I visited London for work purposes and The Beaufort was a last minute addition to my accomodation stay. Firstly, I checked in to the hotel late night around midnight and they were very accommodating and welcoming. I checked in and first impression of my room. Extremely small. To be honest my bedroom at home was bigger but this is something minor. I asked for a room upgrade and they upgraded my room to a larger room which was very pleasant and appreciated. So my concerns during my stay. Breakfast was included in my stay, a little confusing. When included the list of items you can can get for breakfast only continental is included. So this means cereal, fresh fruit salad, coffee and teas, baked pastries, juices. If you want eggs of any type this is extra. I feel this is a little disappointing, given you do pay for a breakfast this should be included and not an extra. Please ask at check in what is included. I did get caught out as I was not told and did order eggs as not even on the list does it state extra costs for eggs or anything else not in the continental list. Another issue I had was there is not a sitting room for breakfast. They did advise you can sit in the foyer lounge or in your room. So in the room there is not a big enough table or even a chair to have your breakfast. They have a very narrow table which is no where near appropriate to have your breakfast on. So for me if your going to offer breakfast I would recommend they furnish the rooms with suitable table and chairs especially for a couple as not enough room for one let alone two people to have breakfast. When I did have the eggs though it was fantastic. Bathroom in my room didn’t have an exhaust fan so every shower the mirror fogged up and bathroom was steamy. Also a massive inconvenience there is no power point socket for the hair dryer. I had to use the hair dryer in the main room. That didn’t make sense. Other than the above overall. This hotel has a great warm feeling. Very welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location to Harrods and cafes. Collapse

Hello, This boutique hotel is very charming and the staff is very welcoming. The hotel is located next to all the shopping places. It’s a walking distance to harrods and Harvey Nichols. To get to the rooms is like a labyrinth but it gets easier by the day. The area is very calm and you get good sleep. The rooms are very clean. It is great that they serve breakfast in bed since the do not have a dining room. I honestly think if you ever go to London book at The Beaufort. Enjoy your stay! Collapse

I really enjoyed the Beaufort Hotel on Beaufort Garden, a charming, quiet residential street. The hotel is 2 blocks from Harrods and the Knightsbridge Metro stop and near the Victoria & Albert Museum. This is a renovated townhouse. I stayed in a tiny, single on the fifth floor. It would not fit 2 people so you must definitely book a double room if there are 2 or you want extra space. It was fine for a 3 night, weekend visit. I felt like a character in a movie - perhaps I should have been writing poetry rather than shopping at Harvey Nichols. The queen/full size bed was comfortable with a nice assortment of pillows. The plumbing is loud but the water pressure was fine. Overall the room was very quiet except for the banging of heavy room doors as people left in the morning. But other than that the fifth floor was very peaceful. As other reviewers have stated, they serve an afternoon tea from 3-5. There is a "bar" the receptionist operates in the evening for the guests sitting in the reception area. The old elevator requires the heavy gate to fully close to operate properly. As a result the elevator often doesn't come when called as it is stuck on a floor. The elevator does not make it to the fifth floor making me certain that, in the old days, the space was for servants or poor relatives. If you have trouble with stairs or really tiny elevators that move very slow, take a lower floor. In the winter, the 5th is nice and toasty warm. In the summer, the a/c is necessary. The young staff was nice and friendly. They responded quickly to requests. I enjoyed the visit and would stay again. Collapse
