My friend and I stayed here for a week during what we know is the peak of the year and were very happy with our stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful! I was impressed with the pool and pool bar food was very good there. Maybe a few more sun loungers would be good as you would have to be up by 8am each morning to get one, this suited us fine but for big families or people wanting a lie in? Breakfast was great, they had a wide variety that would suit almost everyone, the one thing I would say was that the coffee was very sweet not to my taste! Overall very impressed with the hotel, the food and the staff! The shuttle bus to Gale and Albuferia are extremely handy!! I would definitely recommend. Collapse

we stayed as a couple for 4 nights and 5 days August 2017. Receptionists were lovely people, from pool staff to bar staff to cleaners all really friendly. The views are stunning from hotel, balcony enough room for 2 people with a table and 2 chairs. The rooms are dated No fridge, no kettle, no iron. I know we aren't at home but to me they are essentials in a hotel. The air conditioning work well, didn't turn the tv on at all so not sure what channels. Breakfast wasn't to my liking favourite things were very small pastries, toast not to a 4**** at all. Latte/cappuccino were so sugary, the beans were salty, bacon fatty. With having no fridge drinks had to be bought in hotel no shops within a mile that we could see. you pay 2 euros for a small bottle of fanta at the bar and at the pool 2.5 euros for a can of fanta so could get very expensive with a thirsty family. The free shuttle bus is a big plus side daily if you miss that its about 8 euros into old town. Albuferia is a beautiful place and beaches are stunning, Atlantic ocean is very cold! very cooling on a summer day. Pool bar food was lovely, I was annoyed 2 mornings i tried getting a lounger both times they were full of towels so ended up at the beach which is a about 800metres from hotel a lovely walk and well worth it. This hotel is in the country and there is not much going on for children. The Pool is big but really dissappointed with the towel hoggers as when we come back the same loungers were not filled still with towels unused. we managed to get 2 loungers on our last day after checking out for afew hours. Overall i wouldn't stay here again, I would definitely visit Albuferia or The Algarve again. Friendly, beautiful beaches, Great Food lively, great town for young, mature, couples, families of all ages. Collapse

Just returned from a 10 day holiday staying at Bain Grande. Not sure were to begin all so positive. Upon arrival received a warm welcome from Hugo on front desk. Extremely helpful could not do enough for us. Our room was a family suite could not be faulted room 116Q and 116 S , clean modern and ideal for all of us. Pool area amazing so spacious and considering in peak season plenty of bed chairs to choose from. Pool bar was well manned by Emanuelo and Carlos. Always found time for a chat and very attentive. Lunch served at pool bar was always fresh and tasty. The meals in hotel could not be faulted. Breakfast vast choice and evening meals offered great themed foods from Mexican, Italian, French etc. The food never disappointed. The evening entertainment in the main bar was varied and quality acts. Staff in main bar particularly Viktor was helpful and made us always feel welcome. The service of the free transport into town and the beaches was well utilised by us and a real asset. We all agreed that this hotel is nearer 5 star could not fault the whole experience. Plus the weekly BBQ night is a must not to be missed. Fantastic selection of foods and live music all in s great setting poolside. We look forward to returning again. I have travelled considerably around the world over the years. And this is definitely somewhere I will return. Bravo Baia Grande and thank you for a wonderful family holiday Collapse

The hotel is very clean, spacious and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Located just about 10 mins walk from picturesque Coehl'a beach. It's got a large outdoor swimming pool, great bar, delicious food, entertainment including bbq nights, piano concerts and happy hours deals. Located in the outskirts of resort centre, therefore a regular free shuttle is available for all guests to pre book with last service around 7pm. It goes to Albufeira city centre and nearest beach. Driven by a professional and reliable staff - let me mention 'Thiago' in particular. Resort centre is always busy and loud with music, street performers and tourists passing by. Rich with bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Loads of seasonal attractions, trip offers and great beaches. The only minus is unfortunately local bus service which practicly is not existent. Was forced to use taxis, mini tourist trains or sightseeing tour double decker instead before been told where the main coach station was based. Despite all that, me and my husband had a fabulous time. We recommend it to everybody and looking forward to visit it again sometime in the future! Collapse
