Had a great time - weather 23 degrees, beautiful blue sea and sky. Hotel was good yes the rooms were a bit dated but they are gradually being decorated and revamped. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food offered a good choice. All inclusive drinks were fine and it was a nice touch to have the drinks served to you at mealtimes. The courtesy bus was useful and good to walk back from the old town along the beautiful beach. The location of the hotel is stunning and would certainly return. Used Sunline transfers and could not fault them. Collapse

We went to this hotel on All inclusive. Only to find it was not All but only sometimes. So it should be a Now and again inclusive deal. The rules/restrictions for the bar not only for alcoholic drinks but also for soft drinks are ridiculous. There is only one area where free WiFi is available and that is around the reception where there is also a bar. However we only saw the bar open briefly on two days out of the seven we stayed there. On one occasion I asked for a 7 up. As it was in a bottle l would have to pay for it. ALL INCLUSIVE l said. In that case you will have to go to the other bar ,said the bar tender, which was all the way down the other end of the hotel. Also when getting a beer it is only served in very small glasses. So during a evening don't bank on sitting down for long as most of the time will be spent in the All inclusive que at the bar or tramping backwards and forwards from the reception area. Also all inclusive no matter what bar finishes Rooms are clean but not very modern. Beds are very hard. Reception will charge .50 cents to ring for a taxi, but the staff are friendly. Room safe had a daily charge to it. Plus you have to leave a deposit for the room key, which is refunded on checkout. Collapse

We arrived at the Hotel at around 11:30am,expecting our room not to be ready and of course it wasn't, that's totally understandable. Marco on reception greeted us with a happy smiley face and from that moment on for the next 5 days the staff couldn't do enough for us. ok I will do the negatives first and get them out of the way 1 Too many steps/no disabled access to the pools unless you find a route via lifts in block c 2 The outdoor pools were not heated and despite having 22c degrees they were like ice baths(which brings point3) 3 The seagulls in the main pool. Obviously if the pool was heated then there would be more people using them and the seagulls wouldn't be a problem 4 The bar in the lobby area was for tea and coffee only.....please change this to help those who cant get to the pool bars. 5 Yes the food was maybe a bit repetitive but it was ok 6 the toasters are really slow and you have to put your slice of bread through 2 or 3 times to get any colour. 7 I wasn't happy that a young Chinese girl decided to strip off her outer clothes that she had been wearing while swimming in the heated indoor pool to put on her bikini. not very hygienic. 8 I didn't win the Crazy Golf (lol) OK now the good points and there are quite a few so please keep reading 1 All the staff are hard working and really friendly 1a a special mention to Marco on reception, Oxana and all the restaurant staff, Allan in the downstairs bar who made us very welcome 2 Our original room was in c block which is a fair walk from reception so when we asked to be moved(my wife has arthritis in her right knee) we were moved to D block on the same level as the restaurant without any fuss and within an hour of asking(thanks Marco you were a star) 3 Our room was clean and tidy, cleaned everyday that we requested it, we had a 2 ring cooker a fridge and a kettle. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but who needs that much space anyway the only negative was that the toilet was too close to the wall for comfort 4 The shower........................WOW ....IT WAS POWERFUL #lovedit 5 from parrots and snakes to Brazilian dancers and a karaoke night(I sang loads) The evening entertainment while basic was interesting to say the least..... Thanks Miguel for playing my request ''when the saints'' 6 The bar staff whilst restricted to serving 2 drinks per person got to know our little band of drinkers and occasionally broke their own rules which was nice. 7 The bus to the old town was an unexpected bonus and while it only runs 3 times a day the driver came back for us when the bus was full on the first morning run. 8 it was a good time to go as there weren't too many screaming ''I want I want'' kids like there are in the summer months. 9 Checking in and out was easy, yes there was a minimal wait but surely that's to be expected at a busy hotel On the whole, we really enjoyed our time at this hotel and we wold recommend it and the staff to anyone I can understand some of the bad reviews as its going to be different at other times of the year but the staff as I said did an excellent job Its a 3 star hotel you aren't going to get the Ritz quality but it was great for us Would we go back again? you bet we would. we discussed making a booking for next year on the plane home. this is a 3*hotel. its in a great location. Overlooking the sea. The room was good, clean, a balcony, with a table & chairs, abit dated, but it had all you could need, except a kettle & a hairdryer. We went all inclusive, food was good, a good selection, , hot & cold. The evening entertainment, was OK, but could have had abit more of it. The hotel runs a free bus, 3 times a day, into the old town. There's shops & bars situated, a short walk away. Great sun terrace around the outdoor pool, which wasn't heated, a cafe style restaurant, there, with hot & cold food Collapse
