As a regular user of the Marriott this is by far my worst experience of the chain to date. Stayed on several occasions due to business appointments in area. On each occasion I experienced a problem of one kind or another. The standard rooms are shabby and dated with poor attempts at repairing damages walls (see photos). The hotel is badly affected by outside noise whether from the roadworks to the rear of unacceptable noise from delivery lorries for an hour from 5am. I contacted reception to attempt to rectify this but this proved fruitless. The changing rooms for gym/spa are unhygienic and badly need attention. The only real positive to note is the breakfast staff who are friendly attentive and provide excellent food options. Collapse

I stayed for two days at the marriot hotel for my sons wedding. The hotel and wedding reception were fine,it was at checkout that the problem occured.I paid my bill, but found the member of staff was rude and just rushed as if she was in a hurry to do something else. She hardly listened to anything i said ,and as a small surprise i requested to pay my sons bill.Again she seemed more concerned with something else and didnt listen to my request properly. She produced a receipt for my sons room, which i gave him before leaving. To my surprise he spoke to me two days later ,telling me that the bill had appeared on his statement. This made me feel rather let down, and if this type of service is the norm,i will not be using this hotel again Collapse

One of my mums friends was adamant she wanted to take 3 of us to say thank you for afternoon tea at Marriott hotel, Bexleyheath... much to myself trying to persuade her not to pay so much money but as said she was adamant. I made the booking, however when we turned up no one took any notice of us, never asked if they could help, then again there was only one staff member in the bar area and he wasn't there a lot! When he cane back in I said I had made a booking, however he said there was only one booking at 3.30 not our 2.30 booking slot. I showed him the confirmation email From the manager, whom evidentially had left the day before! My mum friend then said she had spoken to a girl 2 days prior to our booking, to ask for a few extras... unbeknown to us. The guy said he would seat us and make up the table and would go and get the girl whom my mum friend had spoken to. She did come by about 5mins later, to say yes everything was in hand, even though our booking wasn't showing! It then went from bad to worse. The table being made is consisted of heavy white plate, cup and basic cutlery. We then had to go and find the guy again to ask for our cups of tea, this took 10mins then the tea pots came in red stainless steel pots... really yes!! The afternoon tea holder and items took 20mins, even though the girl said the special instructions were ready and in hand! The afternoon tea holder was stainless steel with thick white plates. My mum friends special instructions, were that there was fruit in between all 3 layers of the afternoon tea layers, but all there was, was one strawberry cut into 4 and a few grapes on top layer. The crockery, service ambience is beyond a joke. Go to m&s or your local bakery Truly the worse venue I have been and to my mums friends upset at costing £100... hurrendous Collapse

Stayed overnight Bank Holiday Monday for a meeting on Tuesday morning. On arrival found what appears to be new modetn hotel in middle of Bexleyheath with attached multi storey car park as part of their complex. The car park is run by third party company, hotel guests pay £7 per 24hrs versus £24, but make sure you provide reception with your car registration because the fine is £100. reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Room (201) is large, clean with a large screen smart television that I could connect my Samsung S8 phone up to and play all my media. The in room wifi was also very fast and reliable. All staff in the bar and the restaurant were very friendly in a good way and efficient. I had an evening meal in the in house restaurant "cast iron". The menus was based around a steakhouse scenario. Food was hot, fresh and very tasty. again service excellent. Breakfast was good with very good quality ingredients and selection. Breakfast is difficult wherever I go in the world breakfast generally tends to be the same. This is buffet scenario so if you want you can be in and out in 20 mins or when you have more time a more leisurely meal. I didn't get out of the hotel to explore but hotel seems to be on high street with a number of facilities next door, pub, supermarket and multiplex cinema. There is a pool and leisure complex within this hotel. If I need to stay in Bexleyheath I would have no hesitation staying at this Marriott. Collapse

I use this (or rather used to) car park when I visit Bexleyheath but just recently have received 2 parking fines from Parking Eye who run the carpark One fine I had was refunded (with a deduction for admin charges!!), without proof of purchase - they checked the machine so the following weekend I parked on the same floor, used the same ticket machine and this time kept the ticket. A week or so later I received a parking fine. I appealed sending in proof of my fee that was clearly issued within the time frame they said I hadn't paid for and my appeal was turned down. How this can be so I have no idea. I will NOT be using Marriot carpark again and not will a good many others Collapse
