We were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist. On arrival at the room we were amazed by the size of it. There was nothing at all to complain about as everything was perfect. We booked the Christmas Dinner and also the Full Breakfast on two of the days. I enjoyed the Christmas Dinner and understand that the staff were absolutely rushed off their feet. There were a few minor niggles. My daughter didn't get any Melba Toast with her starter, we didn't get any mince pies with the coffee and my husband said he didn't have enough turkey on his plate but maybe they ran out as there were three sittings for lunch I believe!! The breakfast was very good with a selection of cereals, croissants, yogurts etc. and then the full English Breakfast on top of that. The Hotel is in a perfect position for the Town Centre and also the Beach. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would love to return at some point. Collapse

When turning up to hotel was no one at reception.standing there for 20 mins bell doesn't work.. And then being greated by a rude receptionist can't smile or greet you especially Christmas time... was told that they can take card details and pay on the Friday 30th Dec but couldn't so changed from 4 nights to 2 nights...which I'm probably glad I did..As the last night was so noisy someone banging talking shouting all night threw the early hours of the morning... there is no night manager so can't call anyone as there is no one..God help us if there was a fire..shame really as room was really nice... shame that others ruin it for you... I wouldn't stay here again Collapse

Our family decided to book for Christmas dinner back in October and it was the best decision we made. The place was packed with other diners and the friendly staff worked very hard to accomodate everyone, always making sure that everyone was catered for. The Christmas lunch was absolutely superb and couldn't be faltered. The staff themselves went above and beyond and were lovely to everyone. Would definitely book up to go back again next year. I was really impressed when I booked the hotel back in October as they were courteous and emailed me to let me know there would be a noisy dinner dance going on in the hotel this evening and give me the option of changing my booking. I declined as I was on a night our myself, so didn't think the dance would particularly bother me. On arrival, I was a little surprised to find the reception unmanned, but there was a conveniently placed telephone with a sign to dial 0 for attention. Sadly having done that twice, there was no sign of life, so I had to schlep my belongings into the public bar to ask for someone to come and check me in. It probably, in the end, took about 15 minutes longer than I expected it to. The room itself was beautifully furnished and very clean. it was spacious and had a lovely big television - I was quite sad to only be using it to sleep in! The bathroom was clean and modern and the bed linen was fresh, What was disappointing (despite the check in process, which I was happy to write off to them being very busy with the dance) was that I had ordered an alarm call for 7am which never arrived (I was very lucky I had set a separate alarm), I had a small cheap radio alarm in the room that started going off at some point during the evening and I had no idea how to change or turn it off (it also wasn't at the right time) and finally the room was very cold despite both the radiators being turned up full. All in all, if the hotel could iron out those few little annoyances (any one on their own wouldn't have caused me to write this review) it would be an excellent and highly recommended hotel, it is so very nearly there.
