Absolutely loved the place. Few negative people unhappy with the food but that was never an issue. We all are everyday, the weather was beautiful, the staff were friendly. Location is good for any type of visiting the island. Taxis on demand out the front and regular bus services. Really really good holiday. Would definitely stay again if we return to Gran Canaria. Family of 4 stayed from 8-15 August. Pool - you need to get up early for a sun bed. They unlock beds at 7 and they are gone by 7:10. Size is ok but loads of inflatables and kids diving in although signs say you can't. Slightly salty water and not too cold. Rooms - stayed in 143, right by the pool so woken up 06:30 by staff with hose then the herds grabbing beds. Room clean, had 5 cockroaches visit us in the week but it is Spain! Tv with a few English channels, 4 plastic chairs and tables so you can sit outside. Fridge, bath/shower which was all more than adequate. Food - never a fork for the first 2 visits. Breakfast the best meal of the day, lunch and dinners less than average. Loads battered and very little choice. Fruit was always available. Am sure I lost weight!. They do a picnic if your out for the day which is a nice touch, fruit, water and ham and cheese sandwiches. We ate out twice as we wanted better. Drink - local beer ok, cocktails strong, kids loved the slushes. Always a queue during the evening, poor staff worked hard to keep up. Entertainment - during the day they try and keep people busy. With such a small site it's hard. Air rifle, table tennis comp they do try. Kids stuff from 7pm and tug of war on concrete!! Some other games. Evening hit or miss. Parrot show good, usual karaoke, but a fashion show??? Everyone felt unsure whilst she kept changing and walking up and down as if we were in Cannes! Nothing on a Sunday. Area - supermarket small 5min walk. Everything else you need a taxi which are cheap enough. The rodeo day out was better than expected. Aqua land good but busy. Opens at 10 and we got there 09:40 and got straight onto excellent rides which were 20-30min wait later in the day. Other park staring with P don't bother. Loads of hilly walking to see a 10min bird show, a million parrots and a lame dolphin display. Some lovely beaches discovered when hiring a car and a huge market by a port. Gran Canaria is your typical package hol. English prices really and occasional bargains in markets. People do not hassle you much compared to other countries, and the weather is consistent. Collapse

Just returned from hotel. Do not take any notice of bad reviews. 2 x 50year olds 2 x 26 year olds 1 x 14 and 1 x toddler. Good overall holiday cheap and cheerful. Breakfast has continental and cooked, snacks one day hot dog and chips second day burger and chips. Lunch salad, bread, cheese, coocked food, snack biscuits or cake, evening meals salad, pasta, chicken, pork, beef, and fish with chipe, potatoes, sometimes veg sometimes jacket potatoes, soup, salad, icecream, fruit, cold rice pudding and always some creamy stuff which is different colours.lets face it, would you cook and put 4 or 5 different meats on your plate at home, No you wouldnt, 2 weeks it does repeat but what do you expect. Some people just like to moan, especially it seems the Brjts. Loads of sunbeds you do not have to get up too early, lack of brollys. Entertainment. Stuff going on in day. Air rifles, water polo, football, and other stuff. If you want to join in. Evening entertainment. Mon to sat. Disco and games for kids, yes it is around the bar but if it wasnt then the bloke who does entertainment would be a childminder because most of the time the parents just sit having a drink and let kids run round. Quiz night, kareoke , reptiles, birds fashion show ect for adults. Play park where teenagers seem to hang around with no closing times. Too many large floating unicorns ect in pool. Slippy on side of pool, pool, table tennis. Could do with aircon but take a fan or hire one.staff work very hard, cleaning all the time. Rooms always clean and towels, bedding changed regulary. Lovely staff. Moany Brits. Good value for money. Its what you make of your holiday that counts. All in all, fab holiday, loadsa laughs. Collapse

So we are just leaving today and we have had a great time on the island. This review will give you some tips on how to survive here as it's basic but you get what you pay for! It definitely wasn't one of out worst holidays but little things could be better. Firstly it's not all inclusive like other resorts it's 3 set meal times with snacks in between morning snack is chips and hot dogs only. And the evening snack is basically rubbish cakes on the bar! The bar is 11 till 11 and at night last orders is super sharp and you do find the place is dead after that so if your after a night of entertainment after 11 it won't happen! Staff also patrol at night to keep noise down on terraces etc! For us this was fine this was a trip to relax and re charge so cannot complain! The bungalow we had 213 was perfect for us 1 bedroom and full bathroom upstairs as well as a lovely terrace overlooking the pool.. Which I'll come to later... Downstairs flat screen TV and sofa, fridge with little freezer and small dining table! The sofas we realised are used as beds if more than two people staying in the bungalow. We had a few problems when we first arrived no hot water for first two days and a broken shower head. Once maintenance arrived though they installed a new boiler and fixed the shower head so was perfect. There isn't enough hot water here for back to back showers but if u leave 20 mins or so between them there's enough. The bungalow was spotless we couldnt fault the housekeeping at all they came in pretty much daily to change towels we got two linen changes in the 11 days so satisfactory for us. There is no air-conditioning here so be prepared in the high season for it to be warm you can hire a fan which I mean u can buy and then leave a deposit to. It's a bit of joke they took 38 euros from us plus a 10 euros refundable deposit for the fan so in reality I was buying a fan I had to return this is the same if u want an iron, kettle or even the TV remote! Staff were helpful but not overly friendly never initiating and conversations ie how was Ur day etc or even hellos without us first saying it. That said again didn't bother us but it's not point guest interaction is part of a hospitality job! Our main problem here is the food and the pool! Firstly the food it's the same every day but with a different sauce. Salad is always fresh and lovely soup is hit or miss and luckly ice cream available at every meal time. Puddings were sweet sponges or mouse and fresh fruit. It's a small choice, you definitely won't starve here but you will get bored of bland food and the repetitiveness of it. Breakfast is the only meal after 3 days we really ate here cause u can get toast and almost a full breakfast. Plenty of the concentrated fruit juices and water and tea and coffee! The pool is a health hazard!! Two reasons it's filthy and it's full of inflatables and millions of children the pool is way to small for that! There are signs saying no inflatables bit is always ignored! The pools is murky and dirty many people including ourselves got sore ears and myself I witnessed the pool cleaner throw in chemicals at 6/630 one morning. Having worked in hotels with pools that is not standard practice for cleaning a pool.... only 1 day while we were here did I see the pool man clean the water or the tiles! We ended up not using the pool. The basic level of things is missing here and that's why I could give it anymore stars we didn't pay over the tip for this holiday but in the end we basically paid an all inclusive price for a self catering holidays. Local shop is 5 min walk across the roundabout and also a nice bakery and cash point there to. To walk to the beach it's a good 25 mins but taxis are cheap here 50 euro to airport 4 euro to beach 6 euro to Playa de Ingles etc all on meters so u dont Haggle here!!! The place is a great base but that's all. Collapse

The hotel its self is nice. Clean rooms, fresh towels, beds made lovely staff. Plenty of sunbeds for durning the daytime. Overall a good location for the hotel . the hotel has good facilities. BUT!!!!!! -The food is horrendous, same things over and over just in a different sauce. People are having to order food from local pizza hut for there teas or are going out for meals. And also going to local supermarkets for drinks and crisps for snacks as the times for the food is bad its breakfast 8-10 am Snacks (which is burger and chips or hotdog and chips ) 11am-12pm Dinner 1-3pm Snacks which is a piece of cake on the bar 4-5pm Tea 6-9pm Which means theres not access to food durning the hours between. They charge for ice creams out of a vending machine. -Staff can be rude at times. -drinks are intermittent at times, going from too sweet to, to chemically changed. - entertainment on a night time isnt good enough for the whole family not enough room for the discos and kids games and may be dangerous at times like playing tug of war on concrete, Also repetitive. -the pool is a good size however having trouble with the chemicals causing kids/ adults to have ear and eye infections. -Not enough seating on a night. -wifi is NOT free. Would i go again yes because of the place but no because of the bad points stated. It needs a serious lift! Collapse
