Now I'll start by saying reviews are obviously personal opinions and very much depends on personal taste levels and how each holiday rates against previous holidays you may have had. Now I'm not a holiday snob by any stretch of the imagination, but this place brought out my inner Hyacinth Bucket! If you're used to 4+ star accommodation, let this be my lesson never to go lower again You know when you're on your transfer from the airport and you pull up outside a hotel and think, please don't let this be us? Well this time, it was us! Now the complex is huge, maybe 8 or so hotels make up the Bellevue Club complex. And tbh from the outset when you enter it's not too bad. We pulled up outside the Minerva block where we were staying 4 nights, all incl. with Thomson. Just booked a very last minute couple of days away so of course we weren't expecting the Ritz Carlton! However.. The reception area was filthy, crap and food all over the floor and so many bodies in there it took a good half hour before we got to the front of the queue. Checked in pretty smoothly, note tax on arrival to be paid up front at reception. No air con, which sucked as it was 35+ degrees everyday, and the fans were pointless! The room was fairly sized and did what it needed to for our four days, however the floor hadn't been swept, hair and dirt all over and the table in the room was covered in food.. MMM Nice! The pool situation is ok, plenty to choose from, but no where near enough sun loungers for the amount of people staying in the complex. We opted to sun bathe on the grass a little away from the pools as it meant we had some shade from the sun. The pool bars are again ok, decent lager, and selection of soft drinks and local spirits.. Only real gripe was the number of 'lucky - lucky men' on the loose here. Lost count of the amount of times they came by touting. Most of them were ok with a no thanks, odd ones were a bit more pushy! Staff in general were friendly & helpful, with the exception of one of the pool bar waitresses, unless you were Spanish, it was nigh on impossible to even get a response when you greeted her. The restaurant was dire!! We were all incl. so ate in the upstairs section of the restaurant. To get to this you had to pass through the lower floor buffet, which I presume was for those on B&B or half board basis. It was like walking through a cattle market, every man for himself! Once upstairs, I wished I was eating downstairs! Granted there wasn't as much of a rush, however, it was dirty, the floor wasn't cleaned nearly enough so it was like dodging food land mines & the cutlery and glasses were disgusting, never looked like they'd even been near a dishwasher. The tables were set the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so on an evening there's no real sense of occasion etc.. And again, not enough space to accommodate the amount of guests there. The food was ok, having been to plenty of 4+ star all incl. resorts, this was never going to stack up. A little bland, boring, almost school dinner-ish tbh.. We ended up eating off site the last day.. Plenty to do around the resort, loads of bars and restaurants. The beach is about ten minute walk (beach is beautiful btw), and plenty of bars. Overall, if you just want 'cheap as chips' couple of days, I'd say its ok. I'd certainly never go back and anything more than a couple of days would have been a test! I can't comment on the kids facilities, but loads of families there, a little mini fair ground and speedway track thing.. As I started, reviews are personal opinions, so if you've already booked to stay here and are now reading this & starting to panic, don't, you may arrive and have a wonderful time. It just wasn't for me and my husband that's all. Collapse

We are currently on holiday at Bellevue. I must admit after booking then reading reviews I was very apprehensive. For the money we paid we cannot fault it. We are with thomson and in Minerva 2 our room has been refurbished there is a flat screen TV there too and modern kitchen with toaster and microwave and kettle should you need it ( we are all inc) the beds are the best I've slept in abroad they r memory foam. You can hire fans for 3 euros a night. There have been a lot of complaints about food but I can't understand why?? Tonight has been especially good with Chinese food including prawns and duck. The deserts are delicious too. The snack bars are good too serving burgers and hot dogs with chips. The litter is a pain but that's just due to bad manners and laziness plus silly small bins that aren't emptied frequently. The entertainment is fine if you have children as we don't we go out of an evening, the shine bar is good it has entertainment acts and staff are lovely. We also go linekers bar too. Beach is beautiful. So anyone doubting your booking please don't! Unless it's remarkably improved in the last few months, I think the reviews must be of extra fussy people. At the end of the day you get what you pay for!! Collapse

Me and my sister stayed in Minerva II from the 16/07-20/07. We have stayed here before 10 years ago and the rooms have been fully refurbished since then and they look absolutely amazing and are so spacious. The only downside to the room is no air con, but they can give a plug in unit but this was only upon request. They had ran out so we were given a standard fan, and when we did get the AC Unit it was no stronger than the fan so just be prepared for warm rooms. Other than this, no complaints at all! Pools were lovely, everything was clean. Not allowed to reserve sun beds, which was fine by us because the ones who did get away with it would end up not turning up to the pool until late morning, meanwhile seeing loads of people have to sit on the grass. Other guests weren't so friendly when we sat on a sunbed that "they reserved" with a bottle of sun cream, and continued to bully us throughout the day. Food was great, great selection and always to a good standard. Would definitely stay again as 2 23 year old girls looking for some chill out time and a little night life! Collapse

Have stayed at this hotel self catering a few times and never had any problems, however this will be our last visit! The Fedra l is in desperate need of refurb, holes in curtains and bedding and an altogether grubby feel about the place. Self catering not an option as the hob trips everything when switched on, not just our room affected by this. Lady at poolside bar couldn't raise a smile. Many sunloungers were broken, hence all the decent ones taken by 7am. Love Alcudia but will try another hotel in future. Collapse
