We stayed at the Beausite Hotel last weekend on a special deal for local people. Regardless that we were on a special deal rate, all our rooms were comfortable and very clean with lovely views overlooking the garden. Our deal included a three course evening meal which was really good. Every dish was cooked to perfection and the children were catered for in the same fashion. There was a children's menu or they could order a smaller serving off the main menu. Service was quick and efficient (8 Adults and 4 children) even though the restaurant was very busy. The hotel bar is open from 5pm until the last person retires for the night! The prices for drinks is very reasonable perhaps persuading us all to have an extra night cap! The Beausite has beautiful gardens that are directly in front of the indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The kids spent hours both days in the pool and loved every minute. Whilst we enjoyed the sunshine sunbathing on the sun beds and we could watch the children at the same time. In the evening the children used the games room playing pool and watching a movie on the large tv in the snug. The next morning the breakfast menu was varied with pretty much everything you could possibly want to eat. Again, all dishes were well cooked and very tasty. I will say it again, the Beausite Hotel really is a 3 Star Hotel with a 5 Star Heart. The staff are wonderful, the food is very good, the facilities inviting and the rooms perfectly comfortable. Needless to say we all agreed we would stay here again for a mini 'staycation' and would definitely be recommending the hotel to our families and friends. Collapse
Beausite Hotel Apartments - dirty third world entry

First impression for the Beausite apartments is appalling – the entry from the designated parking area for these apartments is uneven with rubbish stuffed under the fire stairs next to the entry gate loose bricks on the ground – no sign to even say where the entry is. The whole area is sadly in need of some TLC. On entering – it does not get much better – while we were there the entry was partially blocked by “guests push bikes” and “guests empties”. The tiled steps were broken and dirty. There is no lift to the apartments. We stayed in Blampied apartment – which ultimately was clean enough – but contained mismatched furniture and inadequate kitchen supplies for any cooking – ok for breakfast cereal and toast – but not much else. The apartment contained no normal items like hooks in the bathrooms, a hairdryer, bedside lamps etc. The king size bed in the bedroom is too big – meaning you need to walk sideways to get to either side of the bed or the bathroom. The view from the bedroom is the back of the hotel – badly in need of painting, repairing – and clearing up – pallets of tiles old brooms and brushes and a good handful of cigarette butts every day we were there. Smoking staff members or guests are a common feature - the smokers peer directly into the bedroom window. The living area contained a pull down double bed this had inadequate bedding – consisting of two flat pillows, sheets and a single shabby (old) blanket intended for a single bed. The view from the living area is a street view – it also has an outside space with no access – from that apartment or any other - but contains smatterings and small piles of broken tiles. I did speak with the manageress about the state of the entry to the apartments - but while conceding they were "not the best" seemed unprepared to try to make it look better. The cluttered entry and empties apparently “belonged to guests”. The manageress advised that a lot of the problem was my fault for choosing the apartment badly – and I have to concede that it certainly was a mistake. It would have been a mistake even if I had not been travelling with my 87 year old mum who is not so spry. Some of the outside lights were not working or inadequate – so an uneven surface a half blocked passage way in the dark and having to punch in the security code on two doors in the dark was very tricky to negotiate – thank you phone flashlight! I believe that the hotel facilities are nice as was the young lady behind the front desk – so if you must stay in the apartments – make use of the pool and gardens – but if you are interested in self catering and want to see Jersey – don’t stay in Blampied. Blampied – has no views, is a bit shabby and is vastly overpriced. I cannot speak for any of the other apartments as I have not seen them – but I am told the one on the top floor has nice views. The parting comment from the manageress was that she had received very few complaints. So come on – if you have ever stayed in Blampied – speak up!– let them know that a few flowers on “our side” of the hotel would not go astray – and that it needs cleaning up and fixing up. Collapse

We enjoyed our one week family holiday here. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, with good mix of guests, families, extended families, singles, couples etc. It's in a great location - short walk to lovely Gorey, and bus stop right outside the hotel so getting round the island was easy. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the garden is a lovely sun trap. Breakfast was nice but didn't try the evening meals. The reason I have rated it as average is because we were disappointed with the room. We booked and paid for it in full back in January so would have thought we would have bagged one of the best rooms! The size of the room and the beds were ok for the four of us. But it is very dated, tired decor, basin in the room (+ ensuite shower & toilet), poor soundproofing (could hear guest next door snoring all week and woke us up at 5am on the last day!). Service was good. Collapse

Excellent location, on a good bus route, close to Gorey. Limited parking, suitable for smaller cars mostly. Excellent staff, especially in the dining room. Evening meal of a high standard and good selection on the menu. Breakfast equally as good. Drinks prices in line with local pubs. Our double room (2 singles put together) was located on the top floor and overlooked the lovely central garden area. We found the room to be a little dated in terms of decor but in keeping with the style of the hotel. Comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, mirrors, dressing table etc. No lighting near the wardrobe so rather dark in that area of the room. Lovely, modern shower room. Clean white tiling, lovely looking shower but unfortunately lacked water pressure. Maybe because we were on the top floor, not sure. Wifi was excellent in the room. There was also a child’s bed tucked away under the eaves of the roof. We liked the photos of Jersey scenes around the hotel and in our room. Great for locals and holidaymakers alike! The pool is a good size with an excellent jacuzzi and sauna. Pool towels are supplied. Gardens had tables, chairs and sunbeds scattered around. The bar was rather dark but nice to take drinks out into the garden or sit in the lounge area with comfy sofas. Collapse
