Wow, what and amazing hotel , right from the get go, the service from check in to dinner service was on point, the whole hotel was filled with warm welcoming staff . We were traveling with our 3 year old and 8 year old , this was are first big family holiday . We knew a lot of the comments said it was expensive, but we had the half board package, On arrival they upgraded us straight away compliments of the hotel, my daughter was really unwell on the flight and we were all so tired , So to start our holiday like that was a bonus, We had a turn down service and a beautiful ocean view , with the upgrade. There was more than enough room at the pool for beds, and they also provided beach towels , which were very large and clean. I noticed at every corner of the pool or water park witch was inclusive as a hotel guest , a life guard, also amazing safe jackets , of all sizes for the children. These were free usage, this made me feel very safe to have fun in a fabulous environment with my children. There was so much to do at the water park we had to go back 2 days , just spending a few hours a time there, We also did the Dolphin experience, for me and my son ,who's 8 this was worth every penny, it was very laid out and organised . The room was cleaned beautifully, plenty of towels and extra waters, The only slight comment I have that is not by far a critical one, was just a remark from our family ,was we wished there was more child friendly food at the buffet restaurant, there was vegetables and fish , for my daughter witch she loved the food it was great tasting and loads of various types , but having a little fussy eater , we could have done with just some plan basic kids food. Saying that we ate around the pool side 2x lunches in a row and the food was delicious, We will be returning , thumbs up from all 4 of us !! Collapse

Be aware the price of drinks is expensive. Glass of wine £9+, beer £12+, bottle of wine £35+. Look out for happy hours with half price or two for one on selected drinks. Water in the room was complimentary but water at meals was £8 a litre. The hotel was spotless. We felt very safe around the hotel and in Dubai. Security was really good and visitors to the hotel looked after well. The pool and water park had excellent lifeguards always watching and reacting immediately to anything unsafe. The bed was super king and memory foam, very comfortable. When we arrived our child's bed hadn't been set up so we had to request this but it came quickly. All the restaurants were lovely, some has additional charges per head. We couldn't use three restaurants as we had a child under ten, this was a shame but there was plenty of other choice. Our room didn't have a balcony so we had trouble drying our swim things in the air conditioned room, we had an opening door but just a railing - I recommend you take some strong grip pegs for pegging out items that can't be tied on. This is hotel is not what I would call a 5* luxury venue, it is more appropriate to describe it as a destination for families. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the room was adequate and the bed comfortable. I would recommend dining in both Ossiano and Yuan, they are excellent restaurants. I would avoid having breakfast at Saffron- Imagine a poor school canteen on steroids and you are close to visualising what a complete horror show it is. Either pay for the club room so you get access to a much more civilised breakfast area, or plead with the nice lady behind the desk to let you in anyway. What really lets this place down is the service. The check in experience was sullied by the desk attendant being more interested in upgrading us, than bothering to explain how the hotel worked. As such, she failed to tell me that I had to ask her to take an authorisation on my credit card before I could charge anything to my room. In every other hotel I have stayed in, they do this automatically. This meant that when I signed for my breakfast, a waiter chased after me loudly exclaiming that I hadn't paid and made me feel like a criminal. Upon learning their system, I then went to the desk and asked them to authorise an amount on my card. Went to a restaurant that evening... asked them to charge it to my room... lo and behold, they said they couldn't. I didn't have my wallet with me and yet again there was an embarrassing conversation about payment. Back to the desk, and it turns out the lady I asked to authorise my card forgot to do it. Helpful. Toward the end of my stay, we learned that if you have an Emirates Skywards number, you get 15% off in the restaurants, something else the attendant on check in forgot to mention. The reception refused to back date this discount until I complained, and someone in a senior position saw sense. What knocks the whole experience down to 1 out of 5 is that the hotel are STILL holding a £3000 authorisation on my credit card, even though I settled the bill in full when I checked out. In layman's terms, this means that I can't access those funds as the hotel has ringfenced them. I called the hotel to enquire about this and I got told that they would cancel the authorisation within two weeks or so. Completely and utterly unacceptable. Collapse

located on the Palm Island which is man-made island, the Atlantis Hotel is quite beautiful, but the island is too small for you to take the view travel. you can only find the happiest thing in the waterpark or Aquarium.
