Hotel is right on the beach. However, we did not get a room facing the beach or even on the beach. There is a catwalk on the 3rd floor that takes you to other side of street. Our room was facing the beach side which made for a wonderful view in the morning, Yay. The restaurant Naked Crab was very slow to get our drink order, but after the first round of drinks, the food came quickly and so did the second round of drinks. Food was excellent. Afterwards we went to see the mermaid show at the bar, that was great... it gets packed so get a seat as soon as possible. Collapse

We went to Ft. Lauderdale to take a 10 hour tour of the Everglades, so we needed a hotel for 2 nights. We chose B Resort because it was on the list of pick-ups for the tour, and because it was right on the beach. Our Standard King was roomy and very comfortable, with big picture windows. We took several walks on the beach and it was beautiful! There was a lovely infinity pool as well. The staff was very professional and friendly. Be prepared for the added expense of the "resort fee" ($22 per night) and the $35 parking fee. There are 2 bars -- one with live mermaid shows on the weekends -- and another in the restaurant. The restaurant bar was fun, but the restaurant itself was expensive and pretty mediocre. There are other restaurants within walking distance. They looked like mostly fast-food types, but I would recommend checking them out. Collapse

This was my first time traveling with my 2.5 year old son by myself. I was looking for a hotel right on the beach because I didn't want to have to schlep him back and forth when he changed his mind every 30 minutes about being on the beach or in the pool. This hotel did NOT disappoint. The service everywhere was wonderful. From Ashley at the front desk, to the pool and beach staff, to the concierge and room service workers, anything we needed was handled quickly and kindly. We stayed in the beach tower and the room had a fantastic view of the beach. There was a volleyball tournament earlier in the month so the workers were taking down the bleachers and my son was obsessed with the construction vehicles. The bathroom was fine, I liked the shower. Wouldn't mind an extra hook to hand the towels on as we had our swim suits on the ones in the shower most of the time. Some helpful tips: -- If you're not bringing a carseat, call the concierge (I worked with Tina who was great) to arrange a car. For $25 we were given a driver and carseat to many places, including the airport. This was much better than $70 I paid for the car service on the way to the hotel from the airport. They can arrange for the company to pick you up at the airport when you arrive. -- Take advantage of the Sun Trolley! For $1, you can take the trolley (my son thought it was Daniel Tiger's) along the beach route. We took it to Publix to buy milk boxes and some snacks. It was fun to ride and you can hop on/off right outside the hotel. -- Our room was quite cold. I kept turning the thermostat up (to where it said 78 but clearly wasn't) but it never got warm. I finally turned the entire unit off, and it eventually became a comfortable temperature. I didn't turn the until back on until the last day. I did hear someone requesting a heater be brought to their room, so that's apparently an option. Some things I think the hotel could value from improving upon: -- Breakfast (even continental) could really be included. -- The elevator in the beach tower was painfully slow. Like, awful. There were times we waited for at least 5 minutes. There are only 5 floors in the beach tower so I don't understand why that was happening. (I would have taken the stairs but yeah, toddler.) -- They could have a children's menu. I asked at breakfast about ordering one pancake as opposed to the grown-up version, and the waiter told me they could make a smaller portion/child's size. Also not on any of the menus, yet still available for the kids, are grilled cheese and chicken tenders. All in all, great location, and the private beach was great. Both pools were heated and nice. The little cafe downstairs in the lobby of the main building was nice for a quick, small coffee/croissant in the morning, but one day we did walk next door to the Mariott to get a big iced coffee from Starbucks. One last thing I want to clarify is that I read many, many reviews of people complaining about the $30/day to park. There is a sign on the valet when you drive in that states self-parking is only $10/day. I'm not sure if that is a new addition, but that seems like a good option if you don't want to pay for the valet. We will be coming back to this resort for sure! Collapse

I was extremely hesitant after reading so many negative reviews, however my boyfriend and I were beyond happy with the service, atmosphere, and location of this resort. We arrived around 9pm and our check in was extremely quick. The lobby has a very open and inviting atmosphere. Guests were hanging out, eating, playing cards, etc.. The mini lobster rolls & shrimp cocktail from the Naked Oyster were delicious and Mark the bartender at Shipwrecked went out of his way to get fresh espresso & make martinis....they were awesome :) Big shout out to the guys who set up the beach chairs. So friendly & helpful The only complaint was the one rainy day! Collapse
