We booked a 2 bedroom club room suite for my daughters graduation trip for 2 17 year olds, 2 mum’s in their 40’s and 2 grandmas in their 70’s. This was the perfect place for us. We arrived at check in time of 3 and asked to check in at the club lounge. It was modern and comfortable after a early morning and long flight. Unfortunately our room wasn’t ready until about 4.45pm which was the only disappointing part of our stay. However because we had the club lounge we were able to relax and have some fruit and soft drinks while we waited. Our room was 1805 so didn’t face the towers but looked like it had recently been renovated. We had 2 roll away beds so that the 6 of us could be together. There were 2 full bathrooms and an additional powder room with a basin and toilet which was perfect for us. The hall had a slightly Smokey smell but as soon as we entered our room that disappeared and we didn’t ever smell smoke in our room. The room was very clean and serviced well each day and the added chefs treats each night were yummy. We had breakfast the first morning in the big apple restaurant and every other morning in the club lounge. Other reviews had mentioned that the breakfast catered mostly to asians and I would agree that it had a large Asian range, but we certainly found plenty to eat and didn’t go hungry. The club lounge breakfast was much quieter and beautifully presented food and we never went hungry. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. We also had canapés in the club lounge most evenings and the food was amazing and plentiful. My mum turned 72 while we were there and the hotel provided a beautiful chocolate mud cake delivered to our room for free. One of our group needed a wheelchair and it was provided free of charge for our use while we were there. Nothing was too much trouble. Every time we asked for something it was followed up by a phone call to check we had received it. We booked a van to the airport through the hotel which was pretty expensive but that is to be expected from most hotels. It was on time and new and comfortable so it suited us. Thank you to all the staff and particularly the club lounge staff. We could not have stayed anywhere better for my mums first trip to Malaysia. Collapse

We stayed there for 3 nights and upon arrival, the hotel looks tired and slightly dated, though it's had some Reno done I believe. The room is essentially nice and spacious, but upon closer inspection - telephone cord was not attached to the phone, there was a pool of water in the fridge and not cold, the hot water was not working despite calling 3 times for housekeeping to check. We could have lived with the first 2 points, but with no hot water, that was a real sticking point. We also requested to switch rooms on the first night, but as it was 11pm, the front desk could not do anything about it (really? I seriously beg to differ). Second night rolled around and we faced the same issue with no hot water again, despite the water working fine in the morning. Apart from the unpleasant experience in the room, breakfast is pleasant with nice service. Only draw back is that you walk out smelling like their exhaust as their open stations do not have any exhaust above them and rather, are part of the restaurant with no added ventilation. So do go down in your 'dirty' clothes and change out after. Not sure we'll be giving this brand another try when we return next year. My friends had been there last year(another has been going for the past 10 years) and both also feedback that the standards have dropped. I will not recommend, based on my own experience. Collapse

We stayed at this Hotel for the third time on the 18th November 2017. Our travel agent toldt the hotel that we were returning customers, however that made no difference. We arrived at the hotel approx 10am. The girl at reception said you are early and our room won’t be ready until 12 noon. We went and had some brunch and came back at 12.30pm and said our rooms are still not ready. At approx 1.00pm I saw a manager type person walk by and asked him if could do something, after about 5 minutes we got to our rooms, which was a disgrace, Dirty floors in bathrooms, TV in bedroom did not work, dirty marks all over the walls. On day two no towels or toilet paper was left so we had to ring reception. Not best way to treat returning customers Collapse

Honestly, this is my first stay at this hotel. And it will be the last! I was flying from Kathmandu on 28 Nov, and arrived at the front desk at midnight. Almost 01:00 am. When I checked in, the receptionist said that my booking through online booking was not valid, and didnt reach the reservation. "There is no confirmation email from online booking to our email." Someone with Azwar, or something, told me that. And I said to check it again. But he insisted, and even WITHOUT ANY SMILE! Then, I took the initiative to ask the email address of hotel, and I forwarded my email. He asked me to wait. After about one hour, he called me from the front desk. And I was sitting down beside the front desk. He called me from his front desk loudly! Then he said that my booking had exceeded the reservation time of the hotel, and it would take long time to process. He assumed that my booking was in immediate, so it needed time! It was ridiculous. Then I asked him the time limit of the reservation. But he just replied that I might need to talk with the management to have some complaints. He said, due to my immediate booking, even I booked the hotel more than 12 hours before, my room was not ready yet. And he insisted me to take the two separate beds. He commanded me, not asked nicely. Even I had asked before during my booking with one double bed. He insisted, and asked me again to talk with the hotel management. Again, still no even smile on his face! It made me mad. I was tired with long flight, sleepy, and needed to deal with this stupid issue. Then I insisted to talk with the duty manager. And the security called him, Nizam if I was not mistaken. About 30 minutes later, he came. And Mr. Nizam helped me a lot. No need to discuss further. Nicely, he persuaded me and provide me the room immediate and properly. And he apologized with this process. I just couldnt imagine that such as big hotel, five stars, and it needed about two hours to check in. And specially for that receptionist, not even an half of star he could earn with his service. And it made me feel so uncomfortable and made my mind not to stay anymore at this hotel. Ever! Thank you. Collapse
