POOL AREAS. We arrived Sunday 9th Oct and unfortunately that night there was a huge storm which blew the motor on the pump of the big pool so we spent a few days down at the beach. The hotel opened the adult only pool for the kids to compensate and the toddler pool was still open but was quite busy first week so we didn't mind going to beach instead of fighting for beds. Pool reopened after few days so we were back to normal routine. Getting a sunbed was not a problem as there are lots. The only fault about the main pool area is how slippy the floors are. I've never experienced a floor as slippy before but luckily I brought my little boy water shoes which seemed to reduce the slippiness slightly so please bare this in mind if you are booking because when wet it's like a sheet of ice even to walk on let alone when kids run about. Snack bar was fab. Open 10.30 till 6pm and has great choice of snacks which are made up fresh when you order them (hotdogs, toasties, pizzas, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, fries, onion rings, sandwiches). Bar area around the pool was great too. Staff lovely and friendly and great service with the kids. They also do slush which was great for kiddies. ENTERTAINMENT. entertainers themselves are great. We had Sarah and Ray which worked there socks off to keep everyone entertained. Kids club was fab and activities around the pool area were also good including mini golf, archery and table tennis. Night time entertainment has been a bit hitty missy but it does cater for all ages so cant really complain. Only fault I have with the entertainment is that the kids show is on quite late 9pm then the main show on at 10pm. By this time there's a few twisty kids so would be better for us if kids show was on earlier but I suppose every family is different. ROOMS. rooms are quite spacious but very little storage space especially when 2 adults and 2 kids sharing a room. Also no plug sockets near the mirror which is a bit of a pest when getting ready. We got 2 double beds and a pool view room which was off a decent standard. Cleaners in everyday to make up beds and change towels. FOOD. it does get a little repetitive but it has on every 2 week holiday I've been on. Always plenty to choose from and I have not had a cold meal yet. Can get a bit busy at times so can imagine it being a nightmare in high season but so far no complains and we've been here 10 days. It's defo somewhere we would come back too. I'd say just book it and you won't be disappointed xx Collapse
Will not be back

Hotel is shocking! Entertainment if thats what you call it, rubbish! We was there 6th - 13th and had a rubbish holiday. We did end up with bad weather our last 3 days of being there and there was no cummincation with hotel staff. Rep was no were to be seen until 6pm the night before we come home. Due to the bad weather from the 9th there was pool closures in place and kids climbing frame. Wich they was in no rush to get back open! And made it even more dangerous near the kids pool by not shifting the hazards that had be left due to the storm! So my daughter was bored! Baby pool then became jam packed with older kids. Food was shocking! We ate out most nights, plus it was like feeding time at the bloody zoo, every queuing! Pool bar man kept disappearing, so on his renturn left with a massive que to get 1 drink! Most of the sun loungers are dogey big dints in them, every umberella we used we had to jam it with straws so it would actually stay up! to top of that. We never had our sheets changed the week we was there nor was our balcony cleaned, the floor was rotten! The walls are paper thin can hear tvs on either side, toilets flushing and more.. that i wont get into! There was also ants in the bottom off our wardrobe that i seen on day 2. I will be taking my complaint further as the staff at the hotel were useless! Will DEFINITELY NOT be returning! Collapse

We was a party of 8 coming to the bergatin for 1 weeks break after reading the reviews i can only say we was disappointed. On our second night the noise was bad we went to bed around 12:30am there were t.v.s on really loud there were doors banging it was really noisy but the worst thing was there was some noisy people on our floor (2nd) laughing and shouting really bad at 5am i had had enough i got on the phone and asked someone to please come up and sort the noise out so shortly after a security man came up and banged on there door they wouldnt open it at first but he finally got them to be quiet. if you are coming to this hotel ear plugs are a must the walls are paper thing you can hear everything from next door even people using the toilet. The main pool was closed because they had had some really bad weather and it stayed closed for about 4 days of our holiday there was a small adult pool so everyone had to use that. The food was hit and miss and never quiet hot enough, The entertainment was bad even had 1 game of bingo every night but you couldnt understand his language even tho he said the numbers in 3 or 4 languages we couldnt understand him and kids were running riot (really loud) sorry but this is 1 hotel we will not be returning to actually glad to be home today Collapse

Don't listen to the negative feedback, it's one of mine and my partners favorite holidays. We recommend going premium as you get the sunset terrace in with it. Best feeling ever up there, looking out to sea, they bring your drinks over, mist machines and the hot sun. Only problem we had was when we booked I messaged the hotel to ask of we could upgrade to a premium room as I booked a standard and we emailed the hotel to ask what extra we got for the price. They said towels, free wifi, sun loungers on the beach, and access to the sun terrace. I printed the emails off when we went just to prove I booked the premium room. I enquired about the wifi they said there isn't free wifi and had to get the proof out (the emails) so show them that they said wifi is free. So they had to give us it because they already said it was free plus we were told our towels would be in our room but wasn't so we just gave up. BUT! that's the only problems we had the rooms were amazing, food was okay, alcohol drinks definitely taste so much better on the sunset terrace, fresh cocktails and drinks served in frozen glasses! I recommend to try San Francisco and the sex on the beach bare in mind each staff member makes them different so you must try them all! Hehe. We got the top floor and experienced no noise at all it was quite but the walls are paper thin and can hear conversations and people sat on the toilet but no noise of people running down the corridor or anything. Overall there were some pretty amazing things on our holiday but you must experience them yourself! Collapse
