I had booked this trip as a birthday present for my boyfriend, both of us had never been to Prague so we were a little dubious as to what to expect. However we were pleasantly surprised. I booked Hotel Pav as part of a city break package with Jet2. Just to make you aware of you make this booking there are no hotel transfers including so you have to arrange your own - I booked mine through Prague Airport Transfers Ltd. I would really recommend them, not badly priced and spot on with pick up times, professional and smartly dressed. They also provided water, a small city map and a tour good booklet! The transfer to the hotel took around 30mins. Our hotel was based just outside the city but it was evident there was still plenty of places to provide us with entertainment. We checked in, another warning - make sure you have either your credit/debit card that you made the booking with as they ask for the card to confirm your details and as a guarantee. Unfortunately the guys who were in front us ended up paying £300 as they didn't have the original card (but they were getting it back the next morning). So just in case if you dont want to get caught out... We were given our room key, balcony key and air conditioning remote (to my fellas delight). We were on the top floor in room 509. Once we opened the door we couldn't believe our eyes! This room had two floors! The bottom floor had our amazing double bed, flat screen tv, tea and coffee facilities, an amazing shower room and sink including hair dryer and also a seperate toilet and sink. Also a clothes room with a trouser press and large wardrobe with a free safe located within - perfect. The second floor had a single bed and then a door out to the balcony. The balcony was one on its own! We opened the door and it was a roof top terrace! It was absolutely fabulous, we could hear the live local music (this was at 20:00) and a fabulous view of the Prague rooftops and classical buildings. The music playing at 20:00 couldn't be heard in the lower part of the room and we heard no noise at all during our 3 nights stay. It was pure bliss. The room was immaculate, very clean and modern. The only small downside to the hotel was the size of the dining room for breakfast. It wasnt massive and the tables were almost communal, however as a couple we could part a table. There was plenty to eat, it says continental but there was bacon, sausage, eggs etc all on offer. We had a brilliant start to the day and it gave us the energy we needed to make the most of Prague! The hotel was a short 10 min walk to the river. Not too far and it was nice to navigate the winding streets and see some of the beautiful buildings prague hadn't to offer. Oh and another thing! There was a 15kc city tax charge per night per person, something we didn't realise but you just pay at the end on check out. Just another tip so you don't get caught out! We would highly recommend anyone stays here, it made our experience of Prague just that bit more special. Collapse

This hotel is located on the border of Old/New Town. One way it's 5 minutes walk to the nearest tram line and the other way it's about 10 minutes walk to the river. The room we had was amazing. It was on the fifth floor, very spacious with a mezzanine leading to a balcony area and air con. We loved our stay here the only reason I've give it 4 stars is because the reception staff could be a bit more attentive. The man on check in was fantastic and very informative. The issue started when housekeeping forgot to leave towels so we rang down to reception and they told us they were understaffed and we had to go and get them ourselves and put the phone down! Then on check out we waited about half an hour for the key to the baggage cupboard when it had been handed in soon after we got there. Other than that I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone!!! Collapse

We stayed here for 3nights. Very good service; everyone was very helpfull and nice. The rooms are good; big enough, clean and everything you need. Sometimes a bit noisy with the windows open. The location is perfect. We did everything by foot because of the nice weather. Breakfast is very divers; there is something for every person. Nearby the hotel is the most perfect veggie restaurant: Estrella. Dont forget to make a reservation if you want to eat dinner. Collapse

There is a famous restaurant very close, and there was noise coming from the street - probably restaurant guests - till late. If you shut the windows, the room is quiet - there is a space between the double windows of about 12-15 cm, great insulation. The room had good WiFi. Collapse

We stayed overnight with a tour group and our hotel booking was done by tour operator. As soon as we arrived in hotel we realized that there are number of similar tour groups are staying in the hotel and common facilities are not able to cope up with the demand. Hotel has old small lifts which are very slow to move. Within the lifts there are some sensors and if you block the sensors lifts would not move at all. It took about 10 minutes for us to move from lobby to room after waiting for the lift and then struggling to get it moving. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast started at 6 am and from that time restaurant was very crowded and it was difficult get second a serve or coffee from the coffee machine. Breakfast quality was average. Apart from these logistic problems with tour groups, the hotel seems ok and staff members are trying to do their best. Collapse
