The Best Western Mornington Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of London, within walking distance of Lancaster Gate tube station and right opposite Hyde Park. Were also within easy reach of all of London’s best areas for shopping and entertainment, so you really can see London in style! This hotel really is about as regal as you can get, but unlike nearby Buck House, the BEST WESTERN Mornington Hotel is located in the heart of London’s bright lights (not that you'd know it, with the luxurious floor-length drapes that adorn every room).
As hotels go, it’s hard to find a more elegant place to stay. As well as the regal 19th Century pillars (a mark of decadence both then and now), you'll find a range of London’s highlights on your doorstep. The hotel is now even more appealing too, having just undergone a complete refurbishment! Architects have cleverly designed a new look for the hotel to enhance its traditional features while bringing its wonderful accommodation further into the 21st Century!
Large contemporary rooms make rooms at the Best Western Mornington Hotel a superb choice near Paddington Station, opposite Hyde Park in the heart of London. All of our double rooms are fully Air Conditioned and fitted with a Flat screen TV, Laptop Safe, Complimentary High Speed Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms.
The West End is just around the corner, Paddington mainline station/Heathrow Express is a 5 minute walk away, and a number of tempting restaurants can be found in the time it takes to nibble on a Michelin-starred hors doeuvre. Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge too, which makes it even more satisfying to tell your friends back home all about the wonderful time you’re having!

We wanted a day/night in London see the sights and have a meal for our wedding anniversary with a night in the capital. Found this hotel to be a lovely hotel off the main road and just the right size and very relaxing. From the moment we entered the hotel right to the time we went to check out we were looked after. Room was very good value for the money and the bed very comfy. Hotel is 5 minutes from the tube station and not far from bars and restaurants and hyde park. Staff very helpful and made our stay special. Would stay again. Collapse

The hotel is pretty close to Paddington station (10 minute walk), which is convenient for many Underground lines and where the Heathrow Express comes in. It is also extremely close to Hyde Park, which was lovely to stroll through. We got a pretty good deal via a booking website, so it was also quite affordable - even the front desk staff commented on the deal we got. The wifi speed left something to be desired, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall though, we had a good stay. Collapse

This is a mid range hotel that is in a great location between Paddington Station, which is where the Heathrow express comes in, and Hyde park. Only 5 blocks between them all. They stored our luggage at 9 am. In the morning and we walked through Hyde park to Kennsington palace where we took a tour then walked down to Harrods and looked around and ate. Going back you have to be careful it is easy to get confused where the hotel is. A lot of angle streets and I did not pay much attention when we left. They have a great breakfast and a fantastic staff. The rooms were average and not very many electrical outlets, but we got by. There is just a small plaque on the building that says Mornington Hotel but that is it. Easy to miss first time. Would diffinatly go back. Collapse

A nice small hotel located near Lancaster Gate (currently closed for remodeling). Paddington, Queensway, and Bayswater are about a 15 to 20 minute walk away. There are a small number of bars and restaurants nearby. The atmosphere in the lobby is nice with a small bar off to the side and plenty of comfy chairs and couches to sit. They also have a library with a nice variety of books. The library bar is open 7/24 which is great for those coming and going at all hours. Staff is friendly. There is no one working the door so you have to carry your baggage up several steps as there is no ramp. The hotel has a weird layout with split level floors. The place the elevator, hallways, and rooms seem to be a little cramp. I had a single room overlooking the back street and it was a little tight. A review mentioned the bar behind the hotel may make a lot of noise but I did not notice anything from my room on the second floor over my 3 night stay. Since I was only in my room to sleep and shower, it was more than adequate. If you have breakfast included in your stay, go early or late as it can get crowded. I skipped breakfast my first day as the line was long to get in and I wanted to get out to start some sightseeing. The breakfast area is small and may feel claustrophobic but it is bright. The food was good and there is a nice selection of items. I like the small atmosphere of this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Collapse
