After booking this holiday everyone would call it Lanzagrote when we said where we were going. I have no idea where this nickname came from as I didn't see a single piece of rubbish anywhere and the whole resort was extrememly clean. From start to finish this holiday was perfect. Straight through the airport and luggage was even starting to come up before we got to the belt. The hotel was 10 mins from the airport and yes you do hear the planes but as we knew about this beforehand it didn't cause any problem whatsoever. Check in was delayed but only because of the time we got there and they sent us straight to the restaurant as they didn't want us to miss the evening meal. The reception staff speak really good English and explained everything we needed to know. Really polite. Our room 2083 was an upgraded one (which didn't cost more) and was really nice. The shower was more powerful than ours at home. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels whenever we needed them. The fridge was also unlocked but we didn't need it anyway. The gardens and pool area were all fantastic and the area around the hotel and in resort would be great even for people with wheelchairs/frames etc as it was lovely and smooth and flat. Even though it is a big hotel never once was there a problem getting a sun bed. The food was all of a very high standard and more than enough choice. Couldn't fault anything. I have read people complaining about food not being available at certain times but there is no way you could go hungry so I just think people like something to complain about. All the restaurant staff work extremely hard and if there is not a table free you would never have to wait longer than a couple of minutes for them to get you one ready. The entertainment was good and something different each evening. Overall I would say every single member of staff without exception (reception, cleaners, entertainment etc) worked really hard and were extremely professional throughout. Not like other places we have stayed where the staff have their favourites and seem to sleaze with people for tips. Check out was 12 noon and our flight wasn't until 9.35pm but they have a secure room for your luggage and a complimentary shower room so not a big deal. We also had the full use of all the restaurants and bar up until we left free of charge which was excellent as we didn't expect that. Our whole experience was positive and we are definitely going back next year. Collapse

We stayed at this hotel as a group of 10 (5 couples). We have learned not to believe all the reviews we read, but find them handy for tips. The hotel was huge, but all areas kept clean, and our room was regularly cleaned too. We found it odd to have to pay for the fridge, but there is an option of paying for a mini bar which works out at a few euros more, but you get the choice of drink and some food. Worth doing. There is a spar, souvenir shops, bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away from the side gate. Taxis are only €5 to Puerto del Carmen. Try O'Reillys Bar day or evening. There are shops in tne hotel too. The pools are big and were cleaned regularly. No problems ever getting sunbeds. Only one bar in the evening, but they are happy to let you get as many drinks as you like at one time to save keep going up and queuing. We had superior rooms which were lovely - modern and clean and big enough for a couple. The food was fine, English sausages and bacon at breakfast, and lots of choice, meat and fish cooked by the chefs to your taste during evening meals. Beer and wine on tap - tasted fine to us. The ladies in our group used the spa. Treatments aren't cheap, but are value for money. If you hire a fridge and/or safe, you get a voucher which gets you free entry to the jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Use them! We went for a week at the beginning of September, I would happily have stayed another week. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole holiday. Yes, there were a few little niggles, but you would get that anywhere. I would stay here again. Collapse

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights. We booked superior room and we were pleasantly suprised. The room was great and nicely decoreted. We could see the pool area and sea from our balcony. If you like sandy beaches you have to walk less than five minutes to them. You have a beach right across the street from the hotel but it's a bit rocky. The 2 pools are fine, one is colder than the other but it is not that bad. We booked half bored because we are usually exploring during lunch time. You have lots of options for breakfast and dinner. There is just one thing I would recommend, to put some signs for vegeterians. So you don't have to wonder what's in food. And also I don't understand why you can't get tap water for free if you don't have all inclusive. But that's problem in almost every hotel. Overall, I would return to this hotel. Collapse

Unbiased review. Have just spent a week here and feel it's only fair to give an unbiased review as some of the recent reviews are from people that have obviously let something blinker their judgment and therefore their review isn't of any value for future travellers considering visiting this hotel. Firstly upon arrival at Lansarote airport it was great that the transfer was only ten minutes away. Yes you see the planes coming into land and there is a little noise. However we like most visitors really enjoyed watching them. I recommend leaving the hotel grounds by the gates near the pool and walking left towards the airport. We went most mornings before breakfast and it's a great little walk you can actually be directly under the planes as they come into land. If you go right instead after a few minutes you come to shops and restaurants. A few minutes further and there is a better selection. When we checked in the staff were polite with great English and explained what was included as part of our all inclusive package. When we got to our room were pleased to see that it was one of the refurbished ones and everything was done to a high standard. We could see the sea from the balcony. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant also towards the end of our week we were invited to have breakfast in the pool bar-I think this was only a trial and not everyone was offered it. If you are. Jump as the chance it makes a nice change. During the day the pool bar serves drinks or you can self serve hot drinks, soft drinks and San Miguel. Also mid morning rolls and donuts etc are available on the bar. Lunch is available at the pool bar or the main restaurant. On Friday and Saturday lunch was also available in the burger bar. Well worth trying for a change. The pool bar remains open till late. Dinner is served in main restaurant and on certain days the oriental and Italian restaurant are open as well but these are an additional €5 per person. We didn't dine in these. After dinner the show bar is open serving drinks until midnight. Also different entertainment is available each night. The food is all of an acceptable quality. This is an international hotel and the food reflects this. We certainly never went hungry although some of the combinations were eclectic. Obviously it may not be to everyone's taste but I can honestly say that you do not need to worry about the food. The drinks available include San Miguel, all unbranded spirits, sangria, red, white, rose, cava wine hot drinks, soft drinks and slush based cocktails and soft drinks. My personal favourites was tequila sunrise. There is a menu on the bars telling you what cocktails were available. Bottled water is available here and i'd recommend getting some to take back to your room for through the night and morning. There is a piano bar and sports bar that were both chargeable bars. We never visited either- no need to. We did see people bring drinks from other bars to there but didn't see the need. All of the staff were very polite and if you try and learn a couple of Spanish words they really appreciated it. At no point did we queue for more than a minute for a drink. Certainly there was no preference to different wristbands as i've seen in previous reviews. The entertainment team were so hard working and if your taking children they will love it. There are photographers that take pictures of you to purchase if you wish. They build a portfolio of work for each child they photographed. All done in a non pushy way and to a high standard. The room maids were incredible room was always cleaned to a high standard and even when we stayed in our room and put the do not disturb on the door until after lunch, we were surprised to find that our room had still been cleaned. On our first morning a kettle was delivered to our room. The fridge in our room was not locked and was handy for storing water in. I believe this is normally locked and not unlocked unless you pay €3 a day or buy €25 of items to fill it and they unlock it for free. Pool towels are available for a €10 deposit each. Pay deposit at reception and then take card to hut near pool. At the end of your holiday return the towels to reception and get your deposit back. There was always enough pool loungers and yes you can take inflatables in the pool. Reception can order a taxi if you want to go further and our arrived in two minutes. It cost €8 to go to Biosfera shopping centre in puerto del Carmen. Collapse
