Checked in on Saturday night last and paid €94 room only. Receptionist Christina was friendly. Gave us a family room 4 beds that had terrible mattresses. Room was Worn looking. Christina said the hotel was 'family friendly'. I could see that by the wear and tear in the room. I knew I should have checked the room before I paid for it - if I had we would not have stayed. Did some research on trip advisor 'after' we had checked in (school boy error) and read some poor reports especially the food. Needless to say we didn't have breakfast Sorry Breafy Woods we won't be back....you really need to update your hotel. Collapse

I recently organised a group booking of 42 people to stay in the hotel for 2 nights to include breakfast and dinner on both days. From the time of our arrival we were warmly greeted by a guy named Kamol who went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Some of our group had mobility problems but the facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful. The food was fabulous and overall our stay was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is organising a group outing, Collapse

At first appearance, the hotel looks very posh. Once inside, I couldn't help but feel like the "posh" was just a surface thing. Our room was on the second floor. Walking down the hall on the old red, rippled carpet, there is this smell that I can't quite put my finger on but its very unpleasant. It's also very noisy when people are walking outside of the room down the hall. The room was spacious and clean. However, clearly at one time this was a smoking room judging by the burn holes in the carpet. We had breakfast at the buffet. The eggs, potatoes and beans were cold. The hotel staff were all very friendly. Collapse
we would have been better off sleeping in a fridge !!

so we arrived to the hotel and when we got to the room it was freezing! we messed with the thing on the bottom of the radiator to see if it was turned off on that . we turned it all the way up and said wed give it a chance. For dinner we had to leave this hotel and go into Breaffy house. The waitress took our order all was fine there, when it came to the food coming out my boyfriend got his starter and main together and i got just my main. i figured they must have forgotten my soup i thought it was no big deal the dinner would do me, about 15mins into my main a waiter comes down with the soup i ordered as a starter!! i said id finish the main seen as i was half way through but by the time i got to my soup it was stone cold !! when it came to paying my boyfriend explained the situation and the bar man deducted the drinks from the bill which were a baileys and 2 pints a milk i thought it was very expensive it was almost 60euro for two starters and two mains. feeling fairly pissed off i was looking forward to going back to a nice warm room but of course when we got back to the room it was still cold. my boyfriend went to reception and complained the lady then came down and pressed a button on the wall outside our room she said the heat would only be on for 2 hours!! waiting patiently for the heat to come on but never did not even the next morning !!!! there was also a boarded up door in the corner where i think the draft came from ! i ended up going to bed with a long sleeve top on a t shirt pj pants socks and my boyfriends jumper !! WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE ! Collapse

We booked in for two nights. The rooms are large and comfortable but feels a little dark. It is a hotel for sport enthusiasts. Staff were very helpful. My only disappointment was I had decided to eat in the bar for my last evening and it was a mad house. It was loud with screaming children running around. I had older teens with me and we decided to go into town even though we were tired and would have preferred to sit in. It is nice to see that there is a hotel allowing the freedom for young children but it was so not for us. Breakfast was pleasant, only as i had the foresight to check with reception on arrival on what was a quite time for breakfast after a bad experience that morning. On leaving the dining room both mornings the ques were long waiting to enter. Collapse
