I cannot believe the bad reviews for this hotel, For what we payed l was amazed, reception staff were good ,had a nice room overlooking the pool, excellent shower, very good breakfast, good evening meal, not a huge choice but well presented and well cooked,3 euros for a bottle of house wine. yes it is very Spanish but you are in Spain.nothing to do in hotel at night but only a short walk to old town ,good walk ,bus or taxi to new town. There are a lot of better hotels but you will have to pay a lot lot more. Not expecting a view & didn't get 1. Stayed full board, but found the food quite bland. As it's quite cheap to eat out, we will not go for hotel food again. The hotel pool is small, in the shade & has no sunbeds around it. The Camposol is in a good location near to the old town & beaches. Collapse

Stayed here for 4 nights recently with old school friend, couldn't believe how ignorant majority of the staff were. The rooms are so dated with rock hard beds. Cleaned daily but still dingy. Had lovely pool view only downside the pool was never used due to it being in the shade all the time. Tried the restaurant the first night and morning and to be honest the food was terrible, suited the majority of the Spanish guests, not even a decent cup of coffee out of the machine as it was too sweet. Only advantage for me was it wasn't too far from the beach and some lovely bars on the way. Definitely recommend Two Palms up in the pedestrianized area up one of the quant alleyways food was 5* Oh and please please if you do get dropped off at porkys in the shuttle buses. This hotel is 4 streets up on the left. Not the first one as most of the drivers were telling people, my friend and I spent almost half hour walking round late at night trying to find it. lovely place to walk to in the morning for breakfast is the Friends on Beach food was lovely Collapse

I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Benidorm staying at Hotel Camposol, on booking I knew not to expect anything special , as was a cheap holiday, however i was extremely disappointed in the hotel, I had booked a single room, which was basic, so small, there was no room at all, it looked onto a back wall, no balcony, the cover on the bed had holes in it, and the bathroom had not been refurbished since the 1960s I think, which is when the hotel was built, with an old pull chain to flush the toilet, and the shower was something else, you had to put it on the wall, with the curtain not being able to go all the way round because of the cistern on the wall, there was air con and a tv which was no good as only spanish channels apart from a english news channel, room needs to be updated and modernised, and maybe offer hairdryers to clients, the pool was in constant shade, as doesn't get the sun, there was plenty of choice in the restaurant, however it was catered for Spanish clients. I found the staff to be rude and ignorant, making you feel that you were not welcome, especially the barlady, who constantly ignored me, and continued to talk to serve spanish clients, which was utterly appalling as it is advertised as an international hotel. The only things the hotel has in its favour is it's cleanliness, the cleaners were lovely, and rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels etc, and its location as, is close to shops and beach, however I was not welcomed at checking in or out. When returning to benidorm I would definitely not be staying in this hotel, it needs a complete refurbishment to bring it into the 21st century, and staff certainly need retrained in customer service. This hotel caters for elderly spaniards, no one else, Collapse

The hotel is in old town, surrounded by many restaurants and bars yet quiet enough from the main noise. It’s only a five minute walk to the beach and Main Street. The hotel was well maintained and cleanliness was very good. Sadly the beds were dreadful; they were really hard and uncomfortable. The staff were not very friendly, the cleaning staff never spoke and the waiting staff, although efficient just were not happy or friendly. The reception staff were very good. The food was pretty standard but a good choice. No butter available at breakfast, just sunflower spread. The swimming pool, although small was always cleaned daily and the area maintained. There were no sun beds, just chairs and tables but if never got packed. The rooms have air con but some days the units were switched off from 8am until 1pm. Our rooms were cleaned every day but the towels were so thin they were hard to dry yourself after a shower. Apart from the beds and towels, the hotel was reasonable. Collapse
