I traveled here with my husband to attend a personal event. We're from the northeast and were looking for somewhere where we could just relax; sun; pool, pool bar, restaurants, spa, some live music - and not a ton of kids. We're not park people and wanted to just hang out, decompress and enjoy the weather. We were pleasantly surprised by the Caribe! It has all of this, but it was the SERVICE that blew us away. Due to a huge storm at home, we need to leave NH a day early and stay 2 days later (Florida's not a bad place to be 'stuck'). Kate is who we dealt with prior to leaving and gave us a great price on an extra night so we could arrive early. When we arrived, we found out she had also given us an upgraded room. Once we knew the airports in our home state were shut down, the front desk hotel not only honored our price for 1 day, but 2. I cannot remember their names, but they were all so nice. Also a huge shout out to the staff in the spa (again, not good with names!). My mom and I came in for mani/pedi's and they were the best we've ever had. The front desk at the spa and the 2 techs were fabulous. So accommodating and kind. Treated us like queens :) Our room was beautiful- whirlpool tub, sink outside the room king size bed, 2 tv's, a huge sitting area with big fridge and microwave. We went to the grocery store and picked up some snacks and drinks - It was nice to have this in the room. I would highly recommend this hotel! The only thing I can comment on as an opportunity for improvement is the piped in 70's music. Not a fan of that genre, but that's just me. LOL Collapse

This hotel seems like it would be excellent based on the location. Unfortunately the food is extremely overpriced and the service is lacking. I paid $3.20 for a yogurt, for example, which is absurdly expensive. We were there for business and had no choice but to purchase food there for breakfast, but it definitely broke the bank. The coffee was also expensive and burnt. Most of the staff seemed perpetually in a bad mood. This is unusual - I travel quite frequently, and usually there are one or two people who have had a bad day, but everyone from the front desk to the waiters at the restaurants seemed surly. On positive notes, the hotel was very clean, and the food was decent at the restaurants. However, I would not choose this hotel as a vacation spot. Collapse

This is a superb property if you are coming to Orlando with a family. Very close to Disney and the Disney Springs area. In the main building, you can find the amazing Venitian restaurant along with the Tropical and Cafe24. The Tropical is your general dining room serving three meals a day with breakfast primarily a buffet. Also in the main building, is the check-in desk, gift shop, and bar. We stayed in building 1 which is all rooms. The room is quite nice. You enter into the living room with a couch, chair, work desk and large set of drawers with a TV and coffee maker on top. This unit also houses a microwave and refrigerator. The next room is kind of a corridor with the bathroom to the left and sink/vanity to the right. The final room is the bedroom with a closet. In the closet is an iron and ironing board along with a large safe, hangers and shelf for your luggage. The room is spacious with either two queen beds or a king, a dresser with large TV on top and plenty of drawers for your clothes, and a sitting chair. We found the room to be quiet and clean. There are two other buildings with rooms, a workout center, and convention area. Building two houses the Coffee shop and additional seating. Building three has a spa. The focal point of the whole resort is the half-moon shaped pool. There is ample seating all the way around the pool with the large waterfall as the focal point. There is also a small waterslide and outdoor bar area. Behind the large pool is a small kiddie pool and playground for the smaller of the bunch. Parking is provided and there are plenty of food options just minutes away. We would stay here again for sure! We had a vending area on our floor, however, the ice machine was out of order the entire time we were there. In fact, the out of order sign seemed quite old! Collapse

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days and the experience was terrible. First my wife arrived 4hours before me, the didn't let her check in because the booking was done by me, OK. She asked for wifi to explain this to me and they said they couldn't give her access if she did not check in so she stayed for 4 hours waiting at the lobby. The room is big but really old, water pressure horrible and wifi almost impossible to connect. Even more you can't use wifi with more than two devices!!! (Of course if you pay you can) I don't recomend you to choose this hotel at all! Collapse

Great experience at the Caribe Royal. I stayed there with my family from May 16th-May 20, 2016. It was our first time vacationing in Orlando and we had a blast. The hotel is about 2 miles from Walt Disney World. We stayed in a suite with two queen beds, living room, flat screen tv, and a mini refrigerator. The hotel grounds are pretty amazing-lush and clean. The pool is quite nice and it has a slide! The gym is fully equipped with weights, elliptical and treadmill. There is even a children's playground and wading pool on the premises. We had breakfast buffet at Tropicana daily where there was wonderful service and great. I thought the breakfast was pricey ($20/pp). Cafe 24 was a nice perk to have since its open 24 hours and you can get a light dinner, wine, soda, or snacks. There is a bus shuttle service that the hotel offers which is relatively cheap. The downside is that there is no early or late bus service. If you want to get to Disney before 9 am or if you want to see the fireworks you are out of luck. All in all I would stay here again but probably rent a car to come and go as I please. I thought for the price it was good for families, couples, or business conferences. I hope this review helps you. Safe Travels, Sevilla0787 Collapse
