We spent the second half of our honeymoon at Casa Angelina. It was recommended by our travel consultant as somewhere a bit different and it was certainly is in a positive way. Our room was a canopy room which was huge and extremely well presented. Everything needed was in the room and was always well cleaned during the day and at turn down. Breakfast was amazing and we could have just eaten there all day. We also ate in the restaurant one evening which is a must. Don't be put off by the 'water menu'!! Very useful to have a bus to take you to and from Positano and is easy to book and use. The staff were all very helpful. The only slight niggle I would have is that they were almost too scripted, maybe they need to lighten up just a little. But I am being really picky. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a honeymoon or romantic break. Collapse

My husband & I stayed at Casa Angelina on our recent trip through Italy in September. What a beautiful hotel to say the least! We had booked a Canopy Room on the 3rd floor (301) which was quite spacious with views from the bathroom & bedroom over the sea to Positano. All white room with the towels & linen crisp & white also which reflects the clean uncluttered look of the hotel. On arrival we were greeted with a very professional, friendly reception team who would cater to our every need during our stay. Nothing was ever a problem. Breakfast was included in our stay & was without a doubt the best breakfast feast we had during our entire trip through Italy. Selection of cold meats, eggs cooked any way, freshly baked pastries, sweets, savoury dishes, whatever your heart desired the chef would do. Everything was freshly baked & served. We stayed at Casa Angelina for 4 nights so we dined both on the Pool Sundeck & the Un Piano Nel Cielo - The Gourmet Restaurant. All meals were absolute first class & always with views of the sea enriched our stay & we did not want to leave. Our room was cleaned daily with a nightly turn-down service, was always cleaned beautifully, with fresh linen & towels. Luxurious L'Occitane amenities which were replenished daily. We walked the 256 steps to the beach club & back a number of times which we found was good exercise for us but really enjoyed lying on the pool deck & having a swim at the pool at Casa Angelina. The beach club staff always looked after us very well though, as they knew we were staying at Casa Angelina, we enjoyed having a spritz & complimentary selection of nuts & olives there. Every staff member at the Hotel were always courteous & attentive to our every need, we could not fault anyone, they always had a smile & were smartly dressed in gorgeous white & blue/grey linen. Thank you to the whole team at Casa Angelina you made our stay there just amazing & our 30th wedding anniversary very memorable. We hope we have the fortune to return one day. Collapse

I picked Casa Angelina (CA) because the few hotels where I originally wanted to stay in Positano were already fully booked. I am so glad that I picked CA and would recommend anyone who's deciding between Positano and Praiano to pick the latter, which is where CA is located. Things that I like about CA and Praiano: - the place is clean and very well maintained (it's true that they have someone with a pot of paint and a paintbrush going around the hotel touching up the already very spotless white walls) - strong wi-fi signal even out on the terrace - twice daily house-keeping service - sumptuous breakfast served with unlimited sparkling wine and plenty of healthy food options - Praiano is right next to Positano but nowhere near as touristy and loud as Positano where many of the hotels are in desperate need of major renovation (I was SO relieved when I walked past some of hotels where I was planning on staying) - I found restaurant service to be more personal, friendlier in Praiano - all rooms face the same direction and have great sea view - nice little touches incl bedtime snacks, candy bowls in the hallway and at the lounge, refreshing drinks served at reception Other comments about the area: - Yes, the beach club 200 steps below the hotel is loud but so are all the beach clubs in the area. Personally, I had enjoyed the beach club experience but I appreciate that there are others who'd prefer a quieter environment and I would suggest that they relax by the hotel pool instead. - Hotel pool is not huge but there are enough sun loungers. - We ate at the restaurant in Hotel Tramonto D'Oro. Reasonably priced dishes with friendly service, and a great place to watch the sunset. Some tables face both the beautiful church and the sea - The sea urchin pasta at Chez Black in Positano was great but it's a very busy restaurant so service can be slow. Collapse

This a very late review of our Casa Angelina visit in June 2016. It was incredible! We loved the hotel's modern design, its setting perched on a cliff over the water, the friendly, expert service, the food, the town of Praiano - everything! We really loved to ultramodern design, which is unusual for a hotel in this part of the world. Not a single lace doily or gilded cherub in sight. Just lots of clean white walls and floor to ceiling windows. We splurged on a Terrace room for three nights, so we had an enormous private outdoor space overlooking jaw-dropping views all the way to Positano and Capri. The terrace was almost too big; you could have easily fit a dining table for six in the leftover area. The interior space of our room was a little small, but you don't visit a place like this to stay indoors. The room also had a Bang & Olufsen TV and a computer, but we had no interest in watching TV or working. We loved the little single-serve coffee machine. One weird quirk about the place: apparently they don't believe in artificial sweeteners, because it is impossible to get a Diet Coke or Coke Light here. They have a smoking lounge and ashtrays, though, so if they're concerned about health, banning artificial sweeteners seems a little misplaced. We had to walk up to the village to buy Diet Cokes, which really wasn't a problem, because Praiano is a magic little town with amazing scenery and loads of charm. The service was excellent. We needed a car transfer and ferry tickets for a 3 day trip to Capri, and the front desk knew exactly who to call and what to do. The restaurant is also a standout, with more of those stunning views. We had a six course dinner (I think; I lost track of all the courses) with really inventive cuisine. I really loved a simple lunch there one day, with a bolognese sauce they stirred into the pasta at our table - what fun! We were so delighted with our stay that we're trying to figure out when we can go back. Collapse
Hands down my favorite hotel in Italy

Words truly do not describe the views, service, location and dining at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of. Modern, clean, white, sprinkled with murano glass - stunning.
