Me and my partner travelled down from Newcastle, after the long drive we arrived at the hotel, went to check in it was a fast easy check in however the receptionist was very rude (grumpy not talkative at all) Got the code for the car park which was the tightest car park I have ever seen. One two occasions we had to have help to direct us in and out the space. The car park is fine if your a small car so anyone who has a big or long car I wouldn’t recommend you park your car there at all. Our room was nice but very small. We booked a cosy double and boy wasn’t it cosy. We called reception to see if it was possible to upgrade room, we were told the hotel was full but never saw anyone else thought out our whole stay. We ordered room service for our first morning for breakfast. We filled out our order card and hung it on the door the night before as instructed. The next morning we were waiting for our food to come and nothing came we looked out side the room and the card hadn’t been taken, called reception to be told they had forgotten to take it. The first breakfast we had was cold by the time it came to the room. The breakfast on the second morning was nice and had everything you would want in the buffet section. The main issue we had was when we showed our fire alarm went off this happened three times (it was due to the steam the shower was giving off) reception called and said just keep the windows open which was fine but it was freezing, and the heater in the room didn’t give off much heat, We went out for the day and came back to shower again. We spoke reception this time to see if the problem had been fixed for them to reply that they had forgotten to send anyone out and there resolution was to shower with the temp on cold. When we were leaving the hotel to check out there was brand new extractor fan outside our room which we assume was going to be fitted for the next people. Why couldn’t that of been fitted whilst we were out on the day we started to have the issues.? Our tea and coffee hadn’t been replace again called to asked for some and had to call twice before someone came to drop some off for us. During the night the noise in the hotel was very loud. You can hear people shower and walk about etc. a lot of noise very early morning. Our overall stay was nice it was handy for what we were doing however I feel it’s just the little things that would of made our stay perfect. Probably wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. Collapse
I dont know where to start it was poor

From the start reception were not exactly welcoming. And what spooked me was the sort of Royston Vasey quality about the place., which continued for the rest of the stay! First the room...we needed a Sherpa to get up there. We are both quite mature but it was a major task to get our mahoosive case up to our room--no help was offered. Then when we got to the room the case was bigger than the room (artistic licence here but let me develop) . The room was a single with a double bed...obviously as moving a round the room was like solitaire I had to stand in the bathroom or landing so my wife could move round the room (she is a size 8 by the way). We paid for a superior double by the way. The photos on the website were not our experience --the room was pants. The room was decidedly seedy and not clean. We used a whole pack of antiseptic wipes cleaning the surfaces before we would stay there. However the bathroom was tired and tatty but clean, the hotel as a whole was depressing and had no atmosphere. The bar was always empty and uninviting. I would not have had an evening meal there if you paid me. The breakfast buffet selection was minimal but nice, the cooked breakfast was poor. the service was adequate but lacked any involvement/friendliness. Then there was the parking---a dodgy and small rear space at 18 quid per day...paid it as I am sure parking in Windsor is tight....but really increases your nightly stay by 18 quid. Would NEVER stay there again.. Has the feel of an hotel that was doing well once...maybe a family concern...but now second/third generation are not coping well. Collapse
High price, average hotel

Happened to visit when there was a conference so we didn't receive the best of service. Our included breakfast was continental. We were told that the restaurant was closed for dinner because of the conference but after some words with the head of staff she agreed to take an order from us. Hotel needs refurbishing even some new carpet would make a big difference. Small double bedroom was exactly that, though the bathroom was quite nice. Had to pay extra for car park as car parks are scarce on the street. Collapse

The staff are lovely ! The hotel a complete dump !! Dated 'scruffy' dark dingy place. Website pictures do not in anyway reflect the current state of this hotel. The plus side is the lovely staff. I genuinely felt sorry for the lady on reception greeting people to what surely will be a dissapointment. Breakfast ( again lovely staff ) however. ... You are asked to choose you breakfast from the menu and in the meantime help yourself to fresh fruit , cereal etc as is the norm. Half way through your weetabix is a lady pushing your 'hot' food infront of you ! Unbelievable. The eggs were snotty !!!!!!!!!! And the mushrooms were TINNED ! cheap cheap cheap !!! Sorry lovely friendly staff ........ You are wasted ! The double glazing DOES NOT soundproof the noise of Heathrow's MAIN flight path, every 40 seconds ish , bloody massive jumbo directly above you. This noise is from half five in the morning till ten thirty at night !!!!!!!!!! I am not exaggerating when I say this, it was horrific. This is the worst place ever and would not recommend to anyone. Dreadful ☹️ Collapse

I loved my stay here at the weekend. Room was clean, tidy, comfortable. Breakfast was superb . I had the omelette. Customer service exceptional throughout my stay. I took off one mark as I purchased a bottle of sparkling water and it was nearly £4 .
