breakfast worth $30. When I booked I went for the king room not thinking the view would make that much difference to us. since we usually just go and do, but with the price of the room I was not happy with the view overlooking all the roofs. We were upgraded for a fee. Our first room was bigger, but horrible view. Our second room was on the small side but overlooked the ocean and had a balcony. This is my second time at a Waldorf and would have to say they need to put some money into updates for the price they charge. All in all we had a great time and a great xperience. The chickens some complained about didn't bother us at all. I did not find it noisy or dirty. The pool was very clean and we watched staff raking and cleaning the beach and pool area every day. It would be nice if the hotel offered shuttle to and from the airport. The location is great just a few blocks from Duval Street. Jenn at the concierge desk was very helpful in planning excursions for us. I received several texts from Concierge asking us how are stay was and if they could help us in any way. I would stay there again. Collapse
