I stayed 2 nights here using Marriott points in November. I was upgraded to an Executive Suite on the 12th floor. The room was very sleek and clean. Although, I did not interact much with the staff during my stay, those who I did come in contact with were very polite and professional, particularly the valet and door staff. The executive lounge is on the ground floor. However, it requires a key card to access. So it does keep people from running in and out of there. Though it was a bit cold at the time of my visit, the pool area looked really nice with plenty of seating around it. Overall, this hotel is great if you are looking for a quieter location in LA. Beautiful and much less busy than the massive options downtown like the JW LA Live. My only issue with it is that it is located just slightly off the beaten path from Beverly Blvd, Rodeo Dr., etc. Collapse

When I am charged full service prices, I want a full service hotel. The restaurant and bar have been closed for months. I could not get a drink or a "real" meal, as the meals served for room service are boxed lunches and seem to be reheated type food and not freshly prepared. While the rooms are lovely and well appointed for Marriott, the beds comfy, everything clean, and the concierge room well equipped for breakfast, but serves the same snack every night (little pigs in blanket and pork buns) --the lack of dining options are not what I expect from the Marriott brand. The front desk staff was embarrassed, said many bar and restaurant staff had been laid off, and that no one could figure out why they had to close the bar and restaurant when all they were doing was updating the menu. They sent me to Mr. Cs, about three blocks away which had a nice bar and good bar food. However, as a single person traveling, I like convenience--I want to eat a hot, fresh meal either in the hotel restaurant or in my room after a busy day, and I also want to be able to get a grown up cocktail of my choosing and not be forced to walk in the dark to another hotel. When will the restaurant be open? I travel twice a month to Beverly Hills area, I prefer Marriott as a Lifetime Platinum and Platinum, but this hotel is not working for me. Collapse

i have stayed in this property probably 6 times, maybe more. staff very friendly. rooms are predictably clean, well managed in terms of amenities, bed comfortable, all the items in the hotel work. a few issues anyone staying here should note: quietest rooms are in the back, not on Beverly Dr, and certainly away from Pico side. Internet works, but we had some trouble with a Macbook, but they had help for us to get it working. Internet speed is fine. A nice breakfast is included. Parking: they have self-park, but the valet is not much more and very convenient, albeit not cheap. for those not experienced with LA: closest freeway access from this hotel is robertson for I-10 going west, as to the airport. if going downtown, you can enter either at robertson or off National at Manning, going up the hill, where there is a convient ramp. coming from the airport, if you don't know the roads, get off at robertson and head north to Pico, head west (left) to Beverly. access to LACMA: either via Pico, heading north in Fairfax, or use Olympic. Nearby, Pico just a block south of Olympic is Little Ethiopia, with wonderful restaurants. Many restaurants in the area, especially if you go down Pico to the east. walk if possible, as parking is not easy at times. Collapse
Nice hotel, friendly staff- but parking is an absolute ripoff.

In town for business near Beverly Hills I booked the Marriott and it's a nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was nice with a decent view of the LA skyline. Neighborhood is nice, I was surprised to see a ton of kosher restaurants nearby. Good for me was also a nearby Office Depot, CVS and Supermarket. On the down side, the restaurant was under repair and there was no place to eat in the hotel. On the very down side, is parking. Parking is ONLY by valet AND you get to pay over $40/day for the privilege of losing 5-10 minutes every time you want to go somewhere. Not wanting to wait for my car through the valet, In my rush I often grabbed one of the taxis waiting outside. When I complained to the front desk about the high price charged for daily parking I was told the rate was as good as any of the other hotels nearby. At the time I took it at face value but after some checking found the other hotels charged closer to $30/day- and that- for self parking. Nothing against the valet drivers but the fact is they are expecting tips. This is LA, if I'm staying in a hotel I don't want to have to tip someone every time I want to use my car- AND lose time doing it. Had I known about the exorbitant parking rates I never would have booked with them. At the very least- I wouldn't have rented a car and just taken a cab or uber/lyft during the stay. Collapse

Pleasant enough hotel with all the usual amenities you expect. Location was perfect for walking to Rodeo Drive, taxi to West Hollywood and local bus to Santa Monica pier. Rooms are modern, clean and the bed is comfortable. Ensuite bathroom is adequate for a short stay. All up a good hotel at a good price point for visiting LA. Collapse
