My wife and I had two nights in one of the King suites this week. This is a charming hotel locate a few miles away from the city centre. Reception was very welcoming, and we found all staff went out of their way to please us. The room was very nice and opened to look out on a fine Scottish Garden with a table and two chairs. We started both days sitting out in this patio and planning the day after breakfast and found it very tranquil, so quiet, and a few squirrels running around made for some entertainment. Breakfast was lovely and very personal service, as was dinner. Lochardil House exceeded our expectations in every way and we strongly recommend it. Collapse

I stayed in a single room which was very well designed and with great décor. The en suite shower and toilet were a very good size. The breakfast was a buffet but there was a very good choice including Venison sausages. The service and welcome were great and the duty manager even agreed to take a picture of me. Reasonable value at £135 for one night B & B. The area where the hotel is situated is quiet so there is little or no traffic noise at night. Collapse

My wife and I changed logistics on our 30th Anniversary trip and needed to find a decent hotel in Inverness for a few days...unfortunately it was the August tourist frenzy AND the week of the local Highland Games festival. So like I suspect many Americans, I was a little apprehensive about booking a Best Western for several nights of a once and a lifetime trip. I'm so glad we did though! From the moment we walked in these people have been the most warm and genuinely inviting we've ever encountered in our travels. They go out of their way to ask if they can do anything more and to a person are always quick with a smile. I had mentioned in our booking thru Expedia that we were on our Anniversary and when we arrived there was a nice bottle of bubbly waiting and literally every staff member we met for two days congratulated us on our anniversary and asked if they could help make it more special. I work in the hospitality industry and am inundated with customer reviews/suggestions...which we appreciate in helping us improve...so I'm most happy to be able to provide a 100% glowing recommendation for these folks. Nice clean rooms, good local food and the nicest people you will find anywhere. Thanks for making our stay memorable in a way we would never have imagined with your exemplary service and hospitality! This was our first visit to Scotland and one that we will remember. We were fortunate to book the hotel for 2 evenings. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and efficient receptionist who could not have been more helpful. We were staying in room 34 in the Garden Rooms. On entering the room we were surprised how big the room was and even more surprised at the quality and size of the en-suite bathroom. The room and bathroom cleanliness was excellent. We have travelled to many counties and this is probably the best suite that we have had. We decided to dine in the hotels restaurant on our first evening having travelled most of the day. We were not disappointed by the quality of the food, environment and service. It was so good that we decided to invite friends for the following evening who were staying at another hotel in Inverness. They were also very impressed at the hotels qualities and surrounding with the hotel being situated in a magnificent building and grounds. I was unfortunate on our day of leaving to require emergency dental treatment. I approached the receptionist at 9-40 am to seek help . Without hesitation they contacted a local dentist and I had an appointment for 10-00 am. I asked for the address, but they insisted that I followed their car. I am so very gratefully for this. This was more than any guest could expect and saved me a lot of trauma. Thank you. All of the staff are very happy and this reflects in the way that they interact with staff. Nothing was too much of a problem. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would be happy to answer any questions . Collapse
