We've stayed here several times as it is most convenient for family visits, and we have always had positive experiences...this time was no different. We've noticed that the rooms are starting to look a little 'tired' and dated, but the overall comfort was good and we had everything we needed. As usual, all the staff we came into contact with were very helpful. We had a slight issue with Room Service not answering the 'phone, but when I went to Reception to order some food, they were most apologetic and said that it was the busiest time of the day and the hotel was completely full....it was however worth the wait as the food delivered was excellent: wonderful fish & chips, the best onion rings I've ever tasted, and a delicious sticky toffee pudding:) Breakfast on both mornings was also good....a range of choices, and the cooked food was hot. Excellent scrambled egg, always a good sign:) Parking was a slight issue: the first day we arrived and parked easily in the hotel car park. However, on the second evening when we returned late, the car park was full and we ended up having to park on the slip road. However, we do understand that this hotel is in the centre of Bexleyheath, and it is unrealistic to expect them to have a parking space available for every guest, just in case. There are other car parks nearby, and you just have to accept that you may not be able to park right outside, it's really not the end of the world:) Overall, a good hotel, reasonably priced for it's convenient position, and with excellent facilities...we shall continue to stay here:) Collapse

My friend and I went for a spa day at this hotel, which consisted of use of the spa facilities, car parking, a 30 minute massage and a 15 minute facial and a glass of prosecco. The place was very nice and the staff were very friendly. We felt relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the treatments. The pool and jacuzzi were a lot smaller than I expected them to be, but we still enjoyed using them and meant my number of lengths went up dramatically ;) We had to pay £5 to borrow a robe, towel and slippers. This is not a deposit, you don't get that back, that's how much it costs to loan them. That said, I woudl probably pay it again if we went again as it is easier and cheaper than buying your own. All in all, a nice relaxing few hours. Collapse

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a friend's birthday party in the area. Upon arrival there was no where to park our car as the car park was full. We had to park in an area marked no parking, whilst we got ourselves into the hotel. When we checked in we were advised there was an event on and the parking would become easier later on. Check in was very straight forward, with very friendly staff. The room was very spacious and very clean, albeit a bit cold. There was heating in the room, but you only seem to have two options, cold or hot. We went to the bar for some food before we headed out. Again the staff were very friendly and service was good. Food was good value for money. Did find over £4 for a bottle of water was a bit overpriced though. Had we known it was that expensive we would've opted for tap water. When we returned after the party we found a space in the car park, which was lucky as it was still very busy. At £7 for the stay there aren't that many spaces and it seems to be a bit hit and miss if you get parked. Breakfast was very good. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff dealt with it and it didn't take too long to get seated. Check out was again very quick and easy. Again the staff were very friendly. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Just the issue with parking took away the full 5/5 mark. Collapse

I have stayed here twice in the last few month and have enjoyed both my visits. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and I enjoyed the room service breakfast menu immensely. I never used the leisure facilities but it was a very busy hotel so I assume they have several leisure members. Parking was straightforward and it is a short walk into the hotel foyer. All the staff are friendly to a fault and I wanted for nothing. What I enjoyed the most was the feeling of 'old world' opulence in the rooms and room service. I travel extensively and rarely do I find staff so attentive. I have one gripe and that is that I had to cut my 2nd trip short and the hotel were unable, to offer me a refund or the ability to carry my dates over. I understood I booked on a non- flexible rate through a 3rd party but reception were very unhelpful, even though I am a Marriott member and home emergencies cannot be helped sometimes. Holiday Inn are far more flexible in the event of emergencies. As someone who spends most of the year in hotels, I do appreciate some flexibility although I accept I did book the wrong rate. It happens. I'm not leaving a bad review in light of this as it is a great hotel. There is a Holiday Inn 5 minutes away though! Collapse
