Our first hotel room was actually intended for 4 people. There was no view from the room, so we asked to change. Apparently a clerical error meant that we had been put in a family room! We were able to change to a double room with a view, with minimum of fuss. Comfortable room, pleasant surroundings and food good value. On one of our days we went to the Bure Railway, well maintained station and shop, although we didn't ride on the train, the timetable didn't fit in with our itinerary. Blickling Hall, fantastic gardens (azaleas) and interesting house. Felbrigg Place great entertainment from an escaped bull in a nearby field of cows! We also had time to drive northwards and see the coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham. A busy day out with three attractions, we managed to fit in our visits between the ever present threat of showers. Collapse

I stayed here last week for 2 nights while on business. The rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable. I ate in the restaurant several times for lunch and evening meal, each time the food was excellent and extremely reasonably priced. I was particularly impressed with the club sandwich which came with a beautiful salad and tasty chips. The waiting staff were polite and helpful as was the bar staff. Unfortunately my company had forgotten to book me in for the Wednesday night stay and when I discussed the issue with the receptionist she couldn't have been more helpful. Being a workman and needing to wash before heading home to Scotland she allowed me access to a room so I could get cleaned. I was so impressed at her can do attitude and the service I received from her was the best I've had around the country. Thank you. Definitely a hotel I would book to go to with my family in the future if we are down that way. Collapse

Me and the hubby stayed here for our nieces wedding a couple of weeks ago. We live locally but thought why the hell not, lets splash out so we can have a drink. We were checked in by the very lovely Hollie, she went way above her pay grade for us I'm sure. There was a couple of issues with our room, mainly the stairs as my hubby struggles to walk and we were on the second floor. Hollie upgraded us to a suite as it's the only ground floor room available, she also had to clean the room herself which whilst we waited we were offered a free drink! She was really lovely from start to finish, also whilst helping other members off staff from what we could see. The suite was absolutely lovely, it was ideal for us with the living space separate. We weren't expecting such a nice room so it was a lovely bonus. Clean, and all the amenities we needed. We had dinner in he restaurant, I had Salmon and hubby had the steak, it was superb. Excellent service from Rebecca. Breakfast, although a little pricey at £8.95 was lovely .. all we could ask for, and more. I really loved the jams! to our surprise, Hollie also served us on the Friday morning, her customer service was amazing, catering to my hubby's dietary requirements as much as she could. I can't wait to come back, and this time we will book a suite. Our wedding anniversary is in July so hoping to book in again real soon. Collapse

My friends daughter was getting married at the hotel so my wife and I decided to have a few nights break at the same time We booked one of the suites and found it to be very comfortable and perfect for our needs The staff were great on the whole and the food we had was all fine There was a sign up in reception advising that music will be played till midnight To be fair it did stop at midnight and it didn't bother us in our room anyway The wedding itself went well and everyone enjoyed the day I had a few niggles which were just that, niggles. Upon arrival we were given poor direction to the room. After a ten hour journey we would have appreciated a hand with our luggage and being taken to the room The toaster at breakfast only did two slices at a time which was a little inconvenient The fridge in our room was noisy at times All in all five happy nights and we would happily stay again Collapse

Went for a weekend break, near enough to the city but just far enough to be nice and quiet. Lovely room that was not the usual "corporate cube". Good bar, good restaurant and the staff were excellent too.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel on a short break to visit the local area. The breakfast was advertised as 'Full English' and I would say it was an excellent 'FULL English' - sausages, bacon, beans, fried bread, fried potato etc etc even my favourite - black pudding! :-) The room itself was clean and comfortable with all I needed plus a daily refresh of the bathroom towels and toiletries. The free wi-fi was a reasonable speed with plenty of places in the room to locate the laptop for comfortable use. Enjoyed some drinks at the bar but except for breakfast, did not have any meals so can't comment on the experience, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Collapse
