The Caravel Hotel is an elegant four star facility of Sant'Agnello, an enchanting centre close to Sorrento. The name of the village is inspired to the Patron Saint, Sant'Agnello, to whom the festivity of the 14th of December is dedicated.
The Caravel Hotel is the ideal solution for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday at the sea: in few minutes, walking for about 200 meters, it is possible to reach the Sant'Agnello small beach of Marinella. Immersed in the green, surrounded by a typical Sorrento garden, with a swimming pool, a panoramic solarium. A well equipped and very good restaurant with bar, the four star Caravel Hotel in Sant'Agnello provides a good alternative to all those who wish to relax and avoid the summer chaos typical of the main tourist centres.
Another good reason to choose to spend a pleasant holiday in Sorrento, while staying in one of the quietest and most relaxing centres in the Sorrento Coast, is the very good quality/price ratio which has characterized the commercial policy of the hotel for years: you will be accommodated in cosy rooms with any comfort at really favourable prices.
Shuttle service into Sorrento city centre is included in the price.

We arrived quite late on a Thursday night for a four night stay at this hotel. Mike was on reception and he was extremely helpful and welcoming. All the staff at this hotel are excellent and they arranged a couple of trips for us as well as providing useful information about the area. The room was spacious; with a steel hip, I always find the mattresses a little firm, but my wife tells me it was a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is what you would expect for a medium sized hotel; the fruit juice was excellent and plentiful (this is Sorrento after all) but I would have like the scrambled egg to be a bit less homogenous. If continental hotels are going to serve tea to a lot of English visitors for breakfast (I know, we should drink the coffee), then I always think they should drop that famous continental brand imposter and go for the real thing. The hotel was spotlessly clean with very relaxing garden at the front and in a good area just outside Sorrento, but a short walk to one of the best the view points of the Bay of Naples. Collapse

Hotel is in a residential area so nice and quite, very clean and grounds well looked after. All staff are very friendly and helpful and accommodating to your needs. Rooms are reasonable size, bath / shower/fridge, we had a balcony that over looks front of hotel/ pool and can see the sea as on top floor, but balcony not very big and can only fit 2 small chairs on but to be honest it's all you need. We hired a kettle of a cost of 4 euros a day. Food at hotel is second to none, very good choice for breakfast and good quality produce. Evening meal was a waiter service 3 course meal which also was very good quality and great choice every evening I was also looked after well with my special dietary needs and was felt at ease. All catering/ waiters / bar staff should be very proud as it's a well run hotel and very enjoyable holiday. If I have to mention anything that my husband and I found was the hotel does attract a elder cliental which was not a issue for us but maybe younger than us ( middle 40s) may find it too quite. This is a reasonable 4 star hotel but due to some stressfull problems I can only rate somewhere between 3-4 out of five. I would not recommend if travelling with small children. Our 2 week holiday got off to a rocky start. I booked via Thomson. U.K. and paid full Half Board for my daughter expecting her to have the provision of at least a bed on our arrival. We were advised on check in that she could have a cot at a supplement of €10 euro per night. I insisted that I had paid for half board and requested a bed. A bed was then offered but the reception staff were a little bit rude insisting I show my booking paperwork which I provided on arrival. I have no idea where they were expecting her to sleep, the room only had 2 single beds. I tried to forget this and not let it spoil the rest of the holiday. This is not what you need after travelling all day and are tired with a 2 year old! All drinks are charged toyour room and payable on departure. I prefer to pay as you go. I checked my balance randomly throughout the stay and on 2 ocassions I was charged for drinks I had not received. I wonder how many people actually check and just pay. When I questioned the bill this was quickly rectified but no explanation given. To me this is simply not good enough. Drinks are very over priced small beers €4.50, house wine €14. In comparison you can get a small beer for less than a Euro in the supermarket and a bottle of wine for less than 2 euros. We stuck to water charged at €2.50 and bought all other drinks away from the hotel in the local bars. Final negative was staff numbers in the restaurant, service was very hit and miss. On our first night we were sat waiting over 2 hours between taking our order and desert. On other occasions service was very effcient. I think much depends on how busy the hotel gets with large groups arriving on organised trips. Food on the whole was excellent, varied and well prepared. We only had one bad meal (under cooked lamb) throughout the entire stay. The restaurant staff are all lovely and work very hard and at times under high pressure due to the restaurant being over accommodated. Angelo is also a true gentleman and a credit to the hotel. We found the bed a little uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible so I would recommend bringing your own. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well presented, a lovely pool, soft furnishings, a lovely garden and 2 breathtaking terrace areas. A real positive. Our room was always cleaned to a high standard and house keeping was excellent. Free wi fi which also worked in our room and a free safe which was a real positive. I would not return to this hotel due to my personal experiences and would try an alternative hotel if back in Sorrento Collapse

We recently stayed at the Hotel Caravel for a week's holiday. We couldn't fault the hotel at all. It's in a great location - 15 minutes walk from Sorrento. The hotel runs a shuttle bus service into the main town which is perfect for visiting Sorrento. The rooms are nicely decorated. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel - we like to sample different restaurants when we are on holiday - but all the guests we have spoken to complimented the quality of food on offer. The bar staff were so friendly - big thanks to Max, Giuseppe and Enrico for their hospitality, they really made our holiday. The hotel is reasonably priced in a great spot for exploring all that Sorrento has to offer - would highly recommend the Hotel Caravel. Thanks for a great stay! Collapse

Well, a truly fantastic experience! Travelled as a couple in June 2016 and would 100% return! The room was spacious, and the view over Sorrento was outstanding, everything clean and in order. The staff we amazing, from the moment you walk in the entrance at reception, to the maids, and the restaurant staff - of whom I give special credit, fantastic organisation and catered especially to my vegetarian girlfriend, food was fantastic although we did travel to Sorrento a lot for meals as we wanted to explore the local cuisine. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sun beds and shaded areas, with a lovely pool and jacuzzi area. Free bus shuttle from the hotel to Sorrento was much appreciated, and very close to Saint Angello train station which was roughly €4/5 RETURN to Pompeii, amazing. Highly recommended. Collapse
