Having arrived at the hotel late in the evening, was welcomed by Wendy who made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately we did have a problem with the shower in our room, which was extremely inconvenient as we needed to be away early the next morning. I can only say that with anything in life there can be problems but it is the way they are dealt with that can make a difference. Bradley, the duty manager, and Wendy on front desk did their upmost to rectify the situation, and when this could not be done, they then tried to still make us feel important. We look forward to coming to see you again very soon. Would highly recommend. Collapse

Fantastically finished facilities; executive rooms/spa and restaurant and super staff! This was our second stay and I was fortunate to receive the first one from the rewards scheme - I knew I would receive a fantastic experience based on my event successes First stay was no fault of the staff but wasn't as fantastic as our last stay. The gesture of our second stay was certainly enough to compensate. However, Brandshatch P H&S made our stay exceptional. Spacious room with stunning country views, spa was spot on, our dinner was delicious and the breakfast was still making us spoilt for choice. I am Gluten Free and this wasn't an issue for dinner or breakfast. And to top it of the staff all remember us from our previous stay and made us feel very welcomed! Cannot wait to visit again. I came here for afternoon tea, it was absolutely amazing, the setting was beautiful, the restaurant wasn't too hot the air conditioning was lovely. Me and my friends liked the fact that there was so many different teas to choose from, and having all the different teas on the table to smell was nice. The table was very nicely set up. The presentation of the food was great, and the waitress explained what every thing was, we couldn't eat it all, so the lady boxed it up for us, which was good. We all had a very good time, and will definitely recommend the restaurant to our friends and family. Well done to the staff, and the great service you give, you made us feel so welcome, especially Laura and Casey. Will definitely come again soon! Collapse

Lovely hotel great setting - they need to keep up with the general maintenance and housekeeping so it is fitting with the star rating at all times. My company used the boardroom and there were stains on the table cloth from the previous night as they had a booking from a 'Hen Night' the previous night? There were champagne stains on the ceiling which hadn't been taken care of and the carpet was dirty and my colleague had to ask them to come and hoover. Is it okay to set up the boardroom with trestle tables. Some of the delegates had to straddle table legs to sit comfortably? The course hospitality was fine but a bit stingy - very tiny pastries and biscuits for the breaks. We had to ask them for napkins and side plates at every turn as these did not arrive with the hospitality and soft drinks were not included in the lunch! My hotel room was of a great standard and very clean, with a very comfortable bed but there was a very odd smell in the room that they had tried to mask with one of those horrid plug in air fresheners which I immediately had to plug out! The connection points were a bit dated (no HDMI socket for the television) but not a big problem. A lovely coffee maker and tea/ coffee / kettle in the room plus a good quality iron in the bathroom there were lots of luxury quality towels good bathroom fittings plus a nice lightweight robe. The air conditioning worked and was most welcome as it was a boiling couple of days. Breakfast was amazing - great quality and fresh ingredients perfectly cooked although they had run out of black pudding (I was the first to breakfast)! Lunch and dinner were of an equally high standard and all allergies and fads were catered for although the portions were very small and allergens not labelled. All the staff we came across were helpful and very pleasant, a credit to the organisation with their 'can do' attitude but attention to detail was often lacking. Didn't get to use the fitness/ spa as this was a business trip. But was advised the treatments were fully booked (weeks in advance) which I guess is a good sign. I did take a lovely walk in the morning. Reception have maps of routes to take and this was one of the highlights of the trip. Collapse

We booked a Classic Double room last minute, and upon arrival, the lady at reception said she could upgrade us to an Executive Double room. The hotel looks to have undergone some renovation work, and it's now a bit of a maze; getting from our room to the pool took navigating about half a dozen doors. The spa looks modern; the equipment looks new, the lockers in the changing room require you to enter a pin to lock (rather than carry a key), the pool was nice to relax in (though a little shallow for me), the jacuzzi pool was cosy for two couples to sit in, loved the shower next to the steam room, the steam room was relaxing and a relief with all the pollen, while the sauna was a little too much for me. The room itself was pleasant if a little warm. The windows only opened a little - guessing because it was a second-floor room - and this meant a disturbed night. Our room was at the back of the original house and overlooked a raised patch of grass that looked like it would be used for wedding photos. With this in mind, it seemed odd that the bathroom blind didn't reach the bottom of the window. The lower window was frosted, but if you opened it, you got a nice view of the grassed area (and people could see back too). We were on a Bed and Breakfast rate, and usually get a picnic to eat in the room, but this time we thought the dinner sounded too good to miss. At £30 we expected good things. The starters were very nice and had a lot of flavours. Sadly, the main course was a bit of a letdown. My Pork Wellington looked like a piece of sausage roll, while my better halves ballotine of chicken resembled two pieces of grilled chicken, and we sat for five minutes thinking more vegetables would arrive. I know it's a health spa and its presentation was definitely nouvelle cuisine, but when we left and saw lamb shank from another event, we ended up driving to a supermarket for the picnic anyway. In contrast, breakfast was great. The continental buffet had a nice selection, as did the cereal, and they even had a separate area for gluten free. My haddock and poached eggs cooked to perfection. For both meals, the staff were great. The hotel is less than a kilometre from Brands Hatch, with the M20 between them, and while the motorway noise isn't so bad, you can definitely hear the motorsports, which may put some off. But it is a pleasant enough hotel, with plenty of attractions within easy drive Collapse
