this booking was last minute I just wanted a bit of sun away from the UK weather family of 4,2 adults and a 15yr old and 4year old ,I only stayed 5 days the hotel is about 3 minutes from the airport get a taxi which is about 7 euros we were giving a family room the room was spacious and we were happy until the evening when it got to about 11pm the noise from the bar below was ridiculous and the people above us decided that they wanted to sit on their balcony until 3am talking so having no sleep they moved us next day to the other side of the hotel a lot smaller room but after that we slept fine ! Why the hotel has family rooms above the bar I’ll never understand the food was ok we were all inclusive nothing special really the pool area is very good and the location next to the beach is brilliant! A taxi to del carman is about 7 euros it’s too far to walk in my opinion so all in all the hotel does it’s job I wouldn’t want to stay here longer than a week and I never saw one member of staff smiling in 5 days ! "You get what you pay for" has always been my expectation of any holiday but I have finally found a hotel that exceeds this motto. Value for money is exceptional. Looking through the reviews it is clear that many others have expected more but the cost of staying all inclusive here including (local!) flights was such good value that we did it again! I really cannot see what more anyone could ask for. The hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint maybe to bring it up to date but when you look at everything else included it isn't too difficult to look beyond some dated decor. We booked superior refurbished rooms on both trips (for very little extra) and they could not be faulted. The bathroom (no bath btw, just a roomy walk-in shower) is spacious, modern and exceptionally clean and the shower...oh.... the shower is to die for - no let up in heat or power no matter how long you spend in there. The room is cleaned daily and to a high standard, occasionally there may have been something overlooked, i.e. sugar/tea not topped up but just pick some up next time you're at the pool bar or restaurant? Never was the room/bathroom left dirty or untidy no matter how much mess we made. We even had complimentary gifts left on a couple of days - excellent service. The pool/ pool bar and restaurants are very clean and well maintained. When the hotel is at full capacity it could benefit from additional staffing as it is clear to see that the hotel staff work very hard despite being short staffed and up against it on occasion, i.e breakfast in the restaurant when it is at full capacity/ only one housekeeper per floor. For those complaining of the 4 star rating, Lanzarote ratings are different to Britain's - this hotel is the equivalent of a 3 star in the UK and quite rightly so. The spa is quite literally something else and with 2 for 1 offers on every week there is no excuse not to give it a go. I guarantee you'll go back for seconds. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay, the location (first stop if you use Thomas Cook transfers!) fabulous well kept and super clean pools and the beach on the doorstep, not to mention a short walk to Puerto del Carmen. Bike hire is a must, particularly if you'll enjoy aeroplane take offs/landings up close. The hotel bike hire was pricey compared to the 2 minute walk for a 5 euro per day hire at Flinston's Bike Hire (highly recommended). I would also recommend hiring one of the four poster beds for a day by the pool - worth every single penny after 9 days on the plastic pool loungers! The food was excellent, if anyone has issue with the selection available or could find nothing to eat at meal times they seriously need to check their diet! We ate out one evening in the local town and the quality of food was no different from that of the hotel. Btw pay that little bit extra and go all inclusive, it will save you a fortune on drinks (especially soft drinks). We used Thomas Cook as a package and I cannot find fault, even when things don't go to plan. This was our second holiday at Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa and we will definitely return again and this is from a couple who would never have dreamed of returning to the same place for a holiday...ever. Quite simply we have not found anywhere else that offers such great value for money and still manages to offer an element of luxury. Hard-core Canary Island lovers for more than 2 decades and this is the best place we have found yet. Collapse

We stayed All Inclusive in this hotel for 4nights. Well... 3.5 nights after 5hrs flight delay. Despite arriving at midnight we were welcome with a smile and there was some food and bottled water waiting for us at the restaurant. We were so grateful as didn’t expect that. It is the nicest smelling hotel I ever stayed. The reception area is really beautiful. We had a room on a 2nd floor. Room itself was a bit dated, bath is so scratched that at 1st I thought it was dirty, but on a closer inspection turns out it was definitely clean just lots of black scratches. The room was clean and spacious. Bed mattress was comfortable. Unfortunately two very separate beds. There is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room. There was a basic hair dryer in the bathroom and some shower gel ect... safe box also available to rent. Nice size balcony with partial sea view. Restaurant: breakfast - really good. Poppy seed bread rolls tasted amazing! there is English bacon available. Good selection for continental and cooked options. Out favourite meal. Lunch and dinner - there was a small choice of food but I must say that what I ate was very tasty. I consider March as out of season month and it was hard to find a free table in the restaurant so I’m not sure how this looks when hotel is fully booked? Drinks in the restaurant are on self service basis. There is SanMiguel larger - happy days, sangria, wine, still and sparkling water as well as fruit cordials (“juices”). There is only one all inclusive bar open in the evenings and again it gets very busy, especially during the entertainment times. I Imagine queues to the bar are even worse in summer.. Decent beer and martini. So-called cocktails are just sugar mixed with slushy ice. I don’t recommend them. Swimming pool area - busy in March but still easy enough to find a sun lounger. The main pool is heated!! Just be aware it gets really cold when you come out after the swim in the warm water. Location: 5minutes from the airport. Bit loud through the day but easy to get used to the noise. Going for 5days we loved the short transfer time. Hotel is adjacent to a promenade. Great for long walks. you can rent a bicycle ect. 5 minutes walk to restaurants and shops about 10minutes walk to a big sandy beach. Spa: we didn’t get the chance to use it but there was 2-4-1 entrance fee offer on Monday. Some restaurants are only open on certain days. Check that on arrival. There are cats and birds about. We didn’t mind them. I couldn’t see any hand washing/disinfecting facilities near the restaurant - that would be much appreciated. Free wi-fi in the common area. You can pay extra to get it in your room. Staff: everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful! Pool entertainment - very good. Usual competition, dancing. Pleasant staff. Evening entertainment - pretty good. Not amazing but different people booked on different nights so not just singing every night. Overall: In my opinion it is not a posh hotel but we had a very nice stay. If you are looking for a luxurious holiday than maybe look somewhere else. If you are looking for clean, good size bedrooms, basic food and pleasant staff than look no further. And don’t forget 5 minutes transfer! Collapse
