Spent the first 5 days in May at this hotel. It had been owned by Crown Plaza before bought and renovated by Marriott. The rooms are adequate in size and quite comfortable. The king-size bed was typical Marriott -- quite comfortable and plush. It is so obvious that Marriott must have used a designer because there were so many practical touches. My wife loved the comfortable divan in the room. On each side of the bed were nightstands with lamps and clock with multiple USB ports and there were additional USB outlets on the side of the nightstand. Noteworthy in the bathroom were the sliding doors to the bathroom and the shower. The shower also had a seat. Just with a tiny nudge these doors could be moved easily. The doors were very sturdy on well made tracks. We both remarked that we have never seen such perfect sliding doors. The flush to the toilet reminded us of the ones on airplanes -- an instant swoosh. The lighting was quite bright and there were 2 mirrors for convience. Most important, there was a higher toilet seat as required in accessible rooms. Instead of an enclosed closet, they cleverly used space so you could still hang clothes and have drawers. We had an accessible room so we are not sure that all rooms present like this. The morning breakfast and the late afternoon snacks in the Concierge room were delicious. The outdoor pool was ample in size and there were plenty of chaise lounges around the pool. The fitness room is adequate for a short visit but I have seen better equipment at other Marriotts. Staff were quite pleasant and helpful. The location is a 10-minute walk from Rodeo Dr. Collapse

We were a large group there for a conference. Over 100 of us looking for late work night night caps, but the bar refused to stay open past 11p on Friday and Saturday nights. The front desk said there was no mgr on duty. Rooms are very comfy and location is a mere short walk to Rodeo Drive. Collapse

My teen son wanted to be a tourist in the Beverly Hils/West Hollywood area. I did not want to stay in a place that was over-the-top prices, or a cheaper place in a bad neighborhood. This Marriott was a good in between. It was still overpriced for what I normally pay in other areas ($275 per night!) but everything in this area is overpriced so I just went with it. Location was central to the things we wanted to see like Santa Monica Pier (15-20 minute drive), Petersen Auto Museum on Wilshire, and Griffith Observatory. Not much within walking distance however. Very modern styled place with boutique feel. We had a room with two double beds. It was a smallish room adequate for two people, but I cannot imagine staying here with a family of 4. LOVED - the beds were most comfortable I've slept in for a while! LOVED - room styling and wall-length couch. Room service food was really good, a tad over priced, and have a few glitches they need to work out since they forgot our order one morning (but they did rectify this by comping us our meal). We did NOT like the slider bathroom door since you could see around the edges of it (it was not shut like a reg. door, but rather a bard style sliding exterior door over the opening - not private). Could have used a few more towels in the room too. Our tv was not connected when we checked in, so my son had to crawl on the floor to hook it up. Liked the downstairs restaurant, but again a few kinks with the service. LIked the grab and go food/sundry store in the lobby which was very convenient at times. Pool area and fire pit were also nicely done. Door men were very helpful to us too in helping us with transportation (relied primarily on Lyft cars). Would stay here again. Mgmt was attentive. I found the hotel really nice, to me it was well located. the bed was comfortable and also has a nice bathroom. The breakfast was nice, and also offered a variety of yogurth and berrys. If I happen to travel again to LA I would go again.
