I am currently staying at the Hilton as part of the FEMA volunteers in the lagoon tower, and our building has power, AC and everything is working just fine. The tennis courts are still being repaired, but the pool and whirlpool are just fine. The work out center, saunas are awesome! The Ocean Side Tower is open, but the clubs and restaurants are still under repairs, but the moon bar has reopened thurs thru Sat; and the noodle bar just re-opened. Denny's is going strong 24 hours a day! I am comfortable, the room is awesome and clean, and everything works. Collapse

I went to a meeting to San juan Puerto Rico. Since it was my first visit ever, I didn't know which hotel to choose. Luckily for me the caribe Hilton turned out to be an excellent choice. It has a convenient location It is easily found by taxi drivers The rooms are of an adequate size and are well kept There is a small food court just accross the street if you don't really have a budget to eat at the hotel On the first floor they also have convenience stores so you can buy souvenirs and also personal stuff that u might have forgotten when packing at home I would definitely stay here again if I come back to puerto rico Collapse

The Caribe Hilton is officially my favorite hotel ever. I have been fortunate enough to stay on Waikiki, San Diego, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Whistler and this hotel is phenomenal. The location is roughly half way between San Juan airport and Old San Juan. The surrounding area of Candado is vibrant and lively both during the day and at night just adding to the experience. The property is gorgeous, sprawling over acres of property that is all useful. The lobby upon entrance is open air allowing you to feel the Caribbean breeze about the bottom floor, also open-air provides shops and Starbucks along with high-end decor that I feel is appropriate for business and pleasure. Walking outside towards the pools and bars provides a view that is second to none. The exterior design and construction is incredible and by itself is worthy to call a vacation destination. The food served and the drinks are amazing as is the private lagoon that is accessible to hotel guests only allows to you dip your toes into the caribbean waters. Unfortunately, the hotel is built on rock shores so the lagoon is the only way to enjoy the sand as the rest of the property and ocean is lined with large rocky shores. Nevertheless, me being a beach lover I was not let down by the the rest of the outdoor amenities and relaxation opportunities available. You can even feed the iguana that roam the property freely. The bars supply lettuce leak and the iguanas will approach you and eat from your hands. Quite the experience. The rooms are nicely appointed, nothing that really blew me away, but then again I was there to enjoy the outdoors prior to a cruise so I only needed a bed and shower. The room is nice don't get me wrong, quality decor and furniture, but if you are expecting 5* you might be a little let down, but trust me when I say the rest of the hotel more than makes up for it. For the active folks such as myself, I was excited to workout daily prior to my cruise and OMG it was better than the LA Fitness that I was a member of during this vacation. The locker room, the front desk, the equipment is top notch. I was able to get just as good of a workout there as I did in the military. A little secret, within a 5 minute walk, there is a Fogo de Chow Brazilian Steakhouse and it is phenomenal. The restaurant at the hotel had an appealing menu, but I was craving Fogo so I didn't eat there other than breakfast as the rest of my meals were eaten out in town. The only major downfall is that if you want to get to old town san juan, you are looking at almost $20 each way so cab rides can add up quickly. We stayed here for a week prior to a cruise to explore Puerto Rico and if there was anything I would change about the hotel would be the location since the Forts, cruise terminals and the majority of touristy attractions are in Old San Juan otherwise this place would never have vacancies lol. This will always be my hotel in all of my future PR visits and I can't wait to go back. Collapse
