My husband and I had an amazing stay at Bab Al Shams. The staff is very polite and well trained. There is always a smile and an attention.it was my birthday and without announcing it, a tray with sweets was delivered at our room. The resort is peaceful, well taken care, although there are a lot of activities. We preferred the archery. The room was very well decorated, full of ambiance as well outside with comfortable rooftops, near the rooms. For sure this will not be the last time we pay a visit at Bab al Shams. Collapse

Everything was wonderful. We were upgraded to a garden terrace room, not sure what we had originally booked. Big room, huge bed, day bed in corner, lovely bathroom, Arabian theme, great air con, free fruit bowl. Really lovely. Excellent Wifi. Pool area was wonderful. Enjoyed talking to the camel and falcon staff, but thought it was unnecessary for so many people to need to ride the poor camels! We chose not to, but enjoyed hearing about their care and organisation. All the staff go out of their way to provide excellent service. We stayed on a promotional package which included half the room rate (before taxes and fees) back in credit to use at the resort. This meant about 675 dirham. We were a little disappointed to find it had to be used in one transaction. We had hoped it could have been spent at the pool bar, the rooftop bar etc over the time there and then just credited to our room at the end. In saying that, we dined at the rooftop bar and loved it. The seafood platter was amazing and the cocktails were lovely. We were pleased we chose Al Sarab over the specialty restaurant Al Hadeerah, as we visited Al Hadeerah restaurant after our meal and found that the crowded atmosphere and huge variety of food would not have been our preference. We just didn't have the appetite for hot BBQ etc in the heat. It was lovely to sit in a quiet atmosphere in the heat on the rooftop at Al Sarab, listenign to the solo guitarist and relaxing. Breakfast at Al Forsan was excellent, but unfortunately I slept in and so had to rush a bit. Blame the comfy bed! Huge variety of food. Loved it. Really pleased we made the trip out here, it was the highlight of our 3 night in Dubai. Collapse

ABSOLUTELY WOW!!! So glad I booked this place as I wasn't 100% sure about traveling so far just for a couple of days but it significantly surpassed my expectations - I will definitely be back! We got a deluxe room which was just fab, love the decor and style of everything. The property is very well thought out (lots of attention to detail) and exceptionally well maintained. Lovely and quiet - very relaxing with fantastic views of the desert and unbelievable sunsets! The staff were excellent and very friendly and we loved that the bar did a happy hour and wasn't as expensive as we expected. Breakfast buffet was great with a large choice of fresh and tasty food, different juices, even 6 different types of honey! Very impressive! We ate at the Pool bar for lunch which was exceptionally good, the Dune in the evening which was also very good (however £15 for 2 bottles of water is excessive even for Dubai!) and the roof top restaurant for the last night which was also nice. I was surprised how reasonable the food and drink prices were considering they have a captive audience! The whole stay I consider to be extremely good value, I have paid much more in places that are nowhere near as good. Collapse

We expected the resort to be nice, but we were not expecting to be blown away. The grounds are immaculate, the staff top class, and the numerous little touches throughout the place is above and beyond (cold towels brought to you while lounging at the pool, fruit on a stick, popsicles, camel rides, bikes, etc). I highly recommend going to the show and buffet, though calling it a buffet is an understatement. There is so much food to choose from, nicely arranged in little stations. The show is amazing. Plan on spending at least three hours enjoying the fine food and entertainers. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the swimming pool which was very nice. Great products in the bathroom. We spent two nights there and could have easily stayed another two. Collapse
