My memory of Palm Springs will forever be marked by the horrible experience I had at THIS Best Western. I'm on oxygen and have difficulty walking so I reserved a handicap accessible room. Big mistake, the hotel was under construction for remodeling and my room A102 was right next to it. This meant I had to walk much farther than I would have if they had made me aware of this issue. This is very difficult when you are disabled, SO IF YOU ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR, be aware of this issue. I didn't see any ramps. I also could not believe the noise from what must have been from the water pipes. The hotel had rules that they wanted you to stick to but they didn't help me at all. They made sure that they let you know that if you took anything from the room you would be charged for it. In other words "Don't Steal Anything". I didn't expect little signs reminding me not to steal linens, towels, the items that the lotion and soap were sitting on, and no coolers allowed in the room. It didn't matter that I left a brand new pair of shoes that I need to help with my walking, they said that they weren't found. STOLEN!!!!! I know they were!!! I was wearing my old pair and was busy writing a thank you note to Elvira the housekeeper, that's why I left the new shoes. I was thanking her because she was the kindest person I had any contact with and I wanted to let her know that the hotel needed to get her a footstool to make the beds. She wasn't very tall and the beds are extremely high. I had trouble getting in and out of bed. Another issue that should be looked at when having a handicapped accessible room. I literally had to put two folded towels on the floor to get a boost up onto the bed, every time. The reason I gave it 1 dot(star) was because they had a nice breakfast and that was about the high point. I only stopped in Palm Springs because I thought it would be a great place to see. I'm NEVER going back because I didn't like my experience at THIS Best Western. Thanks Saul!!! Collapse

I found this hotel to be quite comfortable on my solo mini vaca to Palm Springs. Mattress in my accessible room was noticeably more comfortable than expected. Accessible bathroom had very nice roomy lighted shower area with great bench seat, grab bars and multifunction hand shower with high to low position slide bar. Fluffy absorbent towels. Dimmable lights worked wonderfully on lowest position for night light allowing for safe bathroom use without bright lights waking you fully up when using bathroom in middle of night. Pool and spa area surrounded by misters and bougainvillea. Nice but a bit cramped for space. Chaise lounges set elbow to elbow. Gazebo bar had only hotel drink and food service during my stay due to remodeling. Gazebo bartender Shannon friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Palm Springs area offering great visitor tips. Nice complimentary breakfast including delicious made to order omelet. Bring a buck or two to tip the cook. Remodeling work took away some convenient parking spaces and also caused me a problem when checking in after being on the road a few hours and not being able to use a bathroom until I got in my room. The location of this place is excellent & it is economically feasible. I have no major complaints. The breakfasts were excellent! The pool water was too hot in July. It's an older hotel so don't expect modern luxuries.

This is a great location and a great hotel. The pool was nice, there was a bartender making drinks and you could order food, there were lots of lounge chairs, but only a few with shade... it was 122 degree the weekend we went, more shaded options would have been nice. The free breakfast was ok, they had fruit, juice, make your own mini waffles, a person making omelets, cereal, pastries, but the dinning room is kinda small and cramped for the amount of people attempting to eat at the same time. I can't wait to come back and stay again, it was a great value! Collapse
