The Caravel Hotel is an elegant four star facility of Sant'Agnello, an enchanting centre close to Sorrento. The name of the village is inspired to the Patron Saint, Sant'Agnello, to whom the festivity of the 14th of December is dedicated.
The Caravel Hotel is the ideal solution for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday at the sea: in few minutes, walking for about 200 meters, it is possible to reach the Sant'Agnello small beach of Marinella. Immersed in the green, surrounded by a typical Sorrento garden, with a swimming pool, a panoramic solarium. A well equipped and very good restaurant with bar, the four star Caravel Hotel in Sant'Agnello provides a good alternative to all those who wish to relax and avoid the summer chaos typical of the main tourist centres.
Another good reason to choose to spend a pleasant holiday in Sorrento, while staying in one of the quietest and most relaxing centres in the Sorrento Coast, is the very good quality/price ratio which has characterized the commercial policy of the hotel for years: you will be accommodated in cosy rooms with any comfort at really favourable prices.
Shuttle service into Sorrento city centre is included in the price.

The service is excellent, our room was nice and spotlessly clean. The view from the room was uninspiring but OK in view of the price we'd paid. On the Saturday evening it was very noisy outside the hotel just before midnight (not the hotel's fault - a wedding elsewhere) but, having left home at 3.30am, we wished we'd not been woken from our deep sleep. There are two PCs in the foyer free for guests and you can print boarding passes. There is a courtesy bus into Sorrento but it's only a 20 mins walk anyway. For those going to Pompeii or Herculaneum by train St Agnello station is under 10 minutes walk away. Only two gripes really - although the evening meals were gourmet they were almost always served tepid and the muzak in the combined foyer / bar / lounge area was so irritatingly loud - even first thing in the morning - we spent no unnecessary time there. We couldn't talk properly to each other - partly worsened by the fact that the 2 and 3 person settees are some way apart from each other. You had to lean forward and almost shout. Fortunately this muzak was not played in the dining room. There were bookshelves with help yourself books left by other travellers. Collapse

Really enjoyed our 2 weeks here. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good as was the evening meal. Our room was on the small side and had to leave some of our clothes in the suitcase as there was not enough hangers or drawers to put the clothes in.You also did not get the usual tea coffee and sugar in your room unless you asked and paid daily for,but they do make a nice coffee in the bar. The hotel is in a great location within a 15 min walk into sorrento though there is a courtesy bus that runs from the hotel. Collapse

My fiancé and I stayed at Hotel Caravel in October - we were in Sorrento for my best friends wedding. Upon check in, we were greeted by lovely staff and they had our luggage taken to our room (grateful for this, after a not so great journey!!) The staff are AMAZING! They are so nice, welcoming and can't do enough for you. The manager who was at the front desk was already smiling and kindly booked us a trip to Pompeii with no trouble at all. If anyone is debating staying here, stop your debating and BOOK! Lovely location, we had a room that looked over the pool/sea view - just gorgeous. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel itself is great, modern and clean! Thank you for making us feel so welcome, you did a wonderful job x Collapse

We booked this Hotel because of the nice reviews we read on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We were there 10 days to visit Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Naples. We had the requested room at higher floor with an impressive view of the ocean and coast. The Staff was always ready to help us during excursion planning and made lots of booking for us. We have a special Thanks to Gracing who was always there for us and did not manage any effort to make us feel good. We went to Sorrento everyday for a visit , excursion or dinner and we use the shuttle all the time. I don't want to forget the Hotel Restaurant: breakfast were excellent, lunch on the side of the pool were OK, and when we did not feel like going out, the Hotel Restaurant was excellent with lots of atmosphere and very competitive price. The waiters and servers were happy and made us feel special. If you don't feel like taking the shuttle, just stay in Sant' Antonino. Just minutes away, you will find a good pizzeria. I don't want to forget to mention that you will find a lot of private place to relax outside and inside the Hotel. It is really a nice hotel with lots of extra. Collapse

Bit late putting this after a trip in September, but only have good things to say. We came as part of a package (not a touring holiday as there were quite a lot of those there). Room was clean, nothing fancy but perfectly good, we had a room with a balcony although not so much of a view. Food was really good. Don't usually go for included meals, but as it happened didn't have an option when booking this holiday, and I'm pleased we didn't. Plenty of choice, and nice variety including local dishes. Some of the desserts were to die for. Didn't go out to eat once such was the quality. Staff from the waiters, reception, bar to cleaners were all nice and helpful. Organised a trip for me one time. We were so busy looking around, didn't actually use the pool area, but looked nice. Bar area inside & out also good. Decent walk into Sorrento (20 mins), or a couple of times we took the courtesy bus. Short walk to the sea in San Agnello which has a few bars & restaurants if you fancied a change. The rest of the area was amazing, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii etc breathtaking (last two we did on our own no need to book orgainsed trips). Plenty left to see for another trip!! Collapse
