My friend and I are two students who planned our staying in Amsterdam for almost one week. More than 8 days before our arrival in Amsterdam, my friend had an accident and we were forced to cancel our booking. I immediately contacted the hotel (there was plenty of time to get another booking by some other clients) and I kindly asked them for a partial, or even full, refund in order to book again our trip once my friend will recover. I knew mine was a non-refundable booking but I thought they had humanity or at least kindness. Nothing! I had also the medical report to show that, I asked for a partial refund not to lose all the amount of money spent (we are two students and we have been working hard to gain that money for the trip) thus being able to make another reservation as soon as we know when my friend is able to walk and travel again. You know what? They are not kind, they don't even want to listen to your reasons, they just don't know their cold and freezing policy ("non-refundable, non-refundable, non-refundable"). Then, the end of the story is when we are able to plan again our trip to Amsterdam, we won't go there for sure! Think about my experience, there's no humanity at all in this hotel! I wouldn't advise it to anyone!!! AVOID IT! Collapse

Shabby appearance from outside. Average hotel- nothing special. Room was a nice size but very cold! Hotel reception can adjust heating remotely which they tried to do but it didn't seem to make much deference. Very cold weekend! Old fashioned decor in rooms and not the cleanest. We noticed damp patches on the ceiling, dust on the shelves and a broken handle. It wasn't great but for the price we paid it was expected. We stayed for 2 nights....housekeeping did not come into our room or change towels. We took fresh towels as we walked past the trolley. Hotel offers a breakfast buffet of hot English and continental and evening meal. We didn't try the restaurant- it didn't appeal to us. Breakfast price €10-12.50 depending if you book in advance or not. Vending machines available which was helpful but the bar was not open as advertised. Bus 69 direct to and from the airport. Takes 25-30mins to get to Amsterdam City Centre. Tram stop is 2 minute walk from the hotel. Tram number 7 or 14. Or bus number 21. Cost €20-25 to get a taxi to or from the station. It would be worth paying a little extra and staying closer the City centre. Not a 4* hotel. Collapse

Booked this hotel for yet another trip to Amsterdam. Have previously stayed at Best Western Blue Tower so kinda knew what to expect as they tend to run along the same theme. What I found great about this hotel was it's accessibility. It was a 30-40 minute bus ride away from Schipol Airport, bus number 69 I think and much cheaper to buy a day ticket at 2.50 euros than a taxi ride at 35-40 euros. The buses were very regular and start running from around 5:30am so ideal for an early flight home from 8am onwards. And the bus and tram stop was right outside the hotel. The trams ran quite regular too to get into central Amsterdam. The hotel was basic but adequate. Staff were super friendly, spoke many languages, including English lol. Tea and coffee, milk and sugar stocked up daily and bedding changed daily too. There were 3 of us and the room was a family room with 3 single beds and suited us great. Very clean and tidy. Behind the hotel is a dam full of ducks and geese so my little boy loved this as he could feed them. There's are various eateries in the area, lots of continental food shops, a little shopping centre, everything you would need to stock up during your stay if you're not eating in the hotel. The wifi was good and also you could pay for excursions at the reception like the museums or the zoo. Overall it was a great experience and if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel, this is a great one. It may not be in the thick of things, i.e central Amsterdam but it is good and I would most definitely stay there again. Collapse
Disappointing - definitely not a 4 star hotel!

Not impressed! Mould in the bathroom and had to get moved to a better hotel room and wait for two hours after arrival. Will not return and the area is at least 20 minutes from central Amsterdam and not a very nice area to be walking around.

Hotel nice enough, breakfast buffet style not much to shout home about however staff are helpful unless they want to tidy up! The hotel is a little far out of the centre for us so next time e go we are planning on stopping elsewhere.
