Overall clean and tidy and the majority of the staff are lovely however a few negative points to raise Hire a safe deposit box in your room 20 euros a week then noticed that it merely sat on a shelf and not attached in any way Food in the restaurant good choice and tasty but everything has flies crawling all over it so get in early Queueing at the bar never more than 2 in the main bar who work their socks off but seem to have to focus on the restsurant and weirdly at this all inc bar they wont do you a coffee without paying you have to go to the pool bar for that Apartment on 2nd floor windy staircase no prior warning be careful if you have any mobility problems And another minor moan if you just want to sit and chill you have a choice of sun loungers or director type folding chairs I wouldnt come back Collapse

We have just returned (Sat 9th Sept 17') from a week long stay at the Carema Club. It didn't get off to a great start as our 18 month old's case got stuck in Manchester so we had nothing and I mean nothing for him....No food, clothes, nappies, toys - nothing. The taxi driver on the way to the airport asked if we had packed 50/50 (half babies clothes, half ours) in each case.....well we will in future. Now I know this is not the hotels fault but when we got to the reception and told them, as it was not their problem they didn't really want to know. We asked everyone we thought would be able to help but no one could give us an answer so we went back to reception and asked as they were Spanish and could converse with the right people better than us could they do so and try and get some answers. Again it seemed they didn't really want to do anything as it wasn't their fault. I would also have maybe expected them to help by offering us a few things just to get by until the case turned up, but nothing. Thankfully after 24hrs and about 100euros of clothes and swimwear for the baby later the case turned up in our room...Hooray. No we could relax and enjoy the holiday.....and we did. The room was dated but perfectly clean and had everything we needed, the towels were changed daily and the air con worked. We had a bit of a tropical storm mid way through the holiday which knocked out the air con and produced a small leak in one of the cupboards. As soon as we reported this an engineer was sent out and fixed upon our return to the room that afternoon. No complaints there. The pools were great, on the first couple of days we went to the quieter pools at the far end of the resort from where our apartment was as we thought the little one would enjoy it a little more without loads of kids running about. That pool was great, it has a small splash area which was great. The main pool was always very busy and the entertainment team did a great job of keeping most of the older kids happy and some adults. There was a splash park at the top of the resort with slides and water fountains which was great and kept all the kids entertained for hours. I did see a lot of the children slipping over as did our own banging his head and giving him a nice big lump. A lot of the families were complaining at how slippery the floor around the pools were and I would agree, so this is something to remember. There was plenty of sun loungers so we were never left wanting. there seemed to be a sun bed everywhere you looked, although there a lot taken up with towels before the 10am opening time which non of the Carema staff seemed to do anything about. It was a bit annoying but like I said there were that many there was always some free. The main buffet hall, now I thought this place was great, there was always plenty of choice when it came to the food, and as a lot of other reviews have said the pizza's were brilliant. I never got bored of the food and didn't once think that it was repetitive. The choice for children was huge but as ours was only 18 months we fed him his own meals in our room them just gave him some finger food to munch while we had ours. The outside seating area over looking the sea was lovely and a beautiful place to have your dinner as the sun was setting. We did eat in the A la Carte restaurant one night which was included in the all inclusive and was a set menu, this was OK but you have to be willing to try different things as it was like a tapas style with lots of options. There was a BBQ restaurant which you had to book for lunch or dinner, which we booked into for lunch but had a siesta and missed our slot, we were about an hour late and they were well in there right to turn us away but as the restaurant didn't look so busy I thought they could have squeezed us in. Both these restaurants need booking the day before and I would advise you did this in the morning as they booked out very quickly. The beach was great and there is great snorkeling to do when the sea is calm, there is also a little pond at the far end of the beach that has wild turtles in which wastes an hour for an alternative activity at the beach (take bread - they love it, don't tell Carema its from their buffet). All in all, this turned out to be great holiday and I would recommend Carema Club resort as it had everything we were looking for in our week away. The majority of the staff were great, pool area did its job and the food was lovely. Collapse

We stayed at the carema resort for 1 week at the end of August. We are a family of 5, including 3 boys age 8,5 and 9months. Resort is great for the kids, the kids really enjoyed he pool and my older son enjoyed sports activities like football and water polo ran by the animation team. The hotel itself is very pretty, all staff try exceptionally hard in the upkeep of its cleanliness and were so amazingly friendly! the food was great, the al a carte restaurant next to the pool is amazing, wish we had of used both our al a crate reservations here! The animation team work so so hard and are so unbelievably friendly, they are an asset to the hotel and defiantly need rewarding! Our room was nice and comfortable, had everything we needed. The hotel is right on the beach which is perfect for children. We spent days in the sea snorkelling and riding around on the peddalo, and playing with our inflatables. We also went kayaking to a ship wreck and snorkelled around there, it was so pretty and such a fantastic experience. You can also go scuba diving. I don't have anything bad to say really we had a fantastic holiday! All the staff were so friendly, a negative might be there are a lot of steps! Other than that we had a 5* holiday Collapse

Booked via Jet2 holidays for 4 adults, 2 children in Jan 2017 for 10 days end of August 2017. On arrival we were told we would be put in L block standard room. We advised this is not what we asked for. Receptionist said this was all they had available because the French block book the superior rooms for all year round! We asked could we have ground floor. Due to the fact the children were aged 6 and 8 years and I am not the best at walking far. We were given the keys and told rooms L103 and L105 were ready. After a steep climb on uneven and broken flagstones we reached the apartments. We opened the door of L105 to find it full of flies, dirty and frankly in need of a steam clean. Dirty walls and dirty covers on the sofa bed. Opened the bedroom door to find more flies, lots of them. I thought someone had died in there. There was excrement on the toilet seat, a dirty sink and the hair dryer hanging off the wall. Very poor air con. On the Jet2 website it said all rooms have washing machine, ironing facilities, free wifi. Not in L block! Ant ridden outside and visits from the local cockroaches. Returned to reception to advise of the problems but told there were no other rooms available. They said they would have our room cleaned. Such a shame because the resort is lovely, the food plentiful and the entertainment staff great. On a couple of occasions found dead fly and dead wasp in drinks served at the pool bar. Probably due to staff spraying the area. A little disconcerting as food (hotdogs) served from there. The main food hall was terrible for flies and I found it upsetting seeing children putting crossiants bread salad stuff etc on their plates after flies had been there actually crawling over them. The entertainment is mostly in French so could not understand we most of the time but they worked hard all day and made us feel welcome. The children loved the holiday especially the choice of pools. I would love to be able to give a higher rating but management really need to update J K and L blocks and food hygiene given a rethink like simple mesh food covers placed on certain foods. Otherwise a good family holiday but not worth the high price tab. Collapse

We went to Carema Club Resort in June of this year through Jet2 Holidays, we traveled as a couple with 3 children (one infant) on an all inclusive basis Upon our arrival we were greeted by the friendly reception staff who showed us or room on a map, we were a little grieved our room was the furthest away from the main complex, especially with a baby, 2 children and luggage. This initially wasn't a real issue because we are in good health and didn't mind the walk up the road on the hill, then the steep road up to our room. However after having to do this trip back and forth to the room multiple times a day (which took 10-15 minutes each time) this did become a little tedious especially in the heat. The main issue we had with this was we were all inclusive, and with us having a baby we had to go up to bed early, the distance to the room meant we had to buy alcoholic beverages from the local supermarket as nipping to the bar wasn't exactly convenient at such a distance, not to mention the drinks being served in a plastic cup the size you get in a water vending machine! That aside the hotel, it's grounds and location are fantastic. The hotel rooms are a little dated, but cleaned very well, as was the whole hotel. The local beach is very nice and literally 2 minutes from the pool The staff were all very friendly and always greeted you with a smile, even though they were very overworked. The drinks bar at the side of the pool was regularly only serviced by one member of staff, so long queues were the norm. The drinks were served in small plastic cups, this also meant more regular unnecessary visits. But I must add the staff were fantastic, even with the long hours and hard work they put in. The dining area was modern and clean, the pool was a decent size and well clean, however the poolside was very slippy, I saw many people falling including our kids, another child had a serious head injury while we were there. The splash park was brilliant for the kids, they really enjoyed it, (as did I) and the grounds of the hotel are nice, worth a walk around as well. The entertainment was ok, however we never stayed up late enough to watch it due to having a baby with us. We went walking around the area outside the hotel which is also very nice and clean, as well as stunning views... Definitely worth the venture out on an evening when it begins to cool down slightly. 2 people out of our party got an ear infection (another 2 people we got talking to also got one), I am assuming this was the pool as we were the only ones regularly in it, this meant for 5 days I couldn't swim in the pool and a trip to the hospital was also necessary (advice of travel insurance), I've never had an ear infection while swimming in holidays regularly before. I rarely complain, however I contacted jet2 about this on my return (as well as the issues with the room location and not being able to utilise the all inclusive we paid for), all they did was apologise and nothing more. I'm not one to go for compensation, I just felt I didn't get what I paid for, if they'd of offered me £200 off a next holiday I would of accepted and being happy just because they would of sympathised with our issues, instead I will now unfortunately be unlikely to use them again. Overall I rate this hotel 4/5, the only let down being the small drinks served and the time waiting for them! I would only rate Jet2 1/5 on this occasion, however it's with mentioning last time we used them last year they were fantastic. Collapse
