The Capital Hotel is one of London’s premier destinations for a luxury break – one of the few remaining family-run hotels in the city, the plush decoration and attention to detail make this an incredibly special place to stay. Lovingly managed by the Levin family since opening in 1971, the hotel is situated in the fashionable area of Knightsbridge and is the closest hotel to Harrods, the iconic London department store. The V &A Museum and Hyde Park are also just a short walk away.
With the delights of central London just a short tube or taxi ride away too, you can retreat to the hotel’s plush and incredibly comfortable accommodation with ease. Each of The Capital Hotel’s 49 guestrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated – every piece of furniture is handpicked to complement the interior décor and luxurious ambience of the hotel.
The hotel’s onsite restaurant – Outlaw’s at The Capital – is run by renowned chef Nathan Outlaw and holds a Michelin Star, serving up unique and inspiring dishes perfect for a sumptuous treat. Retire to the supreme comfort of the cocktail bar for a nightcap, and enjoy the manager’s legendary whisky and cheese pairings for an extra-special experience during your stay.

Our experience at this hotel was simply extraordinary. The location is perfect - I do not believe there could be a better location for shopping in London. Located literally right around the corner from Harrod's and Sloane Street. The staff were delightful to a person. They harken back to times when people actually took pride in their work and went about it with vigor and genuine interest. This was a most delightful surprise - even in a 5 star hotel. The entire hotel projected a warm and welcoming vibe. Very traditional (which we love and appreciate) and tastefully decorated. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. The bed was perfect. The shower was damn near perfect. They provided an oversized room safe, which was a welcome touch. Did I mention that the service was extraordinary? Without a doubt, this will be our new "go to" hotel when visiting London. I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience at this property. Collapse

From check-in to check-out a great experience. Stayed for two nights wish it could have been longer. Although our room overlooked the street there was very little noise. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Requests were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Only ate breakfast here but it was very good, enough choice and things seemed to be replenished quickly. Location is good, near museums and shopping. Would love to return. Collapse

I stayed 24th & 25th Dec It was a nice boutique hotel with a great position especially if you like to shop in Knightsbridge. The hotel I found a bit old fashioned, compared to other larger 5Stars ,but that was perhaps to be expected. A few staff could do with lessons in 'smiling!'. I had a brief encounter with Kate ( GM). She was a breath of fresh air. Bright, smiling and so polite- some of the staff take note. The place was clean & tidy. All the staff were more than willing to help, just wish there were a few more relaxing smiles in the place. The dining room was also the breakfast room which I found a bit gloomy, but it's boutique, you only have so much room. However, I think I would like to come here again having been here only once this Xmas. And I'm sure I would blend in better and get the best out of this hidden boutique. I hope I'll get a lot more happier faces next time . You have to remember these guys are working and taking care of us over Xmas. I'm sure they'd rather be at home. I'll be returning.... Kate, I'm sure everybody will be happy to see me ! Regards... Collapse

Really loved everything!!! Exceptional attention to detail in all areas. The front desk staff and concierge went out of their way to please and help in every way. Room service was impeccable: quick, and brought all extras you might need Doormen were excellent and very efficient in getting a taxi for us every time we needed one. Comfortable room & bathroom with a great closet .Bed and pillows were delicious and cozy Outlaws Restaurant was great!! On premises the 1* Michelin has great food and service. Not to be missed. Location right at the footsteps of Harrods, Harvey Nichols and all the Knightsbridge shopping area. All the staff has a way of making you feel appreciated and cared for. A different story happens when you arrive for breakfast. You feel you entered a different hotel. Nervous, anxious, vey uptight staff at all levels!! You feel like you are intruding. I tried to speak to the head of the restaurant to ask if I could sit in the bar area because I had Museum tickets and could not take long. He abruptly answered something totally irrelevant to my need, and took off dismissing me. I waited for him and caught him face to face and told him all wanted was to sit at the bar. Answer "Oh I didn't understand you" Solution: Never returned for breakfast ....had room service, which was perfect!!! Collapse
