When choosing a hotel for our holiday to Prague, two important factors to us were good public transport links, from the airport, and a central location from which to explore the city. hotel Beseda fitted our requirements, perfectly. The journey to and from the airport was straightforward and easy. Having arrived at the hotel, all our sightseeing was done by foot. We received a warm, professional welcome and check in was quick. Our room was quiet and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. There was only one pillow each, but this was fine for us, as the pillows were of a generous size. The room was serviced, every day, to a high standard, and all the staff we met were friendly, cheerful and kind. We both enjoyed our breakfasts. Each day the selection varied, slightly. As a vegetarian, I felt I had a good choice of food options, and the selection of breads was impressive. If we were to return to Prague, we would happily return to the Hotel Beseda. Collapse

My partner and I stayed here in November. It is a short journey from the airport and is in prime location!! Easy access to the old town, new town and many other attractions. Hotel is clean, always somebody at reception and our room itself was great. We had a poor view of what seemed a derelict building but we weren’t fussed as we weren’t there to stare out the window. Decent sized, modern room. Fridge and tea making facilities. Shampoos/conditioner, body wash, lotion, shower cap & hair tie provided. Hair dryer decent to! Rooms cleaned everyday, fresh towels left everyday to. Bar is great and well priced! Bar staff are lovely, the gentleman was really helpful and was very polite! The only thing I would say is that the breakfast isn’t that great.. It is all foreign food culture (ham, meat slices, veg) the plates for breakfast was sandwich plates so rather small. Milk was also warm, so if you decide to chose cereal over the oriental breakfast be aware the milk won’t be cold. A part from that the hotel was a very pleasant stay!! Collapse

room was small with a sloping ceiling, it felt more like a single room than a double, floor felt a bit tacky like it needed a clean. we had a double bed with two single duvets and the bed was like a brick, considering the walking we done we did not sleep well. shower was hand held which meant the bathroom got very wet as there was nowhere to hang the shower whilst washing, also washing was quite difficult. breakfast was ok, nothing special, apples looked old with wrinkled skin, but much worse most of the crockery was chipped. breakfast room was cramped and noisy and the staff were not well dressed, one in particular had a creased blouse, un kempt hair and her stockings were torn and laddered. the only good thing about the hotel was the location and nothing more, would not recommend it. So disappointed with our stay at the Hotel Beseda. Arrived very late on a Friday night and check-in went well. Was told our room had been "upgraded" from the standard. Our room was two storeys, the top with the bed. Decor was very tired and the aircon didn't work - it got very hot upstairs so we opened the window slightly. That is where the fun and games began... each of the 3 mornings there was the most deafening road works outside our bedroom from 6.30-9.30am. It was unbearable and not what yiu would like for a nice relaxing break. We complained to the Reception staff and received a very rude response - no help whatsoever. Breakfast was below average - quite cold and not very appetising. Prague itself was a beautiful city and I had a fantastic time, just a shame the hotel did not match up to my experience and expectations. Collapse

Great location for sight seeing in Prague. Just near the statue of Franz Kafka. We had a quiet room, although there was building work going on outside this only started around 7.30am when we were waking up anyway, If window was shut could hardly hear it. Comfortable double bed with single duvet each. Breakfast was standard buffet style and served till 10am. Plenty of choice. Did tend to get busy, but not a problem. Bar is open till late and good priced drinks, they also offer pizza and sandwiches. Also there is a Dutch Bar on the same street for food and drinks. You can leave your bags in a locked room on check out day, handy if not leaving the city till late. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Collapse
