We stayed early July, we had a fantastic deal with lastminute.com. Really good location, when we stayed it was 32'c with a stand fan supplied in our room. Breakfast was good....our only gripe was some of the staff were not as friendly as they could have been but that's a minor point. You have to pay a city tax upon arrival ours cost 10 euros for 3 nights, this is normal but varies from hotel to hotel. We met Claude the owner on our final day, the staff had perked up then!! But overall we would recommend this hotel. Collapse

This hotel, booked as part of a "Package City Break" is advertised as 3*. This Classification, according to the plaque displayed on the outside wall adjacent to the front door of the hotel, is due for renewal any time now (July 2017). It falls quite short of other Parisian hotels I have used and in my experience should be graded no higher than 2* given the level of service and the current state of interior comfort, decoration and ambiance. Rooms were very tired but kept clean. My first room had a broken T.V. so following a room change, I had a T.V. that worked but the remote control needed new batteries. A bedside light bulb needed replacement and the toilet seat fixing was broken. Breakfast was what you get in Paris but was delivered on a very casual basis by an elderly gentleman who was the night receptionist working shifts that appeared to exceed 12 hours. Minimal quantities of buffet breakfast items were set out and replenishment was only carried out upon request. A number of guests showed their dissatisfaction at having to ask what they'd paid for and could reasonably expect. The reactive, rather than pro-active style of service was an irritation. The surrounding area was not pleasant late at night and the short walk from the nearest Metro station would most probably be described by many as potentially threatening. Collapse

I stayed here for ten nights in June 2017, the first seven of them for business purposes on my own in double room 32, and the last three for leisure purposes with my wife in triple room 33. First, the plus points: It is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good value. The hotel is centrally-located for the attractions of Montmartre. But: I don’t understand how this hotel gained a three-star rating. Maybe not for much longer. Most of the hotels in Montmartre have a two-star rating. I inspected two of these, and although they were also small, they both offered better accommodation than the Hotel Bellevue. In particular: - the double rooms are cramped. If you are on your own, you would be better advised to choose a two-star hotel that offers rooms with single beds, that give you more space, even though they are still small rooms. If you are a couple, you really need a triple room – which is more expensive, of course. - Some of the fixtures and fittings are old, and should have been replaced long ago. The desks in both rooms 32 and 33 were chipped. The sink in room 32 was chipped. The bathroom door handle and lock in room 33 was loose, and had been crudely repaired. - The breakfast room should be at least double the size. It seats 18 in very cramped conditions. There is a huge drinks-dispensing machine in one corner that takes up valuable space, but I never saw anyone use it. - The reception area is also far too small. The hotel does not have a proper space to store the luggage of those who arrive early but cannot yet check-in, or who wish to store luggage for a while after check-out. I am not surprised that a previous reviewer had his luggage stolen from the reception area. The hotel now requires you to sign a waiver form, that absolves it from any responsibility for losing your stored luggage. - In such a hotel, the elevator is a vital means of transporting guests and their luggage to the rooms, because the stairs are winding and have narrow steps. But throughout my stay, if the elevator stopped at the first floor, it remained there, and if you were on another floor, you could not command it to move. The receptionist had to run up the stairs to release it each time, so that it could serve the other floors. - During my stay, the hotel was replacing the carpet in the corridors and in some rooms. Two of my fellow guests were told that this had to be done in their rooms while they were still in residence! - Some of the reception staff are poorly trained. There is often only one person on duty. A Filipino girl receptionist was very helpful, but others were not. One one bizarre occasion, I brought my laundry to reception. The receptionist told me they did not offer such a service. But remember, this is a three-star hotel. I went back to my room and retrieved the hotel information folder, which contains a price list for the laundry service (quite expensive, by the way). I returned to reception and showed this list to the receptionist. He still denied that they provided such a service! I had to email the manager of the hotel to get this service done. He apologized and the laundry was done promptly. - That manager speaks good English, and is personally very helpful. But he is not resident at the hotel, and does not even have his own office there. I think that manager and the owner of this hotel have failed to make the investments required. Now they are starting the construction of additional rooms in a courtyard behind the hotel. If you stay here, I suspect that you will experience significant disruption in the already-cramped public areas, because of this. Collapse

Once we found the hotel on a back street we entered to a warm welcome. In fact Sam was a star. He was there to let you in & still there doing the breakfast. The room on the first floor was small & dark not the best. The shower worked well but a high step up. 2 hangers in the room & a rail. good job this was a football trip. bed comfortable & clean. Breakfast do it yourself, serial tea/coffee. hard boiled eggs bread, croissants also had chocolate buns. Fruit & yogurts. so you could have a start off to the day. Collapse

This hotel is near Anvers Metro ,a couple of minutes walk from the the funicular and the attractions of Montmartre,so an ideal location for a short stay. This hotel's website states it's been refurbished.I would ask when? The rooms were clean but very tired looking. The shower screen was faulty in our room and you had to be careful of slow clearing drains in the shower. The shower in our granddaughters room was also causing problems. Both rooms had fans proivided but they were very noisy, probably because the appeared not to be cleaned or maintained. The breakfast room is a joke. The notice advises to come at 7.30 to avoid congestion ,well guess what people take that to heart and you find yourself queueing. When you did get a place there is often no one on duty to replenish crockery, food etc.We had to ask the receptionist who would wash plates etc just enough for what you asked for.If you do come later they runout of pastries etc.It is obviously being run on a shoe string budget.I feel sorry for the excellent staff who do their very best but are let down by a management who expect them to perform miracles with the bare minimum. We cannot fault the friendly ,helpful reception staff who are so willing to do anything to make your stay as good as they can.If I had paid the advertised tariff for per night I would have been angry as it certainly doesn't operate to the advertised star rating. If they could improve the breakfast situation the I would consider staying there again provided I got a good deal as I would not pay what the hotel wants. This hotel is a good base if you don't spend too much time in your room.I feel the website needs updating to reflect the state of the hotel today Collapse
