Me & seven other girls stayed in The Azuline Hotel Bergantin for our first girls holiday from the 15th to the 22nd of July which is Prime time in Ibiza for young people. We looked into the hotel on trip advisor, looking at reviews and making sure that the hotel would be suitable for us to stay in as a large group of girls. We seen that it catered for large groups, stag and hen parties etc... but was also a family hotel, we always seen that usually most large groups of young people would all be put on the first floor of the hotel, due to families being on higher floors etc which is understandable due to late nights and noise. The first day we arrived we checked in at reception, I wouldn't really say we was welcomed into the hotel, we just checked in and was told where our rooms were. We arrived late evening so we checked in and went for dinner... we then went out to an event and returned home late Saturday night, the usual. On the Tuesday then we had started talking to our neighbours and become close with them, they were also a group of young people who were on there holiday and as usual in the evenings we were socialising before going out, we then went to an event that night and came home late and our neighbours were still awake also, it was late but we was speaking on the balcony's and in our hotel rooms and we had a phone call saying that 'if they had anymore complaints we would have to leave' instead of speaking to us and asking us to be quite, I understand it was late but if you're offering to cater for large parties in Ibiza, noise and talking when coming in is something you would deal with. As the week progressed our neighbours left and two families were placed either side of our room with young children, as a group we knew we would have to be quieter due to children but we questioned why they would put a family with young children next to a large party of girls knowing full well there would be noise and we would get more warnings due to it, I think this was us not being catered for as a large party. The food in the hotel was lovely and a lot was offered and was a great range of food, but there was three or four members of staff in the restaurant that were quite rude, it seemed some obeyed the rules and some were easy with what was worn in the restaurant as one day we walked in and got food at began eating our dinner, members of staff had served us, spoken to us etc but as we was in the middle of eating our dinner, one of the surfers came over to the table and in front of other residents in the hotel pointed and said 'inappropriate' and said 'you have to go and get changed you can't eat in here like that' in the middle of dinner after seeing us previously for 15 minutes before. We then had an incident with money being taken or lost in our room. On Thursday morning one girl in our party counted €500 before going to a day event, we put our money in the safe and left WITH our key, when we retuned back to the hotel to shower before the evening, she started counting her money to sort out how much she would be taken out that evening, she started to panic when realising she had €200 left in her purse, how on earth did €300 go missing from our safe when we were out of the hotel all day at Ocean Beach Club. It was a very serious situation as we had 2 more nights left, we went down to reception to inform them of what had happened and they were no use what so ever, the supervisor behind reception said it was not possible this would of happened, they couldn't check CTV or check who had accused our room with a room key that day, his response was ring the police. It would of been easier for him to say 'we don't believe you, you're a bunch of young girls on holiday' because that's how we felt, we felt belittled and as if we weren't being taken seriously. On the Thursday we left our rooms late and returned late, as it was our last two days, when arriving back in our hotel we was stopped at reception and asked all three room numbers and told to be quite because they now know where we was staying so if there was any noise they could ask us to leave.. again it was as if we was already in trouble!! We was respectful, we was quite, even with the late nights. Our towels in our room wasn't changed for three days, the bathroom wasn't cleaned the whole week. The pool was relaxing and quite but the beds were all broken, if you sat down the back of the bed would come up and it would never stay flat down. The snack bar around the pool was really good because we could have food whenever food wasn't offered in the restaurant, there was all range of different snacks and we benefited from it. On our last night we had gone out to finish off our holiday, when returning to the hotel at 1am we was 'shushed' by the staff, even though no one was speaking! Reception staff were rude the whole holiday towards us. Great holiday but mix emotions about where we stayed... Collapse

Would definitely go back Collapse

Stay at this hotel from 10th may for a short break. The hotel is in a great location not far from the beach. Stayed a/I and upgraded to premium witch I say is a must you get access to the sunset terrace 30mins free in the jacuzzi. The hotel is nice and clean staff work their socks off. The pool areas are great nice and relaxing main pool area nice and big also a kids section and a adult only pool. Food is good a wide selection available. Snack bar also available between 10-6 everyday. Different theme nights in the main restaurant. Drinks a wide selection available including cocktails. Rooms cleaned every day the premium room are nice and spacious, beds nice and comfortable. Not far from San Antonio bay about 20min walk but their is bus stops close by Plenty of bars and restaurants and around to choose from. Overall I would visit this hotel and area again Collapse

Rooms were not ready when we arrived. All inclusive was basic and insisted that everyone had to come to show band. Friendly Staff. Rooms are ok and position good. Nice views to the swimmingpool but too noisy for us even by night with loud music. Would not book if looking for good all inclusive as easy to pay for drinks and food. Food was basic although in keeping. Nice restaurants nearby. Collapse

Arrived at the Azurline Bergantin on the 28th May 2017 for a week. We are a family of 6, consisting of 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a 5 year old so booked 2 rooms of 3. Upon arrival at 12pm we were impressed by the hotel on first impressions. We were told on 'checkin' that our rooms would not be ready until after 2pm so we got out our swimming gear had a dip in the pool and some lunch in the restaurant. 2pm came and we got the keys to both rooms, all going well so far. To our amasement when we entered the first room it was clean, basic but had 2 double beds in. Now normally you pay extra for for doubles - however given we had 3 teenagers (17, 15, 13) and a 5 year old if the second room was the same they would not have a separate bed each. So we headed off to the second room to investigate. To our amazement the second room was exactly the same - 2 double beds. Regardless of how we worked this between the rooms not everyone could have their own bed - now we are a close family, but not that close !. This had to be a mistake .... We went to reception to explain that given the ages of the children the beds were not suitable and was told 'that is what you booked, you will have to manage'. Obviously not happy with this we tried to be nice and continued to explain - even showed them that my 15 year old is 6ft tall (and looks like a grown man) however the only offer was a 'premium' room as they have separate beds. To my horror he then explained that this would cost 9 Euros per person per night and held out his hand for some money !. Appalled by this we requested to see the manager and was told he would be in the hotel at 4pm so to return then. Likely storey we thought and left not happy. With a 4pm date with the manager 'looming' meaning we had to hang around the hotel wasting our first afternoon as we were planning on going finding out what was around the hotel. 4pm came and I went to see the manager leaving the family in at the pool. When I spoke to him he was aware of the situation and I was abruptly met with 'that is the room you paid for, you pay for the room not to have a bed each'. Getting nowhere fast I had to make the point that I was not leaving until his was resolved. This had no impact until I asked the man at reception if he would sleep in a bed with the manager tonight - he laughed and said 'no way!' to which the manager replied 'but he's not my brother'. I quickly said (getting annoyed) but if he was would you sleep with him ?. He looked like he was about to explode and the queue in reception was now being entertained by my persistence to get this resolved. The manager went in to the back, ruffled papers threw clipboards down, stomped about and threw more things and came back with a room keycard. 'This is the only room you can have and I have had to take it off a family of 4 arriving tomorrow' he stated. When I asked how it was different he said it had 2 double beds and had space for a single bed which he had arranged to be put in the room. At last my teenagers now had a bed each ! Night 2 and couldn't sleep due to horrendous noise outside room. Sounded like an old knackered fridge freezer - absolutely horrendous ! - I don't come on holiday to listen to this racket ....... on a plus note whilst looking at where the noise was coming from saw an amazing electrical storm and the area around the hotel looked nice lit up ! The hotel is clean, well looked after and great for families. It's the best 3 star hotel I have ever stayed in - in fact it's on par if not better than some 4 star hotels I have stated in around Europe. The food is ok, but there is very little choice in the restaurant, ok at lunch as snack bar open for kids but was a struggle for our evening meal - unless you always eat pasta, salad, bread rolls and chips every day you will find yourselves eating out - same for most all inclusive holidays we have been on in fairness. What food there is fine and ok - just not a lot of selection at all - especially for kids as there is no kids food section which is a bit poor. WiFi is also and 'addon' at this hotel - not sure why in this day and age - why hotels don't just add it on the room price I will never know - major bugbear of mine even in the UK !. WiFi was 20 Euro for 7 days and allows 2 devices to be used. Why they don't just add 20 Euro to your holiday and provide it 'free' making people happy is beyond me - it's annoys everyone when the first thing you need to do is pay on an all inclusive ... Snack bar is absolutely fantastic for adults and kids. You will find fish fingers, burgers, hotdogs, chips toasted sandwiches, onion rings, pizza, salad boxes and real cornettos and magnums (nestle ones) - 10/10 here !. Portions of food are large and plentiful and all the food from the snack bar is cooked fresh in front of your eyes, great ! Entertainment is varied and follows he same as most all inclusive hotels. Kids mini disco at 830, dancing from 9-945, then a finale act such as live music (was great), parrot act (parrots on bikes and performing - 10 Euro for a picture with the parrot !), magic show which kids loved. The hotel stated that is situated 100m from 'the beach'. Whilst this is not fictitious don't expect a man made palm tree lined picturesque beach. It's a little 'natural' cove with some sand and a tapas bar. Nothing wrong with that but maybe not what the kids expect. There is lots of seaweed where the sand meets the sea and its quite rocky and freezing cold (beginning of June so probably warmer in Aug). Nothing wrong with it - it's quite quaint but it was not what the kids or the wife was expecting after being on golden sand beaches with warm deep blue clear water in Portugal and Majorca previously. Some people have mentioned that the walls are thin and you can hear everything in this hotel. It seems that the bathrooms all share the same air duct - located in the bathroom. This is where the sound travels and you can clearly hear everything whilst sat in there so be careful :). Closing the bathroom door helps drown out this noise but not when you are on the inside for some 'private' time if you have kids. At least 100 people will hear you ..... be warned :)) All the bar staff and animation team in the hotel are absolutely superb and polite. Always happy, always smiling which was great to see and made our holiday. If you fancy some real good homemade food for a great price go out of the hotel, turn right and then in the corner you will find Casita. The food here is to die for and is only 12.50 euro for 2 courses. Puts the hotel food to shame - but hey ho. If you are going to this hotel you will have a fantastic time, don't believe bad reviews this is a really good 3 star all inclusive in comparison and perspective to most. Happy holidays. :)) Collapse
