This complex has good and bad points, first the good clean good maid service now the bad these bungalows are in much need of updating and upgrading.in our bungalow 2 of the doors stuck open and couldn’t be shut.the tv was a good 32 inch but only 1 American channel the rest Spanish there is no toaster or kettle and the freezer in the fridge was useless.the site also has a large no of Ferrell cats.the location is not good unless you are a good walker as it is in an area that has not been built up and footpaths are not in place everywhere.we enjoyed our stay but felt we needed to point out its bad points. Had requested away from reception in a quiet area ended up in block closest to reception surrounded by children. Stayed away as much as possible was not a relaxing place to be. Had the smallest kitchenette that I have ever had no place to prepare food only really suitable for making drinks. Generally run down only good thing was the shower with plenty of hot water. First place I have stayed in that I will not be returning to. Collapse

Recently returned from Duna golf and Jet 2 seriously need to look at what star rating this is, bungalow was small but weren't bothered by it as we didn't want to be in it all day. However the mattress was like sleeping on a slab of stone but if you wanted a comfortable mattress topper you would have to pay extra for it and due to the beds being single ones it is double the price cos you need two toppers. secondly if you want to have TV on in background whilst getting ready you have to pay extra for the remote control, no air conditioning in rooms and none available. Also people who work in the front reception should at least be approachable and not look like everything is an inconvenience to them, don.t want to deal with the public get another job. With very little money and effort could be a good resort but it is very sadly lacking. Collapse

stayed here for one week from 8th of October on a half board basis , booked with Jet2.com.arrived just before evening meal service ended but was told we were too late for evening meal , however they did provide a meal for us that was brought to our room , a nice touch.the bungalows are basic with just what you need if stopping on a half board basis, there is no air conditioning or free wi-fi. the bungalows are situated around the pool area with the restaurant/snack bar also on the fringe of this pool area.the minimarket on site was closed while we were there and judging by the bare shelf's did'nt look like it was opening anytime soon ? , we did ask if it was going to open again but staff we asked did'nt know .the Dunagolf cater's for a wide range of european nationalities ( the flags of various nations fly at the front of the complex , the union jack was not one of them though ! ) and the food in the restaurant reflects this , breakfast can be continental or full english !,evening meal has a meat , fish and pasta option , but only one of each , the desserts are tinned fruit ,ice cream, a mousse/instant whip or peanuts ! ,the food is not presented very well but what there is of it is plentiful. drinks with evening meal are not complimentry and need to be paid for when you leave the restaurant and you cannot charge them to your room .the pool area is the gem of this complex , plenty of space and sunbeds .the complex is in an area of Maspalomas where other bungalow complexes of similar style/design are situated .this area is fairly isolated with not much there other than the bungalow complexes,we walked upto the Moonlight Bar next to the fun fair/amusement arcade every night , this is a 25/30 minute each way walk , not a problem for us but if you are not up to this then taxi's or a hire car would be your options.on the day of your departure the complex has a courtesy shower room available if you have a late flight.a shuttle bus to the beach and playa del inglis is available daily at €1.50 each way .the Dunagolf is rated 3 stars by Jet2.com and i would say this is about right most of the time. Reading some of these reviews I am amazed at what people expect. We paid just short of £300 for a week self catering and I can't fault it. Dunagolf matched and exceeded my expectations in some cases. Our bungalow - number 18 - was clean, tidy, nice decor, good space, open kitchen with little table but with a lack of cupboard space but we moved some things around and made room to store food. I think we were lucky and a microwave had been left from a previous occupant. No toaster or kettle but it's good to try new things right? It's basic accommodation so don't expect four star luxury. Good size bathroom with walk in shower which had a good water flow. Twin beds which were hard but didn't stop us sleeping. No air con but we could've hired a fan but didn't need it. This resort is a good 30 minute walk from Meloneras and the dunes of Maspalomas. Amazing how many people bemoan that fact on TripAdvisor. With the internet and Google Maps these days why not check out where it is before you book it? I'm a regular visitor to Maspalomas so am aware how far the self catering accommodation is from the beach but I like it. It's quiet and we self catered so it was ideal. There was a beach bus service which cost €1.50 one way and worked a treat or a cab is around €4 or €5. The cleaners come in five days and change sheets once a week and towels twice a week. If I had one small complaint it's that there are tiny ants everywhere but they don't trouble you and as long as you keep food covered they're not a problem. Lovely big pool area and not too noisy, loads of sunbeds and comfortable, as sunbeds go. Loads of space for sunloungers and you don't feel on top of each other at all. Great big pool, children's pool plus a jacuzzi. We ate lunch the first day at the bar. Standard sandwich/burger/chips menu. Food was nice for €7 each (including two drinks). The reception service on arrival was quick and friendly and both guys speak really good English (annoyingly as I like to practice my Spanish). We hired the in room safe for €12 (& €10 deposit) and the wifi (€18) which worked well for us. We didn't see the onsite supermarket open at all. In fact while we were there a sign went up to say it was "Definitively closed"! There is a little supermarket in the resort next door - Duna Beach -or if you walk 5 minutes to the end of the road and turn right there is a mini mart next to Las Vegas Golf or the Hiperdino at Faro 2 is a ten minute walk. Or if you want to do a big shop and self cater fully as we did a €5 taxi trip away are a few larger supermarkets in San Fernando. Cockroaches - we had one cockroach in our shower cubicle one night. He quickly skedaddled. We got some spray from reception and sprayed around the shower. And we woke to two dead ones on our patio one morning which tells me that whatever the resort are putting down is working. No others seen. This is a hot country after all and we know cockroaches exist but as long as the resort is managing them I am happy. The pool bar hours are 1pm to 10pm. The guy serving was pleasant enough but didn't smile much. Overall a lovely, comfortable, clean resort and all you can expect for the money. I would definitely return. Collapse
