I have to say that Atlantis, the Palm is worth its price. Beautiful hotel, lovely view from my balcony. I could almost all the iconic buildings of Dubai from there. Extra security for guests, with security guards at every entry asking for your room key. Breakfast Buffett was excellent with large spread with all kind of varieties. Only checkout was little messy, rest a great experience. Collapse

We were amazed with the cleanliness ,rooms and staff in this hotel. Weather wasn't the best, however the amazing aquarium and other facilities made sure we weren't bored at any time. There are plenty of good eateries and restaurants, however Ramsey's Bread Kitchen DISSAPOINTED . That's the only food let down and unfortunately a UK brand. We also tried the Seafire, Yuama and Locotellis , all lived up to expectations. This is a very American Disney type Hotel, therefore right for children and adults alike. Adults can explore Dubai whilst children of a certain age can enjoy the water park at the Hotel. The Hotel is therefore very busy and boisterous being a hotel for families, however quiet corners can be found. One word of warning is that there is still a lot of construction work across the water from the beach, so not the best of views. Dubai on a whole comes at a price, particularly alcoholic drinks,so be prepared. Would defenatley stay here again even without children. This would have been the ideal place for us as a family some years back. The buffets are manic, so we avoided these, not having children with us. Collapse

We came back from The Atlantis having stayed at many many 5 star hotels all over the world. The hotel was immaculate in every way but what made this holiday even more special for us and our children was the unbelievable attention and service we received from firstly Anish. He was so attentive and professional as well as Kishan and Mahesh - so thanks once again to these guys and the rest of the team in the Imperial lounge for making this holiday - wonderful. We would definitely like to stay at the hotel again !!! Collapse

This hotel is like a glorified Europa Park to me. It has a beautiful layout, garden and marbled interior. But the lobby reception feels like an airport checkin, always full of people check in or out. To go from the east tower to the west tower , you can't avoid the lobby chaos. Breakfast always has a queue which surely doesn't help deliver a 5 star hotel feeling. There is no top floor common area where you can go have a look of the Palm island and Dubai skyline at night unless you book one of those rooms. The beach, since it is man made doesn't have the best sand. What is worse to me is the horrendous construction view all around. That's pretty much most of Dubai. Everywhere you turn your head, there is a construction site or one of those kangaroo cranes lurking around. That surely doesn't deliver a serene holiday feeling. We were not lucky w the weather in February. For the 10 days we were in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, there was only clouds, rain, sand storm and chilly days. The water park is not heated. So be aware, bring your wetsuit for kids if you don't want to freeze. The big royal pool is heated, but I don't understand why they don't heat the kids pool by the playground. The hotel is very family friendly, that means a lot of families w kids small or big. That also pretty much determines the dining room ambiance which is like a high decibel canteen full of people. We were on half board. The only restaurant that doesn't charge extra and offers good food is Saffron. Make sure you reserve as soon as you check in. Otherwise you don't get the slot and have to eat in kaleidoscope or the Lebanese restaurant. I will attach an extra charge list for you to see whether it is worthwhile to buy your half board. Nobu literally charges extra 400 AED per person on top of your HB. You pay extra even for water and soft drinks in HB. In my opinion unless you want to come to the water park everyday, stay somewhere else. The water park is quite nicely done. But it doesn't have that many rides, total 10 rides. If your kids are not over 120cm, don't even waste your money. There is not much for them to do. There are shops in the hotel, but again, if you visit Dubai, you have to visit Dubai mall which is amazing and has literally the best shopping from NYC, London, Paris , Milan combined. You don't want to shop here in Atlantis. The monorail is interesting to take to see the Palm a bit( which is half unfinished, lots of construction sites going on). But don't try to use the public transport here. They are so badly connected, you will end up walking KMs. I hope i am not too negative as I am aware there are many fans of this hotel. It is just too stressful staying in a hotel of 1500 plus rooms, too loud, too many people, too many queues and too not personal. Collapse

This was the perfect way to end our European winter holiday. Atlantis, The Palm is the utmost in resorts. It is HUGE!! Absolutely everything is catered for. Porters wait at the kerb, ready to unload your luggage. Just give them your name, and you can forget about it (They'll bring it to your room after you have checked in), but don't forget to tip. From the moment you get out of your limousine, there is so much to look at. The entrance is stunning. Beautiful gardens and palm trees surround the entrance. In the lobby, there is a massive floor-to-ceiling glass sculpture. Corridors lead off to different wings (like I said, this place is huge), with lifts to take you to your room. The rooms are gorgeous. Ours had a view of Dubai and the ocean. At night, the lights of the city were amazing! The rooms are so spacious, and the large bathroom has folding doors that open out to the living area, so you can lay in the bath and look out to the beautiful view. Even the towels here are huge! The rooms have tea/coffee facilities, although, breakfast was included with our booking. Breakfast/brunch was awesome! The dining area, like everything else, was huge, with tables inside and outside. The food offered was beautifully laid out and catered to the fussiest eater imaginable. There were a variety of breakfast foods from a variety of cultures. Chefs were on hand to make omelettes on request. All the food is Halaal, but turkey bacon is available. Not quite bacon, but a good substitute. One of the other restaurants boasts a floor to ceiling fish tank, complete with sharks, stingrays and other deep sea marine life. Guests are able to scuba dive in the tank if the urge arises. The resort offers a multitude of water sports and other activities. Unfortunately, we were only on a 2-day stop over, so didn't have time to explore. We managed to fit in a dune ride and dinner in the desert, that included a camel ride, a hawk demonstration and a belly dancer. The resort also has a selection of high class clothing and jewellery stores, gift shops, restaurants and bars. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. We really need to come back here.
