Upon arrival on Nov. 6, we (my Best Girlfriend and I) were met by a lovely gentleman at the front desk who provided exceptional service and helped us find a nice restaurant to dine in once we were settled in that night and gave us a map and directions to other sights. Our rooms were small (it's Italy, not Canada or the US), but clean and accommodating. No, the towels are not plush and there are no washcloths (again, it's Europe, so don't expect them), but I purchased one while out on the town which served that purpose, and all was good in the world. Hussein was extremely helpful all of the following days, booking train tickets and calling taxis for us, as well as recommending 'local' places to visit, while providing excellent customer service. The breakfast area is small, but the idea is for you to get in, get some expresso and a quick bite, and get out to see all that Roma has to offer, not sit in a breakfast room for hours... After the first day, we ventured out to other bakeries and coffee shops for breakfast, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is within walking distance to everything i.e., Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, etc. Overall, I would recommend staying here, as it is clean and in a safe and quiet location, yet located in the middle of everything. Thanks Hussein and Team for a great holiday! Collapse

Yes we did stay at the Boutique Hotel Trevi, the rooms were lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful, I must mention the Front Office Manager, Hussein, he was so helpful wonderful gentleman. The Buffet Breakfast, included in the price, had a nice selection of Breads, Yoghurt, Cereals, cold meats Coffee and Tea, and Fruit Juices. Highly recommend this Hotel, so close to the Fountain of Trevi and the centre of Rome. Lots of little shops and places to eat only metres away. Very enjoyable. Collapse

Our room (602) was not what we expected from a 4 (?) star hotel. It needs a thorough cleaning and total maintenance. The shower leaked out onto the floor quite badly. The sink was very plugged up. Towels are threadbare, not a nice, thick terrycloth towel you would expect. No washcloths, which I understand you sometimes don't get in Europe, but I think all of the nicer hotels now offer them. The table lamp was scotch-taped together and didn't turn on. The balcony was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was nice. The best thing this hotel has going for it is it's close proximity to the Trevi Fountain, but in doing research, there are others in the area to choose from. Collapse

The location of the hotel is in the middle of everything. Please notice that the hotel is classified as "4 star", so we had expected a slightly higher standard. We had booked the quadruple room for 5 nights. There was only two mugs and no Nescafe. Next morning we asks the reception for more Nescafe, and there was two put portions of Nescafe in the room when we returned in the afternoon. The rest of the stay the Nescafe was not supplemented. I know this is a detail, but we paid more than EUR 1.500 for our stay, so why not supply the room with some Nescafe? Also the mugs are not replaced or cleaned. The lipstick marks stayed day after day. Beware that the breakfast room only have seating for about 20 persons, so there is often a queue waiting to be seated. The staff is doing a great job, but the breakfast is rather poor, and the quality is low. The staff in the reception are polite are doing a good job, but they do for example not have any Nescafe, they can give you, if there isn't any on you room. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but this was due to the location of the hotel. Collapse

We have just returned home after a month in Europe so have only just had a chance to write a review. Firstly let me express our gratitude to John Franco, the manager, for his kindness and help whilst we were in Rome. On arriving in Rome our previously booked hotel fell through but John Franco not only helped us out by finding a room at his venue, he did everything in his power to ensure our stay was exactly what we needed. Not only did he race out after us when were were walking in the wrong direction ;), he packaged up the suits that we left behind and helped courier them on to the UK for us (yes we had an eventful stay ;)). The venue was only 100m from the Trevi fountain......I didn't realize truly what this meant...I'd seen the fountain many times....with thousands of other tourists battling with selfie sticks etc.....believe me when you are only 100m away, and you're jet lagged, you can slip out at dawn and just sit and breathe it in. There is NOTHING like sitting at the Trevi fountain a dawn with not a soul there.....beautiful.... The rooms were lovely clean and stylish (we were in one of the externally placed rooms), the location was great, but to be honest it isn't a room/location that makes a holiday memorable, it's the people. Thank you John Franco....from your Aussie friends Collapse
