My wife and I stayed in a studio apartment with pool (and sea) view at the Brisa Sol for 14 nights as part of a package tour. The hotel was exceptionally clean & the room was serviced daily by delightful helpful staff. The outdoor pool was invigorating in March but there is a lovely warm small indoor pool open October to May. Kitchenette had electric 2 burner hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge & sufficient pots & pans & crockery for holiday use. The location is very good being about 15 minute walk downhill to the beach, the old town or along to “the strip”. The marina is about 30 min stroll. The little tourist train stops next to the hotel and the local bus to Vilamoura & Faro stops close to the hotel. The main bus station is within 15 walk. There are 2 large supermarkets close to the hotel and a delicious cake shop / cafe next door. Reception staff were very helpful finding information for me about cycle hire & letting me store the bike in the hotel garage. They also delivered a gift to some friends who were arriving after we left. Collapse

My partner and I have been to Albufeira many times but this was our first stay at the Brisa Sol. We had requested a high room and pool view, it seems we asked for too much as we just got the high room, floor 3. We were told the hotel was full, anyway it was fine as although we were above the car park, from our room we could see the sea in the distance, so I think we had one of the better views. The hotel is old fashioned, spacious and clean. Our apartment was huge, with a decent kitchen area, we even made a couple of cooked breakfasts there and ate on our balcony, taking in the white roof tops and sea view. Housekeeping are great, and come in every day, and change the bedding every few days. The only downside to our apartment was a bad drainage smell coming from the bathroom, which we tried to mask with room fresheners. We didn’t want to change apartments as we really liked the view. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished or retiled, and was also spacious, just the smell coming up from the drains that wasn’t good. The TV gets BBC1 and 2, ITV and another English speaking channel, channel 4 wasn’t working on our TV, so this was great for time spent indoors. The outdoor pool is very nice and a great size, we got to swim in it which was lovely in March. The bar doesn’t open until 4pm, so the hotel are missing a trick I think, as it would be good to purchase drinks to have at the pool. However when we asked, reception advised us to buy drinks from the supermarket almost next door and take to the pool, which we did. If you wanted to buy hot drinks there is a McDonalds opposite so you could get them there. There is also a fantastic pastry shop / café next door (in the hotel grounds) so plenty of choice nearby. I think the location of the Brisa Sol is excellent, as we walked to the Fishermans Beach, the Old Town, and the strip and Oura Beach from here. If you aren’t up to walking the little train - bus stops outside and there is a taxi rank outside the supermarket and the taxis are inexpensive. The hotel was quiet with mainly older couples and we were not woken up by noisy hen and stag groups, which was also a bonus. I would recommend the Brisa Sol as a good place to stay and I am thinking about going back. Collapse

This is a 4* aparthotel. We just spent 5 nights in a fairly good 4* hotel in Lisbon at 150e/night and were not expecting much in the Brisasol at 42e / night. We were wrong! Large airy place with lots of storage, quiet and pristinely clean. Lovely living room/kitchen, well equipped and with a huge TV screen with a few English speaking channels, sliding windows to large terrace. Good-size bedroom with hard, comfortable twin beds and a superb shower room. Own paper/sweet shop and a great pattiserie next door. Easy secure parking on premises. Stayed just one night, but wish we had stayed longer. All staff were helpful. Only negative was the dining room where we had dinner, plentiful but not tasty or interesting. Breakfast wasn't much better. We plan to return for a week in October so may see you there. I'm the one with the sombrero and the castanettes. Next time we will either self cater or go out for meals. We really would recommend this place, especially if on a budget. Collapse

My husband and I stayed at the Brisa Sol for a week in February. We found the accommodation very spacious and it was also very clean. We booked for bed and breakfast and found the range of breakfast foods amazing. There was so much choice and the staff were always very welcoming. The pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds but as the indoor pool and gym didn't open til 10 we weren't able to make use of them. The bar was very good and there was a happy hour each day between 5&7 o'clock with a 30%discount. There is a very good supermarket just around the corner with an excellent range of products. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit. Collapse

nice looking hotel, well placed but very disappointing. Nothing open until 4pm. unless you make your own coffee in your room there is nowhere to get one unless you go outside to the attached deli which was nice but the weather was so bad didn't feel like going out. Bar opened at 4pm, happy hour til 8pm, nothing to do apart from watch tv. obviously pool was closed as winter season, indoor pool open but again had to go outside to get to it. Our room was on -1 floor overlooking car park. not a nice room, again had to go outside to get to it. stayed 4 nights and had rain every day. Staff, hardly seen anyone. Breakfasts, found bacon sausage to be cold, eggs rubbery. One good point, Bathroom was really nice Collapse
