We are back again, as soon as we arrived Mario and carlos and all the staff make you so welcome it is like coming home and one of the reasons we keep coming here. I read some of the bad reports about the hotel, don't believe all you read, we would not keep coming here if any of it was half true.the staff, simon, Sergio, sisco are all so friendly they all deserve a raise. even the cleaners and maintenance always smile and say hola. the restaurant food is first class, we have never had a bad meal and we have had hundreds here. at breakfast if you don't like how they cook bacon or eggs tell them and they cook it how you want it in front of you not everybody likes it crispy. nothing is a problem, we have never had a dirty room or unfriendly staff and always enjoyed our stay. looking forward to our next stay, George and Lesiey always room 702. This was our second year at the Benalmadena Palace for Christmas and it will certainly NOT be our last!! Will however start with one observation - the absence of a lifeguard in the indoor pool as he was tasked with "tidying up" the sun loungers around the outdoor pool in the evenings when the indoor pool was very busy. However apart from this we have zero complaints and much to praise! The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, and are obviously very passionate about their work, and providing the best customer service they can. Special mention must go to the dishy (my wife's choice of words - not mine!!) Juan Carlos. He kept us entertained as we ate in the restaurant with his fabulous piano playing - he could play anything, and surprised us both with a rendition of our wedding first dance for our first anniversary which we celebrated on 19th December. He also worked extremely hard each evening organising the karaoke after the main entertainment. He was so friendly and enthusiastic, and really helped make our holiday! He has our vote for employee of the month! Also the staff behind the bar particularly Simon, Sergio, Michael and Juan - always service with a smile - even at 2am! The entertainments team work hard to keep us amused both during the day and in the evening, and although we do not have young children - the mini club entertainment staff were obviously adored by their young clients! We arrived slightly before the start of the main Christmas holiday season - and a special mention must go to Patrice who was very entertaining - although we are not sure he actually realised he was being so! The food was very good with lots of choices to suit all tastes, which were constantly being refreshed and replenished. We enjoyed it a little too much - as our expanding waistlines will testify! All the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. We were a party of seven and they made every effort to ensure we were seated together for our meals. They were very attentive, and no request was too much trouble! Our rooms and all other areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean by the dedicated staff, not an easy task at all, but managed well. A final mention to the night time security guard - whose name escapes me unfortunately! A genuinely lovely and helpful man - again the words of the wife! We met so many lovely people at this hotel - many who like us have been there before, and I have no doubt we will see them all again next year! Thank you for our wonderful holiday - and God willing we will see you next year! Collapse

We've just returned from our second Christmas holiday at the Benalmádena Spa Hotel and must say it just gets better! Great hotel and facilities for the kids and not to mention the fantastic staff that we must mention as they are the ones who made our holiday so special. The pianist Juan Carlos is amazing on the piano and such a friendly guy. The waiters Juan, Simon and Sergio are all super guys and couldn't do enough for you! Also Sisco and Mario, part of the entertainment team are brilliant. We do hope they are all there next year as we are planning to return for our third year running - this hotel would not be the same without these guys Looking forward to going back already. We visit this hotel every February half term but last year we also visited in October half term with our new granddaughter and my daughter and partner. We all had a wonderful time, the baby loved her first holiday at Benalmadena palace and so did the rest of the family. We had a lovely sunny room which I think could be the one in the above picture with view of the pool. It was our 7th time at this hotel and I can honestly say things get better every time. This hotel never closes, its open all year round yet they always manage to keep it all up to date and renew things every year. I have seen all the outdoor pool areas resurfaced, new canopies over the terrace bar, the dining room completely refurbished, a new outdoor fitness park, a new tennis court, new paths and artificial grass, new décor on the sunbathing terrace to look like a ships mast. the indoor pool refurbished and new corridor area, new sunbeds, new play equipment and in October I noticed brand new windows and doors had been added to the dining room plus a safety lock on the luggage room. The list is endless. The manager is always around checking the kitchens, bars, playroom, terraces etc, I have often seen him eat a meal on the outside terrace. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Most of the staff have been working there ever since I started coming in 2011, they remember you and make you feel welcome. The hotel is spotless, the rooms have been upgraded over the last few years and the fixtures, fittings, mattresses etc are all very good qualiy. The baby cots are proper wooden cots not travel cots. There are complimentary toiletries provided plus and iron, ironing board and little welcome pack with t bags, water, fruit. The food is always very good quality and there is always a big choice, the only critiscism I have of the food is there is never an indian curry night like some hotels I have visited, maybe that is one for the management to be thinking about. Forget the negative reviews, they are very few and far between. We will be arriving on 20th February 2017 for our 8th visit. We always look forward to staying at the Benalmadena Palace and I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for a winter break. I hope we get a lovely sunny room again this time as it always makes the holiday that bit more special. Collapse
